Well, today I've just stumbled on a login form with a 16 max characters password limit, and few days ago on another one with a 20 char limit. Go figure.
After last 20th February hacking at Linux Mint forums, I am changing all my passwords to "strong" ones (using keepass), containing all sorts of characters/numbers/symbols/punctuation/etc.
After changing my GAME password just 5 minutes ago (website told me it was successfully changed), I went straight into LFS and couldn't obviously create/join a server.
So I tried to update my password in LFS, but it kept me saying that it doesn't match, and I'm sure it does (even if it's unreadable).
I then went to my account details and changed it again to a very stupid one, but i told me that it was too short, showing a reminder about its min length.
Can we have this textual info expanded so it eventually shows a max length (if any) and the characters allowed?
At this page https://www.lfs.net/replay-analysers
there's a download to "SMX meshes for RAF readers" but it's "updated for 0.6H", and Rockingham is missing.
I've just noticed that the Skins page doesn't show my uploaded skins.
It was working until maybe a month ago or so...maybe something got inadvertently messed up while working at the new Setup page?
As you can see the Blues Brothers skin shows on the preview but not on the car.
The other skin shows the same problem too.
Well, I think it might not help populate it very much.
If I want to join and see that for the next 60-50-40 minutes I won't be able to, I turn somewhere else and...
Which makes me think that in these cases it could be useful to have a "notification system" to get some sort of "ringbell" from the server, in the minutes that lead to a new race.
Say I get to your server and it is in mid-race.
I flag some "notify me of the next available race" field, and just sit doing other things (or clean the flat, make some coffee...) until I hear the beep-beep.
Maybe this should be asked Scawen (or is there already an add-on for that?).
I was playing with changing "Full-scene antialiasing" in Graphics screen, and everytime I click on one of the buttons, it changes color (as if it was pressed) but LFS freezes.
If I kill it and restart it, changes have taken place.
As silly as I may sound, I think LFS has just enough content.
I also think LFS is about having a pretty (the most?) realistic driving experience, with all the effort and "research" that comes with it. By this I mean that only with few cars and tracks you can really focus, learn and become a better driver - still a loooong way for me, I know
Today they offer a staggering 2.500+ cars and 638 tracks!
Ok, choice is freedom, I'm not an anti-content taliban, and I don't say GTL is a bad sim, but limiting such an infinite choice doesn't mean you don't have choice enough, IF what you really want to do is learning how to drive/race.
