Sounds to me like you want to remove the user option "run windowed" or the shift-f4 key combo for changing from window to fullscreen and vice-versa. please do not, some addons (like LFS Display) really need the windowed mode of LFS =)
The new ZoneAlarm Version finally has a gaming mode. Its available via [Right Click on ZoneAlarm window] -> Gaming Mode. A window will pop up asking you how you want ZoneAlarm to handle Internet-Connections of new programs while in gaming mode - AutoAccept or AutoDeny. Eureka, no ZA window will pop up.
Even if there is a name&shame no-no on this forums, these two have goddamn deserved to be mentioned. They are really bad crashers - worst I've ever seen I'd say.
Does anyone remember a post that took place here about a month ago? It was mentioned there that a clan named "myg()t - the harassment authority" had put lfs on their harassment list. maybe two members of them finally decided to buy a license to go harrassing on lfs servers because they could not crack the licensing system of lfs
Disclaimer: the above paragraph was a joke - don't take it too serious
a) Erm... Why? This always helped me recognizing when I was able to push the pedal to the metal again after a pit stop (well... maybe precisely because of this help )
It of course will. first thing is that on some point click sounds are echoed or disappear, and AFAIK Scawen promised an auto-patcher for the UXX test patch series, so there will at a minimum be two more test patches - first one addressing the few left sound bugs and implementing the autoPatcher, the next testing the auto-patcher.
wow... reading all these reports makes me sorta happy
the last time this soundcheck test program was run, We were talking about a sound lag of 0.3 up to .7 seconds. now (on my XP machine) it works extremely well even with soundlag of 0.02! great work you did there Scawen!
you should give the LFS-TV client a few seconds (half a minute should be OK) to write the replay file ahead. This is because LFS does some sort of read-ahead when reading replay files, and the caster LFS also caches the replay data a bit before writing it to the temporary MPR file (and it of course can only be broadcasted if the data is in the file).
First: Do you sort of "cut" the replay so the watcher gets a (of course delayed, but "live") replay or does the Relay host simply send the whole replay to the client from the start of recording?
Second is about the first known problem,
This could be solved using an insim connection with flag "ISF_RACE_TRACKING" and a watching for NCN-Packets, couldn't it?
Other Problem that may be connected with the sound now being generated in a different thread:
I was racing in a grid of 10 people this morning, and on start I got massive FPS problems (3 FPS illepall) and sound was only hearable whenever a new frame became visible. It sounded a bit like when you TAB between cars quickly. This problem occured in all earlier patches as well, BUT there I had 15FPS on start, not 3.

Sad thing to read this, but I think a "farewell" is not the right thing to say now, I think the better thing will be "See you later". Anyways, good luck with the things you are going to do now you have got spare time, and please don't forget us completely .
