It's shorter - it's missing the right-most set of holes for the screws. SO i think it's somewhat of a redesign (or the other P5K are the same and it's only the Deluxe/Premium that are different :P)

Yeah, get a 45 nm CPU (E8200, E8400 if you can), forget the 'if i need more power i'll add another card' s**t since it's useless - by the time you'll need more power, it'll be hard to get a GFX that you have now, they will be too slow (SLI scales badly, really badly) and will use too much power. Having 2 HDs will be hard, if so, forget IDE optics - you'll have to buy SATA DVD drives. I'd loose the 80 gig HD since IDE is mostly slow on P35 - it's done via another chip and is not supported out fo the box via the chipset.

There's a new mobo out there, P5K PRO - very good value for money and Bit-Tech just put up a review of it. Seems it's a good performer and costs 80 pounds.

Get a P35 mobo. Why would you want SLI on a low end mobo? It's useless. better to buy a 9800GX2 then and have proper perfomance on a proper motherboard. P35 is THE thing for C2D. Well, actually P45 which is coming out soon so wait for that.

Prolly forgot tons of them but it will do for a while.

The 5 screws on the underside are 2,5 mm allen, they are successfully pulled out, same goes for the 3 phillips screws under the Porsche logo. Now what? I was told i have to take the wheel off the base. But it doesn't move.

EDIT: just yank it off, it goes. Wathc for the cable though. Now the 5 phillips screws.

The second one is useless, and it has been suggested, as Maggot said. And yes, give us more tracks! Give us an ex-soviet track, barely holding up, built on an old airfield, abandoned after the collapse of the USSR (though that would be impossible since they didn't have any money then).

It's obvious this is a QuadSLI solution for SLI or 8800 GTS SLI performance solution for single x16 slot motherboards. And rumours? How the hell could you hear rumours? The tests are out there, the numbers are known, both the performance and price ones. No rumours here, just pure, cold facts.

Well, at least my pedals woke up when i reactivated them by fanatec instructions. Guess what i'll be racing with from now on.

TriCF is cheaper. But it's pointless ATM since the drivers aren't out yet. And you need a CF compatible MOBO - X38/48 or something from AMD. It works on a P35/45 but it's a bit slower, which is a plus for CF; since it's not that much slower actually.

Oh well, i'm glad my 7900 GTO can hadle LFS, RBR and TDU.

Since the awranty is gone, i can basicly throw mine away. The pedals are dead for a month and it was said i will get a new revised unit. Will see, sent them an e-mail with the same contents.

EDIT: would have to buy a new set (and/or mount).

That's at 1280x1024. People who will buy a 9800 GX2 or have an 8800GTX SLI normaly have a 24'' or 30'' LCD.
