i can't even drive one of these yet but it's just an exercise in pinstriping, really. go pinstripes! it's a rear view because the scaling solution i figured out came back with the nosecone in lo-res for some reason. adjusted it, had another try - it was the right scale, wrong colour, and the pinstripes were thicker righto.
you should just google shark images, there's got to be something out there
you might get inspired and come up with something not-quite-what-you-had-in-mind, but cool nonetheless.
Correction - the other thread has the interceptor that the bronzes use, the black beast is the car that Max uses when he goes 'mad' nearer the end of the movie.
Haven't seen one of these yet - pity it wont have the supercharger in it
Here's today's effort - a ficticious racing team with some experimental wrap-around graphics (just the pods and vents really - it's a lot harder than I thought it would be...).
I'm gonna put some logos on it, but so far I've hated how they break up the graphics.
I'm always open to suggestions though - *trying to think of companies that use purple and gold...
I had another crack at it after some sleep, and yeah, I'm pretty happy with it now. Made more use of the interesting layered effect that featured mostly in the rear of the last version, and connected the bodywork with the circuitry to give it a more cohesive look.
It's got a really nice translucent feel, as though the body's made from clear perspex! Of course, that's what I set out to do... *cough cough
edit - Thanks Roadrash, but I wouldn't want to get in trouble when I'm soo close to getting a license. Just waiting for the bank to send out my new card!
