Quote from senn :UNKLE - The Piano Echoes
It's pretty cliche, from the album "End titles....Stories for film"
Which was a colleciton of unreleased movie type background music, that they decided to release. IIRC it was used on the Top Gear Vietnam episode.

Radiohead are also good. Very good.

Thank you. I mean it, thank you for showing me this song. I've been looking for songs like these but I never knew UNLKE had them.

I think this song emulates the feeling of searching for something (or yourself) and to a lesser degree the struggle of finding that something (especially when the song begins to reach the climax). It's by UNKLE.

I remember using WR sets for the Formula BMW that were very oversteery, especially during corner exits. As a counter-measure, I entered the corners faster and earlier, and I noticed that my oversteer issue was gone because I managed to understeer first. Then the oversteer compensated for the understeer I initiated. I guess I did this understeer technique but ever since I got the DFP, I never got the courage to use that technique.

Will you post the skies that you created the reflections with to match the reflections?
And maybe an HD video demonstrating that motion effect with the reflections?

Yeah, you can create a partition in the Windows 7 installation. It's much better than creating one in Vista because I also had trouble creating one. Vista only let me shrink 10 or so GB at a time so I had to shrink over and over to make one large space for partitioning. If it only allows 6 GB still, maybe you should try defragmenting?

Here is part one to a really great guide I found online. The guy goes through every step with really nice screenshots. He even tells you how to create a partition.
http://www.techtalkz.com/windo ... ation-guide-tutorial.html

Windows 7 installs very nicely as long as you don't have incompatible hardware. For example, I couldn't complete the Windows 7 installation and I got frustrated when it did the same thing no matter how many times I reformated my partition, made new disks, etc. When I unplugged my HDTV from my graphics card and left my smaller pc monitor hooked in, the installation completed with no problems. Then I was able to get the newest graphics drivers and I can use my HDTV.

Anyways, I'd still back up all my data or the most important bits of it somewhere just in case.

I didn't know the barriers could look so real! The car also stands out a lot too.

The backgrounds you add in the reflections make it look much more convincing. The reflections actually makes the wheels look almost like chrome. And the car looked like it just got dipped in lacquer (its a good thing.) I love the work but sadly, it looks out of place compared to the rest of LFS.

P.S. I wonder how it looks with a realistic level of car shine?

^^ Maybe that's why the toothpaste tasted funny.
Quote :Today I just got my car fixed from an accident and I drove to a party in a bad thunderstorm. when the power went out everyone decided to watch the Storm from the front windows. Someone mentioned how it would be funny if the tree fell on my car with everyone watching. 20 seconds later it did. FML

Lol funnycat, do not despair!

Everyone usually calls me Henry. I play Baroque, Romantic, Classical, Contemporary, Jazz, and Rock. I've played piano for roughly 12 years and guitar for a few months on and off. I am in Certificate of Merit and currently at Level 10 piano in it (and I'll have to stay there until the end of high school). I've been to a few honors recitals and got nominated for convention once. I have won two Baroque festivals and got honorary mention once. I have a Yamaha upright piano at home and a Fender Squier Strat from my friend with a crappy Fender amp. I don't have any good recording hardware but I use Audacity to record things. I also use Guitar Pro to write music. I rarely have enough time to practice both the guitar and piano. My sight reading ability is pretty abysmal. I hate to play the piano but love it when I have a very good sounding piece to play (usually songs by Japanese composers or Chopin).

If the diesel engine runs out of fuel, air gets into the system and you must bleed it out, otherwise the engine won't start because all that is being injected is air.

It doesn't work like a regular gasoline engine where you can inject the fuel with the air, compress it and ingite it with the spark plug. Instead you have to compress the air and raise its temperature and its pressure. Then fuel is added after the temperature is raised and ignites from the higher temperature, not from the spark plug (a diesel engine would not have any).

Now this is the part I'm unsure about. It's more like an educated guess. Assuming that both cars have air in their system, I think with modern computers a regular gasoline car would spray air until it gets some fuel out in an attempt to get the right air-fuel mixture. It will probably be enough to get the air out of the system and get the car starting quickly. With a diesel, I think the fuel gets injected at the moment the temperature is high enough for the diesel fuel to burn. It should not inject much air (from the fuel lines) because it does not need a lot of power, especially when starting and bringing the engine to idle. Now the diesel takes forever to start because the air is not coming out fast enough for the fuel to go in. Diesels usually run very lean until more power is needed and that's when the air-fuel ratio gets close to stoichiometric (ideal ratio for maximum power and burn). If it ran richer, then you would get visual soot and smoke and that's not good.

Windows 7 works wonders for me. SO much better, especially in LFS. For some reason, I can record 30 FPS now at 1x speed in W7 but in Vista, it goes down to 15.

It's still not as fast as RL but it can probably go faster with a few tweaks to the settings and a couple broken fingers.

Quote from speed1 :I just spent about half an hour trying to figure out what song is in this video. I've dont just about eveything in my power to find out what it is. I'd just like to know if anyone knows what it is. Thanks

http://www.pinkbike.com/video/19284/

Found it... I think
Artist: Black Mask
Song: Diabolical Interlude
Album: Facade Dreadnaught

Must be a new artist or something because I can barely find anything about them.
Also, the video maker included clips of Howard Bloom's interview in Disinformation and shouldn't be part of the song.

Edit: Nevermind. The preview in Rhapsody has that Howard Bloom clip. I thought that it wouldn't have the clip because I couldn't find the song using lyrics.

Computer Maintenance:
Smart Defrag - Defragments and optimizes your HDD by organizing files by how often you access them. Also auto-defrags and schedules defrags.

Ccleaner - Thorough disk cleanup, registry cleanup, and software uninstaller.

Audio-video software:
Cole2k Codec Packs - A large codec pack that lets me play almost everything, encode into other things, etc. Ffdshow is my favorite because it allows me to play almost everything and does frame capturing for whatever I play in any media player that uses ffdshow.

Guitar Pro - Score-writing software and in my opinion, the best one. Cousin's gift to me. Cost = $60. A free alternative is Tux Guitar.

Audacity - One of the most powerful recording software I've laid my mouse on, considering that it's free.

Games:
America's Army - A "simulation" of what it is like to be in the US Army. Made by the US Army, for the US Army and public, and it's free. I'm currently signing up for the Version 3 beta.

Counter-strike - If America's Army is LFS, then Counter-strike is NFS. Fast, easy-ish, fun, and popular.

So? Those are FXO rims. He's trying to get the tire that the VW uses to look like the actual thing. Remember, tire treads and sidewalls can be shared by any car that uses the type of tire it was made on.

Well, to have something cool about to happen not happen does bum people out. Lots of us are not whining, we're just a little bummed that's all. It'll go away once the Scirocco comes. A little humor doesn't hurt, just be careful about when to insert humor. Again sorry for sounding harsh.
