Yeah confirming link is dead. Could we also just have a link for the TSview proggy, i know it can be disabled, but i'd rather not install the other stuff to begin with.
Corsair 4gig (2x2gig sticks) pc6400C5 - $79AUD.
Thats from a wholesaler in my area, convert that to your local currency and should be about right. i'd always go the 800mhz over the 667. as long as your mobo can handle it (must be fairly old if its using 667/800, like mine is)
i have race07/GTR Evo, not bad games just sucks most of the online servers are passworded, and usually empty. Probably the only reason i don't play it more
Dislikes - Bills, that i'm so lazy i haven't started on the parts pig, that i have to go back to work again :P That the patch isn't out (i think we're all in that boat)
Credit cards also work. It automatically converts from your currency to euro (or pounds i can't remember wha they charge in) But i'm in australia so i'm assuming it can handle NZ $
sounds nothing like a 4a-ge.....sounds more like a subaru
Here's my attempt, i was aiming for the "raspy" sound the 4a-ge has with an almost open exhaust, but the idle still sounds too big (mainly being as the XRT has a 2L motor) But i think it sounds closer. See what you think..
2nd file basically has the LX4's settings copied into the XRT file, with a couple minor tweaks. I think it has a better off throttle sound than the first, but the XRT doesn't really rev as high as a proper 4A, so it won't scream like they do.
(original 4A-GE "Bluetop" rev limits @ 7600rpm in standard form, the later version of the 4A's , the 20v "blacktop" limits at 8200rpm)
Well it can be quite hard, altho i have found adjusting your FOV (field of view) can help a little with this. But the perception of speed (IMHO) is also kinda related to perception of danger. At the end of the day you know in the back of your mind you're sitting at a desk, so the perception of danger is low. But in a real car at 100kmh, you're fairly focussed, being as you know a mistake could kill you. So i don't know if it could be improved, i don't usually look at my speedo too much anymore, i just try judge corners etc by feel
Yeah LFS has to rely a bit more on the sound of skidding tyres, because you don't get that "seat of your pants" feeling you do when driving a real car, being as there are no G forces reacting on your body. It works pretty well tho
no it would most likely understeer. for it to flip, you'd need to either get the rims to dig into the tarmac (causing a tripping effect) or to get the car swinging left and right quickly for a pendulum style effect to get the weight to move quick enough. But it can be done, its just harder with low cars than it is with 4wds. Don't be fooled by those "arab drifter" videos, what they are doing is damn dangerous with a family style car or 4wd.
see the way he pendulums the weight, but at a guess he's doing maybe 40-60kmh, and it still goes over
Also the XFR is renowned for wanting to flip on the low kerbs when cornering hard, it used to be worse, but has been slightly improved with the change in CoG
UNKLE - The Piano Echoes
It's pretty cliche, from the album "End titles....Stories for film"
Which was a colleciton of unreleased movie type background music, that they decided to release. IIRC it was used on the Top Gear Vietnam episode.
just off to the right upper of centre, i cbf opening paint to circle it, but theres 3 crosses in a row, i assume that is what you're referring to....no idea why its funny tho :/
thats something that is missing nowadays, personal responsibility. If you stand right next to a race track/road where a race is taking place, odds are you might get hit. It's not the drivers, or the sports fault.
and it was only one race where spectators were killed....rally of portugal IIRC, when an RS200 left the road?
quoted from Wikipedia - Thirty-one people were injured and three were killed.
don't get me wrong rally drivers are still the best in the world but....its not fun to watch anymore IMHO.....too sanitized etc, but like i said thats just IMHO. Have you watched much Group B btw? its pretty spectacular even on the straights
