Cant stand football, ill watch the England games, but other than that ill be on the PC probably due to nothig on TV. No top gear for 5 weeks and id imagine no Doctor Who either, so thats all the stuff i watch on TV not on.
Exhaust gasses are a really good idea, but i do wonder if its an animation thats just going to lower performance while only being visible while stopped.
It does look amazing in GTL, but its only good on that because of the flames that come out the exhaust.
As said, with no drivers the PC will revert to very basic drivers capable of simply doing the job of displaying an image, itll run at 16 bit colour and a minimal screen reolution and the PC will run extremely slowly when you are moving windows etc around the screen. No drivers will pretty much not stress the card at all and im not surprised its fine due to how minimalistic your operating system runs without drivers.
Right, you need Rivatuner, its a very small program that will give you a new tab on your Nvidia control panel. Once its installed go to your Nvidia control panel and go to the Frequencies section and change the option to manual overcloking and lower your memory clock speed.
You can turn it on and off, but it would be nice to change the % level before it kicks in, even if it was in the F12 menu, but you have to physically pit to change it.
If your still getting it after a format then im very tempted to say it is that card rather than drivers/software etc.
Definately make sure it isnt overheating, also check the card is seated in its slot properly. Take it out and put it back in. Maybe underclock the card to see if that solves the problem. If that doesnt solve it then do you have another GFX card you can try, just to make sure it is the card?
So can i, but in the training if you as much as touch the car its a fail. And do you know how many traing sessions there are? Ive spent hours so far and im only onto the GT Turbo
EDIT - Just checked and the training status doesnt get saved on LFSW, great. Ive formatted my PC and now its back to the start.
I dont it all, then got the what i think was the final spec ops mission (the one where you have to crawl around and not get detected). Id get 30 mins into it and get spotted. After a few days trying to do it i gave up.
That is your card not that game. Looks like either overheating or buggered memory.
Lower any overclocks
Check your temperatures, make sure the card isnt overheating
Does this happen in all games?
Just to be sure, install a new set of drivers
Got another PC you can try it in maybe?
Could be a power issue, what PSU is your PC running?
Tried a reinstall of LFS?
LFS is for online play, if you cant get online then whats the point in playing. Ive played LFS for years, well before S1 was available, so if a few years experience isnt good enough then the games not worth bothering with TBH.
I quit Americas Army for the same reason.
Honestly though, how many people here have actually completed ALL of the training lessons.
Do this and im moving to RFactor. The only reason i havent done all the tests is because the AI are thick. Im up to the off rad test where you race the cars and its difficult to get to 1st place without touching another car.
Bad idea, itll disencourage new players to buy the game too. Players should be able to learn off real players, not the thickest AI ive ever came across, and if servers dont like new players then kick them. I dont mind new players coming onto our server when its up, as long as they arnt idiots that wreck.
Ive just went onto blackwood with the XRR as i absolutely love that car, but its easier to flip that the XFR. Its as if all the weight of the car is on the roof, i got it on 2 wheels 5 times in 3 laps
As of a few days ago this started happening. When im in a server on a selection menu my game will just go black and stop me seeing anything. I can move my mouse into the bottom corner of the screen and i can hear the click sound when i select a button, just can see whats on the screen. I can easily tab out of the game and close it on the ctrl-at-del menu, but to solve it i need to restart my PC.
This seems to be happening 2-3 times in a night. Any advice much appreciated.
