That means you're fast enough !!
But if you block them on the raceline and are slower, they just drive into your car with no respect at all !!!
Anyway some of them do manage to brake and they avoid crashing, I think it depends on combo.
Final word: yes, they should be definitely smarter. I hope it is on DevTeam's wishlist.
I was also thinking of something like this (like in 1st post).
I'd love if LFS could also remember last used setup for each combo.
So when you enter (the first time) the garage on any combo you already have the last (used) setup selected.
I'd also like, when passing setups to each other, that they retain the original name they were sent with. When you click to save it, they're already named.
Hi all.
Does a replay viewer exist ? Like CMX viewer, but for replays ??
So it could be easier to watch replays here at work, where I obviously can't install LFS...
Hi.
I was thinking if it could ever be possible to assign a DFGT button to a function, a script, or whatever, in order to switch between 2 horizontal FOV presets, to widen the view in special cases like T1 after the start and so on...
I know I can turn my head (I have TrackIR) or press "view right" and "view left", but I usually crash on the side I'm not looking into...
Any creamy/seasoned cheese like gorgonzola with some fresh crispy salad, and lots of good old red wine...
Any boiled or grilled seafood, and lots of good icecold white wine (Falanghina, Greco di Tufo, Sancerre...)
It could be a good idea to make a sticky a the top of this thread/subforum with all the language translations in progress, to see which one is still missing, maybe with the % of work done...
Software is completely rewritten from scratch, and it really looks good. Tracking seems smoother even with TrackIR4.
Anyway, for TIR4 happy users like me, it can be hard to justify the upgrade and the new $$$ to invest...
Nonetheless, my TIR4 has been a super-good investment, and I can only reccomend it !!
Of course, you don't turn your head around while driving a car like you do when flying or dogfighting, but as already stated, it ADDS a lot anyway.
Go for it if you can afford one.
Or even worse, I often sit in the pit and don't remember which track configuration I'm on, (in order to choose the correct setup).
Many times, if not always, I query LFSWorld for my PB, so I get the answer with the track's ID, then get back in the garage.
I think this is mostly due to the different "codenames" ("BL1" for setups, and "BlackWood GP" on server list).
Ok, we all know Blackwood, but when I'm on the other tracks (Fern Bay, South City...), I just don't know if, for example, Fern Bay Green is FE1, 2, 3 or whatever...
Maybe another area to be improved with a clever little idea ???
Hi gents.
Even if I have the feeling that TrackIR is (mistakenly) not very common/popular/vital here, as it is in Flight simming, here's just a heads up to the new TrackIR 5. http://www.naturalpoint.com/trackir/
I have a TrackIR 4 (I also fly) and I must say I love it in LFS, it adds to the immersion factor big time.
After many more laps in singleplayer against AI drivers (don't laugh!) I started to understand how to correctly handle RAC.
Many more Kms are required, anyway I came to this thread's conclusions by myself (Road going setup, plus softer transitions, softer brakings, smoother accelerations, in fact nearly everything with it must be smooth), which makes me think I'm on the right way, even if I'll never be a patented RAC driver.
Ok, I'm not a racer, I'm not a drifter, nor do I have any experience of any real "sports car"...Basically I just drive my Meriva from home to work and back again, and that's it.
Anyway I've been trying the RAC a few times, and I wonder: does such a slippy car REALLY exist ?? Does it really handle that way in RL ??
It is like ice-skating! I think it's the most difficult LFS car.
I mean, how is one supposed to drive that beast ??
