Autocross layout editor is not a track editor, grass squares and dirt slabs are not needed.
Already existing car models disposed around tracks (ambulances, 4x4, truck, etc) would be nice and not hard to add however.

But it didn't worked on K6 on my desktop (I can't try again on my desktop this week, but it works on my laptop right now) :/
Maybe it's related to the fact that it was already enabled and it not a toggle or Scawen just added ? I already the third time that I say something that I encountered and disappears when I check again, I should really check before posting.

This is a really nice mod that I used a lot before.

It should be updated to 0.6K and uploaded somewhere safer.
I could upload it on MEGA if someone update this mod (I don't have time to do it myself), just like I uploaded NIGHT MOD 0.6G.

Quote from Scawen :Guys you are just confusing me now. It does remember the last window's size and position. If this is not the case on your computer, please can you do a good bug report and explain exactly how you did it?

Sorry, I miss read Dave's post, I just tried and it's perfectly saving on my side. Wink

Quote from Scawen :The thing is that SHIFT+F4 is an old key that only toggles between the previously selected resolution full screen and a window. I think that people who will now use a borderless window may find it easier to just use the one key SHIFT+F11 to go between window and borderless. So I think that making then all toggle might be more consistent and less confusing.

If SHIFT+F4 is removed and every SHIFT+F1x is a toggle, then yeah, that's seems good to me. Thumbs up

I agree that it should remember last windows size and position. Wink

Quote from Scawen :Does everyone think that pressing a SHIFT+F9 to SHIFT+F12 key should return to a window, if you are already in that key's mode? So it would have a toggle effect.

There is already SHIFT+F4 for that, I think adding it as a toggle will start to be really confusing.

Quote from pik_d :I think you mean analog stick, not a joystick.
This is a joystick:
Analog stick is what's on your gamepad.

Yeah, thanks, it french we call it "joystick" sometimes, even if that's not the appropriate word, thanks for the reminder lol Big grin

Scawen, why the game doesn't start on borderless again when I closed it that way ? That's annoying to press shift+F10 at each start. Shrug

Quote from PeterN :nacim, the "Analogue steer smooth" on the "Misc" settings can help with control pad steering. I always thought it odd that this setting is not under "Controls", though.

I know that, thanks, it really helps driving but it's not preventing any kind of over-oversteering, the joystick is still used like a wheel (while I'm at 300km/h with BF1, I can turn my joystick full left and the wheels will go full left too, that's not how it should behave with a controller).

Quote from pik_d :When you say steering help, do you mean smoothing out the inputs so they aren't so jerky, or what? I use Xbox360 controller as well, and maybe in FO8 or LX6 this would help, but maybe not...

I actually mean it more like a oversteering help, so you don't have to be extremely careful with the joystick and treat it like a wheel, so you can use like like a joystick, like any other racing game.
@Scawen : To really see what joystick should behave (because I know I'm not really explaining it correctly, everything is in the feel, hard to describe, and even harder not in my native language), try games like Dirt Rally, Project CARS, Trackmania, or maybe a simple Grand Theft Auto (IV or V). Wink

Quote from Scawen :Steering help... why?

To stop horrible oversteering when going full left/right on the joystick. At least add it as an option. I'm trained to use LFS with a controller, but my older brother that plays Dirt Rally and Project CARS found this really unbearable, and I understand it really much. I'm using my older brother as an example, because he's really on the targeted player base for LFS actually, but he's discovering the game so I can give you he's feedback as a new player.

Quote from Scawen :I guess XInput needs to be supported at some point. Is that only for a Microsoft game controller or is it for steering wheels as well?

Nearly every controller now on the market uses XInput. And with XInput you could add some force feedback with controllers, and make a default profile for controller so that new player can enjoy LFS with a controller, just plug and play. Wink

Quote from Scawen :Why is it a bug? It sounds like you are trying to assign SHIFT+F9 to your desktop resolution mode but you don't need to because it is already assigned to SHIFT+F10.

Yeah that's true actually, I guess this button is useless for me then lol Big grin

Nice ! I never really knew why IA driver can't drive in windy conditions, I never experienced real changes when driving with high wind actually (I never tried with single seaters though) Big grin

Scawen, it is possible that you add in a near future some real support for controllers ? Like a bit of steering help (not 100% like keyboard maybe), and XInput ? In the near future, I mean like this year lol, I know that you have a lot of things to do first, but no real controller support is really absurd for a racing simulator. Not everyone can buy/connect his wheel before playing LFS.

EDIT: Bug report, when trying to assign a button for resolution, I selected my current resolution, and clicked the "assign" button, but it returned an error, saying that SHIFT+F10 was already assigned for that (legacy verification code to clean here Big grin )

Quote from Scawen :How it looks at the moment.

Why the key are displayed as buttons can't they just be yellow text and clearly repeat "SHIFT + " ? It would be more logical since we can't click on it to change the button.

Quote from Scawen :About the full screen modes, currently I have this:

SHIFT+F9 - assignable full screen exclusive mode (like now)
SHIFT+F10 - default full screen exclusive mode (desktop resolution)
SHIFT+F11 - full screen borderless window (current monitor)
SHIFT+F12 - full screen borderless window (all monitors)

Nice and clear, I like it. Smile

I'd say that SHIFT+F11 will go borderless window on the screen were LFS was windowed the last time, so that if someone want to change the screen, he just has to go windowed, change screen, and go back borderless Wink

Lol, higher quality texture are nice, but for UF which doesn't even have an interior, it's quite useless lol.
He's totally right, car should be updated to at least match XR/XF quality, but we also all know that Eric is busy fixing Rockingham and making content for S3.

Have you tried to add a call to BringWindowToTop on start ? Maybe it can hide the taskbar.

I agree with the SHIFT+Fxx buttons, and the borderless window. However, I've never implemented that, so I really don't know what can be the problem for this unpredictable task bar.
When LFS is focused, the task bar disappear, right ? If so, everything is fine I guess. Wink

Lol, we are in 2016 now, LFS has to do it properly now, I mean with a Bloom post-process pass. Big grin
However, track lights that are far away could use this (light coronas) in order to make the city more alive, mostly at night time (which are not available on LFS right now).
