When I had my crashes, I had just started Seven, then LFS (or maybe viceversa), connected them (ok), and then joined a server (Fox-Junkies).
While watching the first cars, and BEFORE doing anything else, Seven crashed for the first time.
Then I reloaded it, connected it, still spectating, and it crashed again...
I have all the .NET installed, since #1.
(PS: I've just noted that on Windows Update there were quite a few .NET related updates few minutes ago...)
Good!!
I also had several crashes, yesterday while spectating at least three or four times, than while driving also one or two.....then I stopped loading it, and raced instead!
Yes you can, but whenever you change car, "default" set is chosen.
And even if you sort them by date, that doesn't mean you get the right one at the top (if you didn't edit it).
Anyway, even if it's a simple implementation, sure it's not a top priority fix for Scawen.
Hi Scawen.
While you're at it, would you mind taking into consideration (or just add it in your to-do list) my suggestion to save the last used setup for each combo ?
So every time you go back to a specific combo, you find it already selected ??
I tried to find my post (I'm quite sure I already asked this) but couldn't find it...
Thanks.
Ok, ok.....now....let's all take a breath, relax, and try to keep this thread clean and nice for the Seven LFS Telemetry bug reporting, new releases, and such.
Scipy has cleared his point of view on the matter...
I don't know what all these options mean, but here they are...
I also attach the help screen from VLFSD.
This is the working cfg.txt for VLFSD:
OutSim Mode 0
OutSim Delay 1
OutSim IP 0.0.0.0
OutSim Port 0
OutSim ID 0 OutGauge Mode 2
OutGauge Delay 1
OutGauge IP 127.0.0.1
OutGauge Port 4000
OutGauge ID 0
And this is the working cfg.txt for Seven Telemetry:
OutSim Mode 0
OutSim Delay 100
OutSim IP 127.0.0.1
OutSim Port 30000
OutSim ID 0 OutGauge Mode 0
OutGauge Delay 5
OutGauge IP 127.0.0.1
OutGauge Port 30000
OutGauge ID 0
I'm making some tests, and VLFSD does not work with OutGauge Mode 0.
Anyway, as far as Seven configuration goes, I have few more questions:
I have a /insim 38373 line in the autoexec.lfs file and Seven is configured on the same port too.
As you can see, the port in the cfg.txt is not 38373 but OutSim Port 30000 and OutGauge Port 30000.
I thought they had to be the same, but they are not !?!?!?!?
Second: Is resolution fixed at 800x600?
Third: fonts are generally quite small...Could you make them a bit more readable, maybe squeezing a bit the turbo needle, or rearranging a bit here and there the interface to save some space ??
Maybe you could get rid of all those "BL" (Best Lap) strings next to pilots names...
BUG: "Headlights" doesn't light up (I was on RAC).
Ok downloaded!
But now I really need an "Insim for dummies" guide!!
I run it on a second monitor, directly connected to my pc.
I get my name and my 1st lap time, but nothing else.
Ok I'll re-read all the thread from start, hope to find more info there...
Edit1: got it working !! Wow!!
Edit2: screwed up VLFSD configuration ;-)
Does some Insim expert know/understand if the two apps (VLFSD and Seven Telemetry) are compatible, with regard to cfg.txt ?? I guess not. Maybe it's time to change my sig!
