Awesome solo. I have that concert on DVD and that song is amazing live. I hope to be able to play that one someday!
Talking about playing solo's live I played Joe Satriani's "Surfing With The Alien" in a pub last year while meeting some folks from a music forum. Here's the vid, its bad sound quality but oh well:
1. R. Barrichello Brawn GP BGP 001 1:18.398
2. F. F Alonso Renault Renault R29 R 29 1:19.334 +0.936
3. L. Hamilton McLaren McLaren MP4-24 1:19.629 +1,231
4. N. Rosberg Williams Williams FW31 1:19.783 +1.385
They would all be pretty similar if Barrichello wasn't able to improve upon his fastest time yesterday. But he did, by nearly 1 second
Here is my current desktop in Windows 7. After a few weeks of use its working like a charm. I made a dual-boot between XP and W7 but I think I'm regretting it now - I simply have no reason to use XP any more.
I'm thinking of getting something like this in the near future:
I have a foamy aerobatic but it just gets blown about too much by the wind. Not great at 3D flying either (or maybe that's just me )
I also have a 12 scale nitro car in the garage from years back. Had some problems with the engine and just gave it up. Gotta either fix it someday or pass it on to someone else.
I listen to Jazz, Electronic, Rock, Classical, Metal, Ambient, Drone and any genres in-between. I've played numerous instruments since about the age of 7 and studied A-Level music when everyone else was doing their GCSE's.
And Extreme Metal is music , you may not like it, but plenty of other people do
Akercocke
Amon Amarth
Arch Enemy
Bloodbath
Dark Tranquillity
Death
Enslaved
Napalm Death
Morbid Angel
Opeth
Strapping Young Lad
You almost have to get used to this kind of music before you can enjoy it. If anyone is going to try I recommend Opeth. 50/50 clean/harsh vocals and brilliantly composed music, its what got me started.
I have tried Aerofly, Realflight, Reflex and Phoenix. I fly aerofly also, just prefer the graphics/clarity of Reflex. Realflight was too hard/unstable, Phoenix probably the best (but my cable broke), and Reflex a nice balence and I can still see the heli when I fly far away. But yeah like you say it doesn't matter it its not 100% realistic, its just getting a feel of how you need to move the sticks.
Also yeah I can do tick-tocks, inverted a few inches off the ground and piro-flips on the sim, I think I'll try inverted in RL once I can fly inverted fast forward flight and circuits in all orientations on the sim.
I've never been a violent person, but if I saw that guy on the street I'd find it hard to just walk by...
I think he already has a large dose of Karma heading towards him though, all his personal details are out and there are a huge amount of people on 4Chan and SA that want to bring him down.
Internet Vigilantism isn't the best way to handle things like this, but I can't say I pity the guy.
Cool! I looked at the 18-200mm too, but decided to sacrifice convenience for price. T-Rex is my first outdoor heli yeah. Basically I thought they were too expensive and hard to fly, but after buying a good simulator (Reflex XTR, invaluable for learning), I took the plunge, and not regretted it one bit
Not had the balls to fly upside down yet, I think I'll be trying soon though
I have 20mb virgin media, and although they are not perfect, its so much better than the other ISP's I have tried. They seemed to have relaxed their throttling as well.
So yeah I'd say they are the best we British can get atm.
About a week ago I brought a Nikon D70s off ebay for some stupidly cheap price. Its in perfect condition/working order and came with a 28-80mm lens. Just been playing with the various modes and settings so far.
I've only used compact cameras before so I'm a bit of a noob regarding lenses but I will probably want to buy a 200 or 300mm lens some time soon or anything with a good zoom. Can anyone point me towards a good one for a beginner?
Chuffed with it so far, its nice to be able to press the shutter button and instantly take the picture, rather than the huge delay a compact digital camera can have.
I think a lot of recent games are overrated tbh. Any game where the developer thinks graphics and technical details are the most important part of a game. Far Cry 2 sticks out as being that game.
I have honestly played free 2d games that I have enjoyed more.
Ahahaha that was hilarious, Crazy Train was just too funny! I don't know if M$ intended this as cheap entertainment, but that's how I'll interpret it!! There is literally no way I can take this songsmith thing seriously, which I'm glad
Is this what lerts meant by computers making music instead of people?
I have a jailbroken touch and I've got loads of Genesis, SNES and NES games on it, which are fun to play. I wouldn't have thought it was powerful enough to play PSX games? They take up too much space for me anyway.
If you can do it, you may as well. Gives you loads of new things to tweak
I know this is probably beyond the level of alcoholism we're talking about here, but stopping an alcohol addiction cold turkey is not healthy at all:
"Alcohol's primary effect is the increase in stimulation of the GABAA receptor, promoting central nervous system depression. With repeated heavy consumption of alcohol, these receptors are desensitized and reduced in number, resulting in tolerance and physical dependence. Thus when alcohol is stopped, especially abruptly, the person's nervous system suffers from uncontrolled synapse firing. This can result in symptoms that include anxiety, life threatening seizures, delirium tremens and hallucinations, shakes and possible heart failure."
So I'd say its probably best to reduce consumption for a few weeks before stopping altogether.
