Lol, you have it the wrong way around. LFS can't tip rFactor (with the right mods and properly set up) or iRacing.

No, you can not use the H-shifter with GTR cars, and that includes the XFR. You also can not use the H-shifter with the Formula cars if I'm not mistaken. You can use sequential shifting or paddles for all the cars.

IMO realistic setup options on all the road cars is an absolute necessity in LFS, and it's where it's lagging behind the most compared to other sims. The hugely unrealistic setup options we have now make it so that people can come up with the most ridiculous setups and be fast with them.

Realistic setup options would be a huge leap forward for LFS. And not as a host option, 'cause that will just shift the problem elsewhere. Sure there's gonna be loads and loads of people whining over this. Well bugger them. When has it ever been different whenever a big change was made?

Additionally, you can go into options and set it so it automatically starts the needed systems.

EDIT: d'oh, that was indeed the problem. I had flicked the switch but apparently I had flicked it in the "off" position. I think it makes more sense for it to be in the "on" position when the little cap over it is down, though. That way you can't accidentally flick it off while driving.

Anyway, it's working now so I'll be doing some laps later today

So has anyone actually succeeded in starting the Abarth in this demo? I installed the demo and configured everything, but the car won't start for me. Do I have to register somewhere for this particular demo? I have the v1.1 demo and that works fine.

I've got a question that I've been meaning to ask but always forgot: do the automatic transmissions really drive like automatic transmissions? Or is it just like a manual transmission except that the game shifts for you, like pretty much all other games?

That didn't work for me, though. You're supposed to get e-labels mailed to you within 24 hours to stick them on your box, but I didn't get anything. This seems to happen to quite a few people, apparently. Tried two times, then contacted support about it through a form on their site and their reply was that I had to contact them by phone. I did that and my box got picked up the next day.

@2High2Shift - Keep in mind, though, that even with Teamspeak and/or Ventrilo installed you still won't be able to just hop on any server and talk with the people on that server. Some servers have their own TS/Vent server setup to which you can connect (some require a password which you can obtain by registering on their forum), but the majority of pick up servers in LFS don't have such a server.
