Racer Name: SketchyRollin564 (as of now)
Number: um.... 564?
Miles Driven: im not sure how to find this out
Favourite Car: IRL? Pretty much all nissans. In LFS? probably the RB4 or the XRT (im only s1)
Real Name: Anthony S.
Still taking any new members? S14 has raced with me on STCC a couple times, but the last tiem i raced with him, it was 2 AM and i couldnt even stay on the road, so i ended up just spectating and talking for about half an hour.
Ill try to race him when im wide awake tonight if possible, and ill see how that goes.
Well, im already saving for a car (im 14, but i want to be able to get my car as soon as, or if not before i turn 16), but im gunna cut some of that off and get a G25.
I love my DFP, and the sequential is fine, but i just want that clutch pedal and gated 6 speed shifter sooooo bad. You could do real clutch kicks, you could realisticly heal toe, and plus, its just so much more fun.
I think the mountain pass would be easyer to make than Nuburgring.
With a mountain pass track, theres no need for permission, as long as you make your own. Sure, you have to think of your own scenery and design, but didnt they do that for all the other tracks in LFS?
Anyways, like i quoted my self already 3 times. The idea of a "Drift" track is retarded. Thats like me asking if they can make a racetrack for front wheel drive cars. Stupid? Yes.
Thats the liscence i have, and when i tryed to get a little bar at the bottom, it also gave me the green one that says league spectator, just like yours. I think you have to be bronze or higher, i guess?
My favorite car track combo (im S1 only) is the XRT at Fern Bay Black.
I used to hate the FXR (if thats the name of the FF you start with), but the STCC has grown it on me, a little bit. I also used to never like the LX's, but after driving them, i realized how much of a blast they are. Especialy the LX6.
Funny story about the LX6, my friend (not a car freak, like i am) came over today, and i let him try LFS. I started him off with the FXR (or whatever the little understeer monster is called), and he could barley drive it. He though it was really impossible to controll, but he atleast has SOME sim driving experience, because hes played GT4 with the DFP at my house a couple times.
He thought it was really hard to control, so i said. Here, ill give you an easyer car. I stuck him with the LX6, and sat back and enjoyed the show
You are NOT allowed to pass. One car starts off on lead, the other car chase. If the car in front can ditch the car behind by the marked finish, then he wins.
However, if the guy in front can not shake the guy behind him off, and the guy behind can ride his ass the whole time, then the guy behind wins.
Anyways, i have a new obsession for mountian roads. They just look so fun to drive.
1. Nope, like sombody said, more weight = more grip, to a certain extent. What causes the understeer, is hitting the brakes too hard, or too quick, thus LOCKING the wheels, creating understeer.
2. Too much roll doesnt really cause understeer (depending on car), but the stiffer suspension is just quicker reaction. Stiffer suspension in the rear, and less body roll in the rear (especialy on RWD cars), is what causes oversteer. Oversteer is when the rear wheels loose grip before the front wheels. Understeer is when the front wheels loose grip before the rears. What happens when a wheel is spinning? Your not gripping. I hope this makes sence.
3. What causes the overster is just too much power to the rear wheels, at too quick of a time. The trick with RWDs, for grip, is to be smooth. Dont SLAM on the gas, and dont just throw the steering wheel in one direction as quick as you can. This doesnt mean you have to be slow, but you gotta be smooth with it. Kinda like trying to draw a good circle with a pencil. you dont have to go super slow, you just gotta be smooth, and not make sudden movements.
Anyways, i hope this helped some, and made sence. Im not the best at explaining things.
