This is LFS, not NFS dude, stripes on your car and adding a big sound system doesnt make it go faster, EA games seems to forget that.

Ive got max fps at 30, got fraps set at full size recording at 30fps, tried with vsync on and off.

Just went through all that and its still doing it, its the only game that does it so it must be somethign to do with LFS.

Please help me.

Been trying to create a video for ages, and eventually got round to doing one. However, whenever i record a video with fraps the video is very flickery (link below).

Anyone got any ideas what could be up?

schofei, by the sounds of it he asked the devs to authenticate his work before it was released.

Since the Q patch the FXR limiter has not been opeerating as on previous patches on blackwood.

The limiter limits the car to 48mph, but as soon as you hit the dip on the pit straight, the car speeds up and you get a drive through penalty, rather annoying.

Ive attatched a replay of the problem below and the laps lay out as follows:

1 - Outlap
2 - Set my personal best
3 - Pit, get drive through pen on limiter
4 - Complete drive through pen, and get another one
5 - Complete drive through pen
6 - Pitstop, get another drive through pen

Please ignore the brief stop down the back straight on lap 4, needed the toilet

One thing that hasnt been said i dont think. Traction control, ABS and all the other assists are not available, so dont go looking for them.

To be honest, i used to spin the car loads when it stepped out, just dont be rough with the car, be smooth with the wheel and the back end wont snap, or it will be easier to catch, especially in the faster cars. Also, be smooth on the throttle, dont stamp on the accelerator, and that should help a bit.

I found the easiest way to get used to controlling oversteer was to make the car step out, and try to control it. Its annoying at first, but once you get used to it then it improves your car control loads. Try taking the XR GT Turbo out and chuck it around in the car park and around the tracks, to get used to controlling oversteer. Worked for me. Another car that is nice to do this in is the RB4 or the FXR due to the 4 wheel drive systems, which makes them a lot more contollable in a slide.

To be honest, stick with what you have an invest in something better when it becomes affordable, you have an OKish CPU that should cope with something like a 9700pro or 9800pro, any more will probably bottleneck your system.

Keep your cash and upgrade your GFX card when you have money, as none of those cards will give a significant improvement over what you have already. You might be better off adding a bit more RAM if your looking for a cheaper option, providing you dont have much of it already.

Your PC isnt compatible with the X300 mate, its a PCI-E card, not AGP, and the only reason i know of that people still use a Radeon 7000 PCI slot card for is if they have more than 2 monitors. Also, on a low end card like your looking at, more video memory will make little to no difference, so if it has to be one of those 4 cards, then the 9250 128mb, unless the 256mb version is only a few euros/pounds/dollars more.

AA on an FX5200, wouldnt recommend that to be honest as it will lower your rates a lot. I have also found that turning on vsync caused more freezing in the game. If you want a lower frame rate, try turning on AF, its not as intensive as AA, and will improve the looks of the game at the same time.

Im pretty new at skinning, only been on a few days. Basically i have came up with a deign i quite like, but it looks bare. What do you guys think i could add to it? preferably not cover it in sponsors.

DTM and BTCC are probably my favourite, love the V8 Supercars series too.

I really enjoy the F1, but it does not produce the best racing by any stretch of the imagination.
