It's funny to drive with the wind. Prety challenging due to the change of the brake points. On bl1 I went up to 200km/h with the little xfg thanks to the wind. The first lap looked like the video, evrybody goes off road
There is something that make me 'laugth' in a way about the price of the week3 LX Month challenge. It's that this week you can win a wonderfull wheel, wich evrybody would kill to have. But we all knows that's a wheel owner who will win this wheel. Never a mouse owner would be able to win it Even if there is some great mouse racers.
I just wanted to notice that even if i know that there is nothing to do but work hard to try to demontrate that i'm wrong, at least i hope
Note to support my words: Week1, 1st mouse driver: 49th place, Week 2: 66th place ... It's gonna be hard
What a carnage!
Sadly, it's happening frequently in fact but not as much cars are involved.
In the other hand you can have realy realy realy good race, close but without contact. Look at this .mpr: 5 laps of close combat between me and 4|R KaZel.
Hello,
It's realy strange. I was on we int, first lap, 3rd place. On T1 the car suddently turned to left without i touched anybody. Realy strange. It may be due to the lag but i didn't had a high ping.
ASM is only used to enhance the simplicity and the volocity of particuliar part of a program. Like in "real time" programming, when you need to put deadline you'll may be requiered to speed up some part of an application and sometimes there is no other way to do but by deassembly your program and modify it by hand. I had to do like that with one of my program. Also needed to program a kernel.
>> Edit: was already said, i didn't understanded.
And learning ASM may be quiet usefull to fully understand the world of programation.
One thing that we must not forget is that every programation laguage goes from High level programation language to ASM to binary (if i'm not wrong, offcourse ).
For AA and AF you can use the nvidia control panel (if you have an nvidia). It's how i do to enable AA & AF in LFS. For the size, you can change the resolution up to your monitor's size.
It's not because you made the car that it will be in the game. Look at all the other model made by the community (RB4 GTR, RA GTR, ...). I think it's just a waste of time.
And adding oval track won't appent too. At least not for now. And it's a good thing.
I like the lx's for this behavior, it's quiet like the Rac. A real challenge to drive but a gtr version of the lx or rac (wich have been discussed a lot) can be also fun to drive. It's not because you add a big wing on the back of the car that it would be easier to drive. Look at the fzr, this car also love to loose grip on the rear wheels. Anyway, there is only one way to know: waiting for the dev to make it
Pro-Kit are realy good, complete, and hiquality. If you want quality, you don't look at time spent. 5minutes to open the document, 2 hours to make a good skin.
There is not only gimp and photoshop. There is also Paint .NET wich is a good tool, quick, well programmed and also free. Nice to begin in the world of graphic arts
I don't understand why you all want a new DirectX support. It will take ages to implement it. This time will be more usefull spent in physic improvement, dual core exploitation, aerodynamic modelisation and so on.
Scawen already told it.
If you want a nice looking in lfs there is a solution.
Download the hires pack from Destroem or Electrik Kar . Change some dds and use hires textures for cars. Then turn on Antialiaising and Anisotropic filter and that's it. LFS will look so much nicer without dropping too much fps. So the fun and smoothness of the online game will not suffer.
In every game they made choises. A nice looking render engine or an acurate physique behavior. I'd rather prefere that lfs go on on the actual choice they made wich is not the eye-candy's one. We already have so many gooood looking games like Dirt (nice looking, poor driving), NFS (nice looking, realy realy poor driving), ...
To convince you a little bit more, try to find the old LFS, before the new rendering engine. You'll see that they were major improvements already done.
An finaly, take some screen's of each game and compare them together. Wich look the more realistic? Is it NFS? Don't think so. Dirt? Lol, you're joking.
Hello all,
I post some suits too but THERE ARE NOT MINE !! I think they've all been done by Tonix. I thougth it would be a shame for this topic to miss these big pieces of art. I use them ingame and the render is quiet exellent. These suits should be the default one's in lfs.
