Quote from Gil07 :I don't think there will be much room for non-SRs

How about Official Friends of SR?

Now that the billboards are jpegs I'm sure it would be easier to persuade mags to throw it on their DVDs on a more regular basis as they can have their own logos on the tracks.

I could probably run around Aston for a couple of hours if it would help.

I don't understand the GT2 specs though - Ballast of 20% etc? Do you mean kg or is that an intake restriction?

Quote from george_tsiros :don't wear watch when racing. added weight and imbalance. plus strain on the wrist.

When Alonso was at Renault the first time they actually calculated the effect of him wearing his watch. It's not added weight because total weight is car+driver but they worked out the effect of having a higher centre of gravity (instead of being able to put those few grams in as ballast within the floor - not that they could afford to shave the weight that close) and it was something ridiculous like 0.0004s per lap and totally theoretical.

Of course in 250 MotoGP Simoncelli seems to manage with a few kilos of excess hair compared to the rest.

EDIT: G25 superb build quality, although the shifter feels a bit flimsy.

Quote from Gentlefoot :Haven't worked out the details with the sponsor as yet. Will let ya know once I've met with them.

Can you have a word with your sponsor about backdating prizes?

Yeah, racecraft is very important, especially in league racing. Always try to be faster than the smart guys and smarter than the fast guys.

Wouldn't there have to be strengthening bars to maintain the rigidity of the chassis in the soft top? Some soft tops end up weighing more than their hard topped counterparts.

Mark McCormack'a IMG group gave him an interest free loan, only repayable if he made it big in F1. The kicker was that like the young fella they also got a fair chunk of his wages in F1. He took IMG to court eventually to obtain a ruling that the contract was unfair - of course, he only did this after he had made it and was earning big money.

Not quite doomed from the start. Do you know how Coulthard got the money to get into F1?

Oh okay, 458hp

FO8 actually has 450hp, not 800hp.

Very bumpy ride you have there! You turn in quite early into most corners for my preference and you can be flat-out through that tricky little left onto the backstraight, but no matter - nice job, very slick.

Except it is travelling 900mph as the Earth rotates and in another direction at 67,000 mph as it orbits the Sun. Then of course the whole solar system is moving relative t....

Good idea, although I would be happy just having a bit more room for multicoloured names.

Quote from TFalke55 : or they took Mark Webber to set the view

even me, who was only sitting in a repica of a McLaren Mercedes of 2002 in a museum, can tell that it is way to high. Same in an DTM car, you really cannot see the street (you must feel it)

That's the problem with virtual compared to real life. You cannot "feel it" in the same way within LFS because rather than being in the middle of a real environment you are looking at a 3D representation on a flat screen. Whilst you can reproduce the position on the view you cannot simulate everything else that comes from actually being there so I don't see a problem with raising the view an inch or two to compensate.

Quote from Rudy van Buren :A little small fact what i didnt post in the first place becaus i wanst sure if Krutch was oke with it.

The Top 3 off this Race gets a Wildcard to join Div.A next season even if they didnt finish in the top 6 of Div.B last year. !!

You need one of those spots yourself Rudy

There are also places available for former OWRL champions and if there are still free spaces after all that then the league will take direct applications. A good clean drive in this event would help your application so there's something to go for even if you don't think you can beat Rudy or Bas.

I suppose it saves a bit of electricity as the starter motor does have to spin half the gearbox aswell as the engine with the clutch pushed in.

Atari used to name their custom chips in their computers - instead of 790SLi there was Pokey, etc.

Would be nice to be able to download Patch Albert and would be an easy way to start recycling the alphabet. Get to Patch Zach then start on girls' names.

Whatever you did Messy (and I am not getting involved in that particular debate thanks ) you were actually representing two teams on Saturday - SR and spdo. Both have spent a long time in LFS building supreme reputations.

Ask yourself (don't tell me or anyone else on here, just think about it) if everything you did was becoming of two such respected teams. Ignore what was done to you - did you behave in a way that is a credit to the teams that you belong to and raced for on Saturday?
