I used to enjoy doing both, and therefore don't mind either type of person... unless they are a die-hard fanatic about what they do, and insist that everything else is a waste of time. I believe that's what you see between the two types. You have some drifters that believe the only thing worth doing in LFS is drifting, and they clash with those that feel that LFS should only be used strictly for racing.

But what do I know, I'm just a racer now

Seeing as some servers will kick you for that word alone, I wouldn't recommend using it.

I got one of these from my FPS days. The software lets you assign macros to the keys, so I put my Ctrl+Key function in LFS then assign the macro to one of the keys on here. It's nice cause I can leave this sitting next to my wheel so I don't have to reach for the Ctrl and another key, kinda like buttons on a dashboard... It's called the Nostromo n52 and runs for about $25 USD

I personally like to stick to the inside of T1. Be sure to hold your line, no matter how much you have to brake. Hug the curb if you have to.

Mind you, I do this on packed servers. Reason being, it seems easier to recover from being slammed in the arse from behind while on the inside of a corner, than the outside. The outside of most turns are where the gravel pits are, and no one likes the gravel

The biggest problem you'll encounter though is people not seeing you, since it seems that about .01% of the general public actually assigns 'look' buttons to their wheel, but at least you wont be in the gravel...

In LFS, you'll find reputations tend to stick around much longer than the 'average internet hole in the ground'

"Beta" is usually the stage in development of software, just before the 'final' version is complete. Mind you, 'final' does not mean complete in most cases, that is why you see new versions of non-beta software all the time. Beta is still to be considered a test stage though, where everything following the beta isn't.

As for 5 year olds... seems a lot of parents take them to rated R movies here in the states. Heck, I've heard kids around 5-6 singing some lyrics to some song, something about suicide, with their parents next to them not saying anything...

Plenty of people do this, so you should be fine as well. It's just best not to have links to 'adult' sites or skins with adult content in them. Just use your best judgment, would your grandmother be ashamed of it? If so, don't do it
