Ill be buying a G25 in 2 weeks , so I hope this doesnt happen with my one.

As for the DFP (Revision B) that I bought a year and a half ago , I had it for just over a year before I lost the break pedal. But I only had it a month when the spiking started or I only got 80% accelerator. Ive fixed the brake pedal a month and a half ago , ever since its been trouble free.

sorry for not replying earlier. I would like a skin for the FOX.

I would like it to be similar but not exactly the same colours as the MClarren F1 car , but wth a red strip around the bottom (Just a small red strip.

I realy dont know what decals I would like so could someone give me some suggestions Or you could use your immagination XBscionXB (you can even advertise something of your own if you wish , im not pushed)

I am currently using the FOX mostly lately so this would be a start I suppose.

I would also like to thank you XBscionXB for stepping up to help. I hope to race with you some day. (My pb in the FOX around BLGP is only 1.10.51) I mostly drive on the Redline Racing server.

Hey guys / girlsI am wondering if somebody would make up a skin for my own personal use. I have an example from the finifhed skins of what I would like the skin to look similar to but not exactly the same.

I would like to have along the bottom edge of the cars written in dark red "Steve30x's Private Skin" and The Number 05 as my number. Feel free to add any decals you wish once it looks like a racing car skin. Also would it possible to make it for all LFS cars.

Quote from Gimpster :As a point of reference here is a link to a video of a honda S2000 equiped for performance. 2L inline 4, IRTB intake, tuned exhaust. This is what a track prepped street car can sound like. When I get the coin I am doing this to my miata.

Enjoy, and hope LFS can sound this good.

I had a 1991 Honda Jazz and when I bought it it had a 1.0 litre engine in the engine bay. As soon as the engine reached 4,500 rpm it turned into a different beast and sounded very similar to that car. The car redlined @ 7,500rpm and topped out @ 134mph.The person that sold me the car was after buying the car for his wife but she was afraid to drive it cause it was too powerful. Needless to say I bought it.

PS> Could we have a check for updates button in LFS so that when we go to play online we dont get the updates screen whenever theres a new update. Also look @ http://www.lfsforum.net/showthread.php?p=289986#post289986

I have a DFP and its waranty is out by a month. My brake pedal is broken and doesnt work. So I would like to be able to use one of the buttons on the wheel to brake. Ive set the X button to breaks but it doesnt want to work that way so im stuck that way.

LFS has been in development all along. You will see that the latest patch is U30 and soon to be U31 ( I think , Not too sure). So this game isnt after been abandoned. I see this game getting better all the time. When S3 comes im pretty sure there wont be any other game that matches how good this Sim / Game is. (Many will say this is the best game /sim)

Quote from Shotglass :steve why would you want to buy a new sys already ? its not like a conroe will be significantly faster than your current system (at least not to the point where its actually noticeable)

With default settings the Conroe will make no difference but when Overclocked to 2.88ghz the new setup will blitz my current system.

Ive read a review of the MOBO im buying (cant rember where) that the mobo im buying will OC that cPU with no problems.

I am currently running my System OC'd.

CPU AMD Athlon XP 64 3700 @ 2.4ghz (was 2.2ghz)
Ram 2.5 , 3 , 3 , 7 (stock 3 , 4 , 4 8)
2X BFG Geforce 7600 GT OC's in sli mode @ 600 / 1550 (was 580 / 1450)

3D Mark Score 11110.

To wheel4hummer: Oh right then by all means go for that single core.

It is but think of it this way. When You get it to its maximum Overclocking with stock cooling it beats the AMD FX 62 easily which is over 3 times its price. This means that you will be paying very little money for what you are getting. If you read the review on the link posted you will see What I mean

Also When I built this system in march I paid over 350 euros for this cpu and now I can buy it for 110 euro less.

Heres a quote from the review
Quote :The E6400 finds itself in between the X2 4200+ and X2 4600+ in price, but in performance the E6400 generally lands in between the 4600+ and 5000+. Once again, with these 2MB parts the performance advantage isn't nearly as impressive as with the 4MB parts (partly due to the fact that their native clock speed is lower, in addition to the smaller L2 cache), but even with AMD's new price cuts the Core 2 is still very competitive at worst. If you're not opposed to overclocking, then the E6400 can offer you more than you can get from any currently shipping AMD CPU - our chip managed an effortless 2.88GHz overclock which gave €780 (us $1000) CPU performance for €174.52 ($224).

and another
Quote :If you are simply interested in maximum processor performance, P965 with any of the Core 2 Duo parts is going to be very fast. Gamers on the other hand are probably going to at least want to think about SLI/CrossFire, as typical gaming settings will be GPU limited with just about any current single GPU. That means they might need to pay more for an appropriate motherboard, especially if overclocking is a primary concern. We're also waiting to find out how nForce 500 for Intel does in the overclocking arena; at present, there's definitely concerns about whether or not the NVIDIA motherboards can reach the high FSB speeds that are required for overclocking everything but the X6800.

The E6300 and E6400 can easily overclock to E6700 and Core 2 Extreme X6800 levels, though the smaller cache does limit performance a bit. That being said, our overclocked E6300 was able to equal and in all cases but one outperform AMD's Athlon 64 FX-62. In fact, in quite a few benchmarks, the overclocked E6300 is essentially out of reach of anything AMD can offer with their current K8 designs. At €142.58 ($183), the value here is tremendous, and if you're willing to overclock the benefits don't get any clearer than that.

The Core 2 Duo e 6400 is cheaper and IF you OC it it will be a faster setup for less money.

I would say conroe cause they beat the opants off the AMD CPU's. I was an AMD fanboy up untill i saw the reviews of the comparison between the new Intel Core 2 Duo and the AMD 62 FX. The difference is big.Read This review it should help with your decision.

In about two and a half months ill be upgrading to

Ram: GeIL 2GB (2x1GB) PC5300 667MHz Value DDR2 Dual Channel Kit (GX22GB5300DC) (MY-034-GL) http://www.overclockers.co.uk/acatalog/Geil_DDR2_Memory.html

Motherboard : Asus P5N32-SLI SE Deluxe http://www.asus.com/products.a ... amp;amp...amp;modelmenu=1

CPU: Intel Core 2 Duo E6400.

TO Forbin: You do know that CPU can be OC'd to 2.88ghz safely on stock cooling dont you?

Ive upgraded MY Graphics cards but thats all. I changed from a single XFX 6800 GS XXX To two BFG 7600 GT OC cards. With my system It never drops below 72FPS in a full grid.

BTW Where do I find the LFS benchmark?

You could buy your Licence the same way I did. I emailed Scawen and asked If I could send a money order and he emailed me the details I needed to post a money order to him. I sent it by registered post incase it would get lost.

Could you possibly make it possibe to remove some of the backfire sounds and still make it work? But as I said before the Backfire sounds would sound better if the cars had a set backfire for upshift/downshift instead of randomly picking the backfire sounds. I am disabling the backfire for now but I will say your work is good so far and i look forward to your future updates.

Heres a list of the backfire sounds that I would like removed because they dont sound right to me but might be alright to others.

backfire (4).wav
backfire (5).wav
backfire (13).wav
backfire (15).wav
backfire (19).wav
backfire (21).wav

these ones would be alright if the engine was at high revs for a while and then you lift off the accelerator completely

backfire (10).wav
backfire (14).wav
backfire (20).wav

Also to those that cant understand the first post just leave it alone. I am not speaking for everyone else but I understood clearly the first post. Also I cant see anything wrong with Beckys attitude. She is just standing up for herself the same as any normal human would do because you guys are picking at her like a dog to a bone.

I like the concept in this mod but one of the backfire sounds rolls on way too long. lso I would prefer a single Backfire sound for upshifts and a single sound for downshifts. The multiple sounds for upshifts and downshifts dont sound right to me and most cars should have a different type of backfire sound. Dont get me wrong the work you have done so far is good but it needs work. This is not a criticism just a suggestion

Quote from Gimpster :Not sure if any one else is having the same issues but after trying one of the U patches my client developed a rythemic hanging, running for 2 seconds and then locked for two seconds. Since this was unplayable I reinstalled the T patch over the U and it went away but is starting to come back.

It only happens when I am on the track or viewing the track. Currently it happens for about 1.5 laps and then it stops. It almost as if it is not loading the track fully until that part is needed or somthing. I will not have a chance to test further until Sunday morning though, just wanted to mention it.

I used to have the same problem with my old steering wheel. How i cured it ws reduce all programs to idle and it ran perfectly. To achieve this you need to download a program like Process Lasso but I no longer need the program.
