I was just having a read of the 2K Forums for Mafia 2. Everyone is in an absolute uproar about the game. Multiple people have canceled there pre-orders after hearing how short the Story is (1 Guy completed it in Hard Mode in 8 hours. 8!!) and the lack of Free-Roam etc. Now lot's of people are complaining of the PS3 version suffering from having a bad port.
Apparently, the PS3 version (compared to the 360 and PC versions) has no Grass, No Motion-Blur, No Blood, Clothes have no Physics and many other things.
There's some really unhappy bunnies over there. I hope this doesn't affect 2K's business in any way.
Sorry for double post, but got another request to any of you guys. Again, no rush on how long it takes.
If possible, I would also like the rear seats in the XR to be a similar style to the Recaro. Here is another terrible picture, but it was the best I could find.
Sorry if it sounds like I'm being a bit selfish chaps.
I know. I'm trying to find some but it's really hard to come across any pictures that are the light grey cloth ones, and so far, I've not managed to find any high quality pictures.
Thanks Tomba! Feel free to take as long as you like. I'm in no rush.
If you need experience on doing something as simple as changing a ****ing Gear Knob, then you should really think about not touching Cars.
Frankly, I can't even understand how you can look at a Handbrake Handle covered in plastic crystals, and think "Hmm. That might look good. Let's blow some money on it and find out!". It looks shite Migz! Same goes for all that other crap you bought, just like Lexus Lights. Even the chavs would laugh at you for having them, as they went out of fashion years ago.
Besides, is there any point on spending all that money on a 106, only to crash it like you did with your Fiat?
I would like to make a texture request for the XR. I would love it if one of you guys could make a texture that resembles the Light Grey Recaro seats commonly found in Ford Sierra Cosworths. Here are some pictures...
I'm sorry that the pictures are not of the greatest ones to work with. I will try and find some better ones later on Today.
Thanks in advance for anyone who may do this for me!
I have no idea. I'm pretty sure people have managed to get PS2 controllers working on LFS with the adapters you can buy off eBay, so maybe it would work on PC. I know that the Xbox 360 PC Controllers work on Mafia 2 though.
I can't even comment on the Arcade physics, as I haven't even drove a mile with them enabled.
That is the whole point in Simulation physics. The cars are meant to be more of a challenge to drive fast.
I seriously cannot see how you think the cars in Mafia 2 are not fun to drive though. Coming sideways out of your driveway with both the rear wheels smoking like mad is awesome! Personally though, I think the handling is quite realistic. Go play the demo again, and drive with a controller, not a keyboard.
If you take notice, the cars steering is slow, the suspension is soft and bouncy, and the cars tyres are of a huge profile, which means the car is slow to react to input...In my opinion, that is the way a 1950's car with leaf springs should react!
I was going to Pre-Oder the collectors Edition, but since finding out Mafia 2 will have no Multi-Player, I'm not so sure...
I am really enjoying the Demo though, and I'm spending at least an hour a day on it just messing around! When it gets released, I think I will just rent it out for a week and see what my impressions are, then just buy the collectors edition if I like the game enough.
Any Mugen or AMG models still have the Manufacturers name in them, like "Honda Civic MUGEN" or "MB SLK55 AMG". RUF does not. There just called "RUF xxx".
Just have a listen to yourself for goodness sake. Audi's Quattro System is fantastically average, both in there off road vehicles and performance vehicles. There Transmission system is not the best out there, not by a long shot. There are plenty of 4WD systems out there that offer much more in the terms of driving feedback and grip, as well as pure fun.
Take your god damn Fanboy glasses off.
I don't mean to sound like a brown nose, but your car is a thing of pure beauty! It's nice to see you have kept any modifications subtle.
Actually, I've drove numerous TT's (both old and new) with the Quattro System, the older shape S3 225, an RS4 and a few other models.
Maybe you should take a look at my post again though. I'm not entirely calling Audi's Quattro System bad, as it does things no better than other AWD systems on the road today. My point was, is that it's not interesting to me. If you like having a Car that pretty much does the driving for you, then great. As for me, I like a Car that has some character and feel, not one that just feels boring through the corners. Even my Honda Accord is more fun than any other Audi I have driven through the corners.
My question to you by the way. Have you ever driven a Audi fitted with a Quattro System, but driven it to the limit? If you have, then you would surely know that they do understeer like a "dog on mopped tiles" in most cases, and it's pretty easy for them to do so.
I only eat the slightly aged, yellow Bananas as they are soft and sweet (I hate ripe green Bananas that are tough to bite into. ) and I only eat Red Apples.
The bundle I was thinking of buying was a Zi8, a Gorilla mount (It's like a twisty piece of tubing, which you can bend around pretty much anything) and a suction mount, and then a 8gb SD Card and a uprated Microphone. In total, it shouldn't come to anymore than £140.
I did realize that some cameras are prone to wobble, hence why the Zi8 seems like a good buy. It can do 1080 and 720p HD videos, with the 720p being in 60FPS. It also has a anti-shake feature.
I'm waiting for my Friend to get back to me on finding me some models to take home for a few days.
I'm sure like most people who own a car, he can afford to maintain the car but will occasionally like to have a go himself to save some pennies. Heck, if he has the confidence to give it a shot, why shouldn't he?
It's a shame you don't even have the common sense (Or maybe you just lack any knowledge about cars??) to have a look yourself, before handing it over to the money grabbing grease monkeys who can barely hold a spanner, let alone repair a car.
