Quote from BlueFlame :wtf, it says "real feel enabled" where did you get force reversed from?

Read his post. If you press right ctrl+numpad8 it will say "Force Reversed" or something along those lines.

Quote from lukelfs :Just tried it out, Very detailed car, but i dont really like the FFB, I have realfeel plugin, but the car pulls side to side and it feels wierd to drive.. Anyone help me out? Im using 720, Could someone tell mee what ffb settings to use in Profiler?

If you mean that the steering wheel just pulls to one side or the other for no apparent reason, then you might want to try pressing right ctrl+numpad8.

Quote from obsolum :I had the same problem. Try pressing right ctrl+numpad8 when you're in the car. That fixed it for me. Your FFB strength in the options menu should be at -100% and the effects at "Low".

It would help if people read a thread

My settings in the profiler: 100% strength, 10% centering and 10% damper. Those were the settings that were recommended in the HistorX manual and I just stuck with those. Feels very good to me.

Quote from Niels Heusinkveld :After you run the supra the first time, there will be an entry in the realfeelplugin.ini file and then you enter the values you can see in the realfeel 'car upgrade' :

[Supra MKIV]
MaxForceAtSteeringRack=-4000.000000
SteeringDamper=11500.000000
FFBMixerRealFeelPercent=100.000000
SmoothingLevel=0

I can't really see that going all too wrong

Where does that .ini file go, exactly? Because all I did was copy the RealFeel.dll in the Plugins folder from my HistorX installation over to the new (clean) installation. That works for me, but now I haven't got an .ini file anywhere RealFeel is working perfectly, though, so I guess that's all that matters.

I didn't know that mid February 2009 was 1.5 years ago...

Lol, you're right, I thought that couldn't be right. I was mistaking it with the release of the original game. My bad.

Quote from Dannz :Very good job, the car is awesome to drive and looks fantastic. But I can't seem to get RealFeel working properly. I am remembering to activate the config file, and selecting the realfeel upgrade, but still when I go over around 30km/h the wheel will pull away from the centre, as if its doing the opposite of what it should be. I've tried putting the feedback percentage into the minus and plus values but that doesn't seem to help

Quote from Gills4life :There isn't an awful lot you can do with the setup. Just wheel camber and steering lock I think. Everything else is fixed iirc

And you can adjust the rear ARB a tiny bit. Now this is what the setup options on the road cars in LFS should be like

You need to take this up on the LTC forum. This isn't the place for it, no one can help you here.

Quote from squidhead :oh, damn it... Im starting to believe that this time Rockstar regular BS about "console exclusive" is actually console exclusive..

You do know that they already released an Xbox exclusive DLC almost a year and a half ago now, don't you? That should have already had you convinced that it wasn't BS

I've seen Tristan say in a thread somewhere that double clutching is pointless nowadays I've always wondered what the point in it was/is. I've tried it and I honestly can't feel a difference. Maybe I'm doing it wrong, I don't know, or maybe it's only useful in a certain type of car. I hardly know the first thing about engines so I have no idea what's going on inside of the engine when you're shifting, either

One thing I notice and that keeps bugging me is the rear view mirrors. They're significantly lower quality than the rest of the game. No AA at all and they even seem to be displaying a lower resolution or something. I don't mean the mirrors themselves, obviously, but the rear view they're displaying. Is this a general rF thing? I don't have the problem with the HistorX mod, so... Any ideas? Maybe a line in a .cfg file somewhere?

Quote from JJ72 :in the read me it is stated a realistic figure would be 26 degrees.

Alrighty, I'll change it to that then. Thanks!

By the way, Niels, do you think the default 20° of steering lock is realistic? Or should it be increased like it's the case in the HistorX mod? I've been driving the Supra with the default 20° and it feels good, but I'm just wondering.

I am soooo loving this car! It's bloody awesome I tells ya.

I can't seem to be able to adjust the amount of fuel to add when making a pitstop, though. It always fills 'er up to the top

Unless someone went mental.

Nathan was talking about the "rubberband" effect in GT, not the rewind feature in FM.

Quote from DaveWS :Nope, that's not what I mean. If you enable the virtual rev counter you can actually see that it is revving to 9000rpm.

It isn't with me, neither in the Turbo or the normal version Maybe try reinstalling or something?

Niels, this car feels terrific! And it looks great, too. This is wat a road car should feel like in a sim.

Are you taking notes, LFS Devs?

Hmm, £80 is a bit expensive for me as I only need a shifter. And you're right in that I would need to buy the USB adapter from ACT labs. So count me out

Good luck with the sale!

Quote from Forbin :I think the problem you are having is you don't know what all the settings do and you're too lazy to figure them out. In addition, you find yourself well off the pace, so you throw up your hands and whine about how all the setup options are unrealistic. If you can't make adjustments, no one else should be able to either!

What the hell are you talking about? The guy raises a fair point; a Formula BMW car shouldn't behave like that when going over curbs. Setup options have little to do with this discussion, IMO. And LFS setup options should be drastically reduced on most (if not all) cars in LFS, but that's beside the point here.

That's not exactly what the OP meant, though, but I'm pretty sure that with a bit of fiddling with scripts it should be possible.

just thougt of an mode which switches automatically between F9 and F10 during a race from time to time

You can make a script that does that for you. In fact I'm pretty sure there's already such a script available, somewhere.

Quote from M3THANOL :Well thanx devs for letting us know a bit about the progress of the scirocco and nowthe new tire model. It is GREATLY appreciated.

Well I wonder what this involves, I wonder whether we will get a drag slick , that would be cool, hehehe, but at least we know that the update should make the tires more realistic

This is the improvement suggestions forum. What is your suggestion?
