ok, did it. Good to know you cannot withdraw or remove yourself from the league script.

op updated with qualifying password and a few more sentences regarding the session.
Round 1 [06 Mar 16] 3 hours of Rockingham ISSC
TFalke55
S3 licensed

Qualifying will run from today, 27 Feb 2016 16:30UTC until Sun, 6 Mar 2016 16:30UTC. Drivers can drive as many laps as they wish to. A team needs at least one timed lap to be allowed to start the race. E.g. it is enough that one driver of the team sets a lap. If more then one driver of a team sets a lap time, the faster time will be taken for the starting line-up. The end of the qualifying also marks the deadline for changes to the team's line-up, class or car.

The qualifying password will be published here, so teams, that sign-up can directly do qualifying, even when noone's sending them a password. Please always drive with your correct name format on the server, so it is easier to do the qualifying results. Wink
server: Open Endurance Cup
password: RIoScSkC

Race starts at 17:00UTC, with the gridding at 16:50UTC. The new password will be posted shortly after the end of the qualifying session. Please point out any mistakes in the class/car choice thread, because the starting-line up is set by those information.
The race commences with a lap behind a pace car. The field stays single-file throughout the lap. When the pace car enters pitlane, the leader controls the pace. The race itself is then started by a "Green Flag" signal. EDIT: Once it is shown, overtaking is allowed.
Be cautious on the first racing lap! Rockingham's first hairpin has a reputation to end one's ambitions early, you are not alone on the track! This even more counts for traffic, as it is the lapping car's responsibility to overtake at a safe spot (e.g. NOT in the triple left hander from Pif Paf to Graceland or in the middle of the final Brook chicane [see trackmap]). It moreover won't be a race of plenty of overtaking spots, so be patient.
When you are changing drivers the entering driver shall enter the server when the exiting driver is on his inlap. After the change the exiting driver shall leave the server as soon as possible.
In case you end up stranded in the gravel or you damage your car so badly you cannot return to pitlane on track, you may rejoin the race from the pits/spectators. However any rejoin will be charged with 1 lap!

Team: Sportscar Driving Evolution
Class: GT2
Car: FZ50 GTR

Then you need to remove yourself from the sign-ups and tiptoe needs to add you to Sportscar Driving Evolution. Wink
Should it for some reason be impossible for you to remove yourself, then I'll do it Tongue but please try yourself first.

The server name will change to Open Endurance Cup, server will be passworded for the duration of qualifying and the race (and if I don't forget it) it will be without password for all other times.

Quote from treborX :number 44 for FXO GTR for Team3

Once that team is in the sign-up script I'll add them accordingly.

EDIT:
Quote from Tiptoe :Observing the development of this, we are considering a change to GT1, too.

But as we're not going to start at Rockingham, there is a bit of time left, to see, if any other teams are going to sign up for GT2, meanwhile.

Yep, although there are still six teams that have not posted their decision yet.

By the way updated the list in the opening post, #77 is in, although they are not on the sign-up list, as I accidently hit remove instead of approve Dead banana

The template I have given is not compulsory, you can move the numberplate anywhere on the hood/bonnet, but not on the roof.

EDIT: I chaged the "shall" in the opening post to a "can" concerning the numberplate positions according to the OEC1 template.

EDIT2:
Quote from k_badam :ok i am on it xD

Quote from Timo1992 :LFS needs one of the NDR leagues back on saturday evening. I'm very sure it would bring back many of the old racers as well. Just look at the attendance of all the people in the S3 Voucher event. It was brilliant.

Well let's face it, it was pretty much an off-season event. The first weekend of the year is certainly not the most event packed in sim racing and with S3 just made available for purchase, people looked at LFS and saw a seemingly competetive event with some old names. Some of the drivers attending said, if they win a voucher they'd give it to a friend as they are racing elsewhere and would not return. Overglorifying NDR is not helping either, as there was also a struggle for attendance in the last seasons run, ignoring the fact that other organisations like Genuine Racing organised also competetiv and strong grids and .

What is currently very very difficult, is to get the information for league racing together. I do the #leagueupdate on facebook.com/LiveForSpeedFanpage. Not all events are entered into the racing calender. Some events take only place in facebook groups, some on websites (and others use illegal versions). When you ask them why they don't at least add their event dates to the calender and/or publish them on the forums, their answer often is that (their) racers don't use the official platforms (anymore) and that it is therefore more convenient on social media or their own platform.

At the end of the day it is like Meat Loaf said: Objects in the rear view mirror may appear closer then they are.

EDIT: Afer all, it went pretty much off-topic, seeing it originally just dealt with just one server.

Open Endurance Cup Two - Skins
TFalke55
S3 licensed
Here is the place for you to post your skins.

Quote : All skins for a car must contain the provided, required elements. The number board featuring the team'?s starting number shall be placed on each side of the car and on the hood/bonnet. A wrong skin in the race session will be penalised with a drive-through penalty.

You'll find the numberboards attatched below (OEC2_numberplates.zip), the use of the logo(s) included in the zip-archive is not compulsory. An example, featuring the OEC1 numberplates, how the numberboards can be aligned is also attached (Numberplates_OEC_allaigned.psd).

To tell GT1 from GT2 cars, GT1 cars shall paint the complete underside of their rearwings and both car's mirrors in red (#e41819), GT2 cars shall paint these elements in green (#009635). NGT cars have no further requirements.

Quote from ACCAkut :Wonder if they'll still do typical Top Gear challenges or back to the roots car journalism.

With Chris Harris and the Speedbee I can see them having more car journalism segments, as both did their job on that end, while I can see Eddie Jordan in a 2nd row Clarkson role.

Information regarding skin requirements will be released when the skin thread is opened. There will be three different number boards (Same design, different colours, for each class one) and required elements for GT1 and GT2 cars, so they're distinguished from each other. The NGT will only need the number board. The number board can be placed anywhere on the bonnet.
Last season I produced a psd how I would've placed them on the car. It is in the number board zip from last season, downloadable from the homepage.

Quote from Tiptoe :One more question arises, that can't be answered by the lfs manual: The custom layout for Kyoto. Will this layout be available for download somewhere, to have a practice already?
It's still almost five months until then, but anyway...

You can download it here: https://www.lfs.net/forum/thread/73903-New-Open-Track-Configurations-%28Track-maps-and-layouts%29

It is also known as "K31". It is part of the attatchment in the opening post. Scrolling down a bit, you also find a trackmap. Since it is reversed, you need to be on KY3Y to load it properly.
