He obviously can't even get into Windows so none of that will be of any use to him.
From my fairly limited knowledge on this kind of stuff I don't think it's a motherboard issue. I'd be more inclined to think it's a hard drive problem of some sort. I don't suppose you have a spare HD with a OS installed on it lying around? If so, you could try plugging that in and see if the computer boots.
Or you could try unplugging your harddrive and plugging it into another computer to see if there's anything wrong with it?
Well that's what you're doing wrong then! LFS is meant to be raced online, not offline
There's loads and loads of Demo servers you can join without having to pay for a license, so get out there, find a decent server and race against real people.
Be warned though, there are a lot of idiots playing online who would rather wreck and crash into you than race fairly. If you happen to join a server full of such muppets, just leave and find another server. There are some very good ones I've heard, but don't know which ones exactly
That is absolutely unacceptable behaviour for an event of this stature IMO. Can't believe he didn't get penalized.
Gotta agree with bunder that that vid isn't really an advertisement for iRacing The sounds are very "meh", the graphics look very below average from that camera view and the overall look of the game is very "game-ish" rather than a proper racesim.
The GTR's should just be removed from the server altogether. When will (some) server admins finally understand that having GTR's (and GT2's and whatnot) racing with road cars is retarded. It. Just. Doesn't. Work.
From the GTR drivers' point of view all the roadcars are so slow in comparison that they're just moving obstacles rather than drivers they're racing. And from roadcar drivers' point of view the GTR's are just insanely fast. Depending on the track and the car you're driving you sometimes have less than a second between you getting a blue flag message and a GTR blazing past you. It's no fun for roadcar drivers and I can't honestly imagine it being any fun for GTR drivers either.
Give them a server of their own with multiclass GTR racing and remove them from the roadcar server. It would make the racing so much better and cleaner for both roadcar drivers and GTR drivers.
I don't see why that money couldn't be used to purchase an S3 license once it's released. Sure, it may very well cost more than £12, in which case you'll just have to add a few extra £ to your account and then just purchase a voucher for a S3 license
Haha, I didn't expect anyone to take the bait this early in the morning but boy was I wrong, you did a wonderful job there
For what it's worth, I couldn't care less about Drift or Cruise servers. I don't have a problem with them at all. Hell, I even go on LTC every once in a while I was just taking the piss, chill out.
My apologies to bring this back up 'cause it's off topic but I just thought I'd say I find that comment rather amusing as for the past couple of days I checked the number of players on the IHR server a few times - just out of curiosity - and it never had more than 3 or 4 players on (of which 1 or 2 are just idling there and not even racing) So yeah... obviously the racing will be fairly clean that way if you have just 1 or 2 people going round the track
No doubt you'll tell me that I checked at the wrong times and that there's always plenty of people on at the right times and whatnot, and I'm not going to argue about that as that may well be so. I'm just saying it never had any significant amount of people on at the times I checked, including right now which is generally considered to be more or less the busiest time on LFS servers.
I don't know... I've heard stuff that's a lot worse than that Of course it's lame of him to blame you for the song not sounding "right" but in and of itself the recording isn't that horrible IMO. It's just some simple guitar work.
What? It's just a custom view, right? You don't need anything for that, you can just adjust it in LFS' options. I have no idea where or how, though, as I've never done it I'm sure someone will answer your question shortly.
I find it rather amusing that the Brits are using "we" here
"We have to finish what we started" etc... You didn't start anything. The US did and the UK just tagged along. Everyone knows the UK is just the US' bitch And as such it's the US that should finish what they started.
