Does anyone else get the feeling that this may just be a troll having some "fun"? I don't know, it just seems to me that he's a bit too ignorant about cars and driving in general to be interested in LFS in the first place. And then his name... I don't know, smells kinda fishy to me

No, it does not simulate the stops, like AndroidXP said. If you want to have soft stops you have to adjust your wheel's rotation settings in the Logitech Profiler. So for the road cars that would be 720°, for the GTR's 540° and so on. Those are easy to "override" because the force isn't high enough, which is probably what you and bunder were getting at but didn't explain properly.

If you leave your wheel at 900° like the OP you won't feel any stops until you hit the actual hard stops (ie. the end of the wheel's rotation).

I'm not sure I understand what you're saying. Surely the "host" and the "server" are the same?

Lol, I feel the opposite. I did a Legends race the other day. It brings a whole new definition to the word "boring". Why anyone chooses to drive those is beyond me. I can understand it can be thrilling in something faster or bigger like proper Nascars or the Silverado, but running ~16 second laps in the Legends... that's beyond boring

Granted, the Solstice isn't the most exciting car to drive but once you master it enough to drive it at a reasonable pace it can make for some great racing. The SRF is something else, though. Twitchy little bugger, that is.

What problem have you got? They're just .wmv files; you download them and open them. They're not live streams or anything. They work fine here

I don't think there is a way to choose. From what I understand people get grouped together based on their iRating but seeing as you're both Rookies (with equally poor stats, I may add :tilt you can't see what your iRating is.

I figured the squeal would work like that. I also like the skid and wind sounds, they're much better than the default ones. I did think the engine sounded very good but wasn't sure if it was custom as I hardly ever drive the FZR.

Would you mind sharing those sounds? I understand if you don't want to, but just thought I'd ask. They really add to the game, I think.

Hmm, those are all custom sounds in that clip, no? And it has brake squeal as well, how does that work? AFAIK there isn't any "braking" soundfile in LFS? Is the engine sound custom as well?

What are you implying? That he uses vob mods? He already admitted that that's one of the things he's interested in. He also admitted that he has a cracked version of LFS alongside a licensed one. It's his computer, he can do whatever he wants on it, as long as he's careful about posting about "forbidden" stuff on the forum
