You want real speed and fun on Multiplayer ? Seriously, buy an S2.
When I was Demo Racer (long time ago), I was playing with Tweaker and shit, but it's totaly useless when you have GTRs and Formula.
I also think that Westhill is now finished but they are waiting to finish the DK2 support and 3D mirrors to publish 0.6G, so we have to wait a week or two I suppose.
I've been waiting for 6 years for a great update, I don't really care waiting 2 weeks more
[QUOTE=sinanju;1865600]If you look at the LFS Options Settings Survey HERE, you'll see that only 1 person out of the 130 who've filled in the survey has opted to play music ingame, so I wouldn't think it would be used much.

This person, it's me
I like the music that Victor created for LFS (the music addon pack). ^^
But it can be an option, for example /radio on a server, not forced song, and why not an option in the Audio menu 'Allow server to play songs' [yes/no]
I was wondering, why does LFS don't have a Insim option to Stream music or song from server to clients, so it can create a custom racing channel (with differents types of songs, so the song adapts to the Sounds volume settings). It could be nice on every type of server, from cruise to race and drift ones.
So, today I was installing HD textures for LFS (because somes LFS's textures never changed since S1 and are really bad) and I wanted to publish my Cromo wheel witch I quickly reproduced in a better quality. I hope you like it, and enjoy.
With nowaday screens (1080p for example), car skins in 1024px are too bad, and LFSW compress them too much (it's less important for helmets for example, nobody look at other's helmet ).
It is possible to increase the size to 2048px and with less compression (for example JPG with 80% compression (approximatively 400ko per skin) ?
Times changed sinces the start of LFSWorld, and quality need to be reajusted. What do you think LFS community & LFS devs ?
I'm sure that the Occulus Rift support will make tons of new players in Live for Speed really soon, and the HD remake of tracks, cars and drivers finish making LFS on his new era
Finally ! 3D mirrors !
Does the mirrors are relative to head position in VR ?
---- Little suggestion here : ----
When you'll code it, can you add an option to enable mirrors in pursuit view ?
If you can do it quickly, an option to show our own chassis in the mirrors (so we can see a bit of glass and interior in it, it's more realistic) ?
Sorry if I ask to much, I just want to have cool mirrors for our favorite game
Recently, Scawen has opened car shaders to the community, and we started to see some cool shaders being developed. So I naturally thought that it could be cool to find them all on one thread.
So people, show us your programming skills in HLSL !
My shaders (version 1.2, compatible with 0.6R, 0.6R10 version available too) (download in attachments, shaders_v1-2_0.6R.zip):
Shader pack including shaders above + ReShade preset (shader-pack.zip or shader-pack_NoDOF.zip (recommended)):
I'd like to thank you for theses updates, and Eric for the Westhill update that will come soon. It's a really cool you add some new tech for LFS (even if I don't have a Occulus Rift or a 3D screen, like most of the people). Updating the game to DirectX 9 increased my FPS by 10-20% (now 400+ FPS ).
I think that now the 3D patch is ready, and the DK2 support will not take long time (you have now experience in VR ), and I really want for LFS to go S3 for the end of the year (I know it will be hard). I'm sure that the community can help you with your problems, so don't hesitate to post them here (we want to develop LFS with you ! ).
By the way, can you give us a progress report about the tyre physics and other S3 content (and Westhill too) ?
So thanks again for getting back on LFS developpement !
