Looks pretty amazing, great to see this happening here finally.
One suggestion is to mark setups as more than one classification. There's plenty of cars where the same set could be used for a sprint and endurance, for example.
Sort of like old Westhill originally was, the start/finish positions aren't in line with the track markings. Some are pretty close, but some are a full car length away.
I have attached an image and spr to show RO2 as an example, but all 11 tracks are varying distances off.
Interesting. My monitors are both 1920x so I increased my right monitor to 1923 and it "fixed" it, but then it put one little bit (1-2 pixels) of the rendered view from my right monitor on my main one.
The only solution to that is to not use bezel correction, which isn't a great solution.
This imgur album shows the three possible settings I can achieve (I believe)
When you say steering help, do you mean smoothing out the inputs so they aren't so jerky, or what? I use Xbox360 controller as well, and maybe in FO8 or LX6 this would help, but maybe not...
Are you using XBCD drivers? I use those so I have split axis, unfortunately this confuses other games that do use XInput and don't have any way for "other" controllers. I had to do some really funky stuff to get my controller working on both LFS and Rocket League.
@Scawen, XInput support would be really really nice to make it so we don't have to jump through hoops to get controllers working correctly (throttle/brake split axis is really the only major issue, but it is quite major).
Well, I called some people by their first name when I knew it, so maybe that's what MikiD is talking about. For example I called sermilan "Milan" a few times, and Flame CZE by "Martin".
Haha, sorry about that. Doing the stream was a spur of the moment thing, so we didn't have time to figure out pronunciation of names we didn't know. We only decided to do it during qualifying.
Haha no, LFS and LFS Viewer are different, so one doesn't affect the other. I think it was just put in LFS Viewer so we could all rush and make skins for it.
It would be nice to get an update to LFS Viewer though, so it has the new shaders for better screenshots.
The way I look at it, is that this way gives us racers time to learn each new track as it comes out. Everyone who has upgraded to S3 is learning Rockingham together, rather than being overwhelmed by many new tracks/cars/combos all at the same time. I really like that I only have to "worry" about one thing right now.
It was a bit of a surprise for S3/Ro to just be out with no lead up or teasing though. Even when you did the revamp of Westhill you released some images and a video. Can we look forward to those again in the future?
