How does adjusting pedals/wheels/joystick's axis mean the same as advantage?

Adjusting the range or travel of anything does not automate a process?


FFS that just silly, one program allows you to fix axis's the other automates a procedure.

Pushing button A should =Button A, not Button A= Button A+invert+reinvert+milk the cows+polish my shoes+release clutch


Chalk and Cheese (which is produced by pressing Button A)

The fact remains that you cant make this "cheat" thingo work just using LFS alone,a third party program makes it happen.

It may not be a cheat as such but its definitely not kosher and i think everyone knows it,using anything apart from the original game/sim to gain advantage is wrong.Controllers excluded on the basis that they are coded for in LFS.

If it requires an external program then yes it smells bad, if you can do it within the confines of the LFS program then it has to be ok.

Personally i think its a cheat , it requires another external program to work.

Pure and simple, there's no grey area no matter how many pages of discussion there is...

No one needs to know your reasons and in reality probably no one cares, if brand "X" makes you happy then more power to you.

Now to be fair iRacing is pretty good straight out of the box, remember there at S1 or whatever it was before S1 so to compare LFS with 4-5 years of more development is not exactly apples and apples.

Far out i didnt want to get into iRacing vs LFS again, i just like fair comparisons i guess.

Hate to sound like an arsehole , but how difficult is it to do race car interiors?

Roll cage bars, slab of carbon fiber for the dash and a motec like display.

I dont know anything about coding and the like but to take so long for just interiors just seems incredible,whole sims have been made in less time thats not idle gossip its fact.

Yes i understand its a 2-3 man dev team, yes i understand i bought it as is. But seriously could you imagine that you have captured a market that people are crying out for more and not capitalizing on it?

Not to mention that within the ranks there are alot of talented people that can under the devs supervision add so much to LFS, personally there's no negatives in that idea..

Most of time its not an actual chip thats changed rather a replacment ecu. They change values in the programming and it can lead to some pretty ordinary results. But the legit guys that know whats what can do wonders.

I have had one of my cars done and it was a disaster, fuel economy was shot to bits the way the trans shifted was horrible and it actually went worse, in the end i got my old ecu replaced after alot of drama's.

If its sounds to good to be true it usually is, also the car manufacturers tend to know a little more about there own vehicles than "Tuners".

With out airbox, cats and exhaust changes i find what they quote hard to beleive.

That said i think we all know the car manufacturers build there cars midly tuned at best, so there may be small gains if any.

I,m not having a go at LH, i think he is a good thing for F1 they just need to get the spotlight off the poor guy and drop a few gears on the hype-o-meter .

I have three kids myself 5-8-16 and its bloody hard to find time for a quick race let alone code the sim itself so i understand the process..

But when i do grab a bit of me time i dont want to drive the same tired tracks and cars with a lot of the same faults that have been there year after year (year after year is a statement in itself)

LFS still smokes everything else but shit its tired and if i not off the mark alot of its user base are tired too.

Far out even an old dunger of a game like GTL looks and sounds better.

The GTR cockpits cant take that long can they?


Theres only so much work a few guys can do and i totally appreciate what they have created , and being a father i understand totally that time is hard to find.

Time to get some help , I for one will be more than happy to pay extra for a finished product.

I dont think people hate LH , they hate the ITV (ok its not just them) hype machine and totally biased commentating.

someone said that if the devs released a new S3, and I would be upset that I would pay another 30 pounds, well no I wouldnt I would have no issues about giving the guys some extra cash to keep it going, and im sure it would be worth it (S3)

and as i said australia has next to noone racing anymore, I have to race on UK, USA servers all the time with +200 pings, unless i wana drift then its a diff story.

as i said LFS is going on my top shelf of games, only the best of games go on the top shelf, and they can be brought down to be re visited especially if there is a patch.

LFS was there when i was bored, LFS was there when I was sad, LFS was there when I wanted to race, scawen, and victor were there when i had problems and corrected them instantly, so no im not ungratefull im extremly gratefull for the time we had, and the game was good. so dont call me that, because its not true at all

We have really good racing every monday night with the Oz Bee guys, MNR normally has fields of 40-50 guys on two servers.

Then theres the AAL league that runs monthly and LFSEA that runs as realistic as possible race meets every month.

So FFS dont say theres no racing to be had in Oz...

And on another note i can race the euro servers on a basic adsl plan with next to no warping or lag, your entitled to lick the sweat off GT5 and yes the dev process is like way way to long but please dont compare GT5 to any sim Rtractor included...
