We need a huge server that we can all go into and have one huge race

As title, im curious, whats the most laps you have done on LFS in one race/practice?

Ive just done 101 laps on South Cith Claccic with the FO8, and my right leg is now numb

No its not Nforce, im using the Asrock Dual SATA2 board, which is on the ULi1695 chipset i believe.

Old F1 car, we have the BF1, and something like an old Brabham would be nice.

Ive updated my sound drivers and reinstalled the game from fresh and its solved it, or it seems to have. Updating GFX drivers helped a little bit but it still frozee occasionally, updating the sound drivers seems to have stopped it.

If you want the car to look like the FZR then drive the damn FZR, if you want it to look like the XFR, then guess what, drive the XFR, same for if you want the UF1 and UFR. If you want the XFR to go slowly, then im sure you can fiddle the gear ratios and put a wooden block under your accelerator to make it slower

Its a stupid idea IMO, itll just make a load of people use the UF1 and make it look like a UFR, and as for swapping wings etc, how chav do you want the UF1 to look?

After this where does it stop? Maybe change interiors too? Put a nice turbo dial on your UF1 to make you look well 'ard, then maybe be able to customise your boot and add some subs, then low and behold we have NFS!

Sorry about the rant, but im already not in the best of moods and im starting to get fed up of people asking for bodykit, NOS, subs and stick on tat.

With all the stupid ideas that come here sometimes, im really starting to wonder whether i want the option to mod LFS, as i really dont want to see NFS on LFS.

Ummmm, if they can then tell me how, the max the nvidia control panel shows is 8xAA and 16xAF. Nvidia cards never used to be able to do 16xAF properly until the 6XXX and above series, but as far as i know 8xAA is the max for any card out at the minute.

A 9700pro should play LFS nicely, and you should get AA and AF up a bit, maybe 2 or 4xAA and 4 or 8xAF with a slight performance drop but huge GFX increase.

You need to turn up AA and AF, which cant be done in LFS, you need to do it in your GFX card control panel.

Am i right in saying that you want an option to pause an entire MP server so that you can go to the toilet or do some other thing?

I think itll be around a while yet, we have S3 to come yet, and the game seem to be getting mroe popular. When i first bought a licence there were ~200 servers online, now there are regulary 400+.

LFS is also liek no other game in the way it plays, games like GTR require 100% attention all teh time, whereas with LFS you can just go out and cruise, or you can be on edge pushing, which puts LFS in a class of its own IMO.

Its gonna take another LFS style LFS game to wipe it out i think, which aint gonna happen for a while i dont think.

Whilst i agree with what your saying, i really enjoy GTR class at BL GP, it makes for some good races.

A server i try to play on when others are one use the standard cars, GT Turbo, FXO, UF1 etc on the fern bay tracks and its a really enjoyable race, but its not a combo i see alot.

Whilst BL GP is raced a lot, it is one of my favourite tracks, so i dont mind too much, but some variation would be a welcome change. However, there are combos i do nto enjoy, i done the FOX on aston histric last night and it was a long and boring race, each car was 5-10 seconds apart and it felt like watching the F1.

To honest mate, when your a beginner i find being consistent better than being able to do one mega fast time, if you can consistently post time with 1 second or so of each other you should be OK.

I was on last night doing a few races and i was almost always in the top 8 out of about 18 people, inclusing two 3rds, im not the fastest racer, i was a good 1 or 2 seconds off the fastest lap, but i can usually set similar times over and over again, making for a solid race. No matter where you race, as long as its not a server for pros, you will always have someone to race, you wont be the only one that is slow on track. As long as you drive safely, and obey the blue flags etc and race sensibly you should be fine. people dont kick slow drivers usually, they kick you if you drive like an idiot and wreck other peoples races.

Cant say ive ever noticed that.

As far as i knew you cant cheat in LFS, never came across peopel doing it. Their used to be numerous bugs, including one that would let you out drag a GT Turbo going forwards while in reverse, but that was before S1.

I only mentioned it because a teammate of mine tonight accidentally span a car and the guy just wouldnt give up on the kick voting until he was gone doing the usual crying "wrecker", think he started about 5 or 6 votes within a couple of minutes. Then after that he proceeded to start kicks on me without muh luck.

Anyone else think that the vote kick/ban options are stupid? I can understand wanting a kick for wrecking, but the fact that someone starts a vote and it fails, and the second it fails the same person can restart the voting, and does so until everyone gets fed up and just presses the 1 key.

Why not have a timer? If a kick/ban is initiated and failed, haev a timed gap before another vote can be initiated against that person, its just annoying people constantly restarting votes.

I really like him, hes a dangerous driver and is very gutsy on track, and someone ive always followed. In the same way ive got a soft spot for Williams, ive got a soft spot for him. I still think hes capable of winning a championship, but hes going to have to do it quickly, before he ends up back down the ranks again. Hes never really settled into that McLaren, and id like to see him in a better car.

Last 'simulator' i went to was a 32" plasma screen wth a basic racing frame, a logitech forula force GP wheel and a copy of EAs F1 with the 05 mod
