The reason you can't use g25/27 etc on the 360 is due to the way the 360 does FFB. IIRC PC's can do both kinds (forget the names) but it's essentially Computer based FFB, or Controller based FFB. IIRC, the 360 uses controller based FFB, whereas the g25/27 use computer based.

It's something along these lines, i was reading up to see if i could use the g25 with the 360, sadly i cannot. There isn't even an addon/inline control system. So i think you're stuck with either the fanatec(i THINK these work with the 360?) or MS wheel.

i've seen more dangerous things, 20 inch rims on a standard road car with stock brakes, cut springs (angle grinder) bald tyres, Clutch centre welded to the outer of another clutch.

As for pedestrian safety, if you don't hear that loud bastard coming (yes you, the retard who walks across roads with his MP3 player turned up flat out) then you deserve to get taken out. The pop up lights won't do you any favours either

However i was wondering the same thing about the exhaust gases melting the windscreen/trim. The bonnet has apparently been painted in some sort of heat resistant paint (good for 1200F i think he said) but again, time will tell i spose. Either way it should be amusing. I wonder if it gets hot inside the cab too..

Nah if you have something thats really light with some power mods it generally tells you it won't be competitive, if it has a lowish PI for that race series. Even with the AI on hard, you can still beat them by a good few car lengths, if you have the right setup, even if the PI is a bit down.
Helps if the car is suited to that kinda track tho

he is planning to drive it shortly, this video is just for those of us who have been waiting for him to finish the project. lol @ flaming the guy for being antisocial. Far out at least he's doing something constructive, instead of boozing/drugging it up like so many people. As for the noise, well it looks like early evening/afternoon, and he ran it for all of a minute? Big whoop. Lawnmowers etc are just as loud with an old muffler. He's not running it at 2am. Same with the horns, he either has them up in the hills, or next to a huge big loud ship anyway.

unfortunately its part of the tradeoff of the 360's inability to run a proper FFB wheel like the g25/27 etc. just go into the corners a bit slower, and that generally helps

yeah you don't physically press the pedal itself to assign it. You got the first bit right, hitting the Throttle button etc, but u need to click the actual slider/axis button on the right hand side, with the axis bar display next to it.

master server is up, sure it isn't something to do with the new way LFS does its server search thingy (udp or whatever it is?)

Holy epic thread bump! and yeah manually shifting an auto will destroy it eventually (wears the bands out iirc, and it begins to slip)

So you're clicking (for example) Throttle in LFS, then clicking (going off mine) Slider 0 (with the axis movement bar next to it) and it isn't assigning it? Make sure your pedals are not set to "Report combined" in Logitech profiler. other than that, you need to be a bit more clear as to the exact steps you're using, so i can try nut it out for you.

so it's running an F1 engine (by the sound of it?) how is that legal in GT500...

Yaris with race slicks, weight reduction, and some basic engine mods. Not much point in doing much else to it.

I usually work on making the car light, slicks, suspension before i do anything else. quickest way to shave time off.
