that was always the deal, there are way more drift videos than race videos... it wasn't an issue of "Every drift video is exactly like every other drift video" back in the days, however
well let's be honest, every game that's PS3 exclusive, and is optimised for PS3's 7 SPEs, and for PS3 hardware in general... meaning the graphics are going to be great. But in any multi platform project, the PS3 is the one who gets the awful port and awful picture. See GTA4 graphics for PS3 for example Im fairly sure that console crysis 2 will not hold a candle to PC version
but they CAN carry those RPG's to shoot at infantry and armor. War doesn't work like "if this guy cant kill me, but can kill others, I'm just going to go somewhere else".
you're such a constant disappointment. When I've asked you to drive for H2H series, you didn't spin out once! All you did was drive insanely fast at a steady pace... I should have asked this guy to spin out for me!
Quad 2.83 / 4 GB ram / XFX 295 GTX here... You can start arguing now
I just prefer not to post my full PC specs in my sig or tell in each post that I've spent money on PC hardware... you know... to keep me from looking even more of a twat than I already am
well, AFAIK, they WON'T make a new crysis on the old engine, so yeah, that hope is out of the window, and secondly, when making game for PC and consoles - make sure to optimise (I.E: Make unbelievably ugly just to run) it for consoles separately...
You're one of those positive thinking people who might look at a jet fighter and say "well maybe we won't need a pilot's license to fly one" It's CRYSIS! It will be the dominatrix of gaming systems, whipping, and torturing...
If you're going to use Dubstep, then at least make sure you can edit a video. This video can be dubbed to Mozart's Requiem in D minor : Lacrimosa Dies Illa, and it would fit the video just as much. Dubstep is music seriously loaded with sound effects, and requires video to be loaded with properly used, and synced effects and editing. Yours is quite a lot less than average... not to mention Emerald's legal history
What I meant was "each soldier choses to serve in the army on his own free will, each soldier is sent to war with him having no choice"
In a war zone - yes.
And by stopping by 7 dead bodies and one wounded guy, with the area surrounded with high caliber bullet holes, he should have realised that "somebody wants this guy dead still, and I'm bringing my children into the fight I don't belong to"
1. Colt is a tool to kill with, a firearm. Soldier is the weapon. Politician is the killer.
Ultimately, US soldiers don't go to war on their own free will ("f**k it, I'm bored, lets go to war! WOOO YEAH! WAR!!!"), they're sent into war by their government, and every death in war is on politician's hands
2. There is an American ground unit on site, and there are armed Arabs running into the building. There seems to be perfect set up for a firefight. You come close and get shot, you're the one who's responsible for your own death.
I understand your pacifist revolt, but you just don't get how war works I think.
Actually, I can perfectly understand the American pilot and gunman (or is it the same person). When a lot of your fellow soldiers die daily due to enemies popping up with RPG's and AK47's, you wouldn't take a risk of "what if it's not a weapon he's carrying". More than that, I know that in that same situation, I would open fire without a doubt, simply because if it turned out to be an armed squad, and some squad was KIA by them, their deaths would be on me.
Also, don't hate the soldier, hate the politician. Politician is the killer, soldier is a weapon.
There's a war outside. Stay home or GTFO from the war zone = be safer. Simple logics. I can't say people walking around watching the shoot outs didn't have it coming to them
I got it! You just don't pay attention to anything It's "march mayhem 2010" meaning best game developer march 2009 - 2010. And Looking Glass are dead since 2000... (just pointing it out...)
No wonder you can't figure out what is happening in HL2
(still, voted Bioware. No matter how nice L4D was (is), I've beaten ME2 three times... IN A ROW...still love Valve, but Bioware was just better this year)
Well to be honest, it's not HL2's fault, seriously... at first let's put the fact that HL1 was not exactly "sandbox" either behind us, and focus on HL2 "making no sense". It's either you never even tried to make sense of "wtf is going on" (and it's a beauty of Valve's storytelling of it's own), or you just didn't want to accept a storyline more complex than "bad shit is going down, GTFO RITE NAO". [edit] OR you didn't pay attention at what's going on around you and never listened to the people who were talking on your screen. HL2 requires you to pay attention, not to storm though every single location[/edit]
1. Not really passive... remember Earth surrendered in a matter of 7 hours, I bet that was an enough demonstration of Combine power, thus, making people go by the "Resistance is futile" logic.
2. Maybe you weren't playing on a high enough difficulty setting, OR you just weren't that good at playing FPS games when you played HL1, and you got better by the time HL2 was out.
3. The "Random places with no connection to each other especially Ravenholm" argument is kinda pointless, since it's very well tied in and explained as to "why you go through ravenholm" and "why is the city populated by zombies". You were either not paying attention, or you just don't like a game that has a plot that can't be fit in 1 simple sentence (nothing REALLY wrong with that, but if that's the case, then you can't judge the game objectively)
4. Snooze fest : During the HL2 and the episodes you get to run away from the police in panic, unarmed; run away from the police armed; have a massive jetski chase; go through a zombie infested city; see some industrial district combat; drive a buggy down the shoreline; infiltrate a prison; participate in a full on war in the city; see the citadel from the inside; run around citadel's core that's going critical; shoot zombies in complete darknes; see some street and indoors combat; witness a destruction of the citadel; explore the abandoned mines; explore a bug nest; defend companions from bug infestation; clear out an industrial complex from zombies; drive a Mad Max 3 styled DODGE FREAKING CHARGER; outrun a helicopter; destroy a heli with it's own weapons; crawl through the trenches; survive an ambush in a hotel; see dog kicking striders' ass; DRIVE AROUND THE COUNTRYSIDE in a Mad Max 3 styled DODGE FREAKING CHARGER (don't tell me that car doesn't rock) FRANTICALLY SHOOTING STICKY MINES AT STRIDERS... (and... breathe)... please tell me you're kidding about this whole (mind you nicely coupled together sequence) is boring... because I find it to be a bit more interesting that "run around Black Mesa shooting stuff, occasionally pressing buttons to destroy big stuff that moves"...
Seriously, I don't believe that you are serious on that matter, it's like you're from bizzarroworld or something
Jar Jar Binks is annoying, that guy from MW2, what's his name, with a skull on his mask is forgettable, the whole Bad Company squad is stereotypical and flat... Each character from HL universe develops through out the series, and is quite good... except for Magnusson, who I hate, but he definetly isn't forgettable.
If you honestly say HL2 is not one of the greatest games of all time, you pretty much admit to ignorance, and that you can't get your head out of the mid 90's when each game was a "breakthrough" simply because there wasn't much available at the time.
I'm sorry, you're no expert, if your argument is "cause I said so" (and I haven't found any better argument, sorry), and it's invalid.
You'd prefer HL2 being a game with a primitive story where all you do is "GTFO of Black Mesa" with no character development.... scratch that... with NO CHARACTERS to speak of and the gameplay varying from "shoot from a pistol" up to "shoot from a machine gun"? Sorry but you fail. HL2 was awesome, and still is. Great story, great characters, proper character development, nice variety in gameplay style, and it even has PUZZLE moments, just to switch the pace from time to time. HL1 was "different" , HL2 - "genious"
Edit : actually the Finals are between Valve and Bioware... that's 2 out of 3 of my fav developers (third being Rockstar)... I don't even know who to vote for, ever since Bioware proved that they can actually make a game that is not re-telling KOTOR story, and since HL2EP3 is still "to be created on the day of the second coming"
