I look forward to this race every year as its the first taste of racing after the winter(even though we still have another couple months of cold here). Anyone else going to be watching this weekend? SPEED looks like they have 12-13 hours of coverage this year, I'll probably watch a good portion of it. Just wish they had more throughout the night though as that is my favorite time to watch, maybe there will be an online stream on their website or something though.

Stupid idea in my opinion. Practice is supposed to be just that, practice. If you're going to make practice count, then you might as well just call it pre-qualifying. I guess they're supposed to announce something about this and also the new points tomorrow.

Any chance we could get one of those big maps generated of what the world looks like so far? I'm wondering what other cool stuff people made that I haven't seen yet.

I will say that being able to build large structures without monsters blowing your stuff up constantly is kind of nice. Before I normally just chilled in my big glass dome all night.

Because I can't transport ice, and if I happened to break a piece of ice while building on it, then I wouldn't be able to get it back as far as I know. You're right that real ice would probably look better than wool and glass though. I'm going to need A TON of wool for this thing.

Alright good, wasn't sure how easy it would be to find it since I set the league to private but must not have been too hard.

It also looks like there is a live draft to pick drivers to start the year, we can all just set up lists and let the computer take care of it though.

So do we want to do Fantasy Nascar this year? It looks like Nascar.com has free fantasy leagues and its easy to set up, I'll make one if people are interested.

Not if he's not being threatened by any Nationwide guys behind him. I guess I just don't see the problem with this system, you score the points you would have gotten if the Cup guys did count, but they aren't actually running for the title. The race could be 95% Cup drivers, the guys running for the Nationwide title will be scored based on how well they did against them, and that seems fine to me.

I also have a monster killer but mine doesn't seem to work on pigs, they just slide right under it. We need mobs back on so I can start collecting the good stuff though.

I was actually already planning on building a full scale hockey arena in the near future. Its going to be massive though, I built a not-to-scale football arena on another server I used to play on and it was absolutely huge. I would have no problem building this within the confines of your city though.

That's how I was hoping it would work, seems like it would be confusing completely ignoring the fact that some guys wouldn't be scoring points. Also, if the top Nationwide guy is running say, 6th, what would be his incentive to pass the top 5 guys if he knew he was guaranteed 1st place points anyway?

It would be sweet if for one race everyone had to use throwback paint schemes. I know the sponsors are different now, but they could still paint them in that style. Kasey Kahne's Bud tribute car from last year was awesome.

Think that might have been the Goodyear tire test. This is the official preseason test on the new track, guess there's like 40 teams down there or something, hopefully some more action tomorrow afternoon, biggest pack I saw today was only 5 cars. 23 days until the Shootout...but more importantly the 500 is only a month away.

Double file restarts is probably the best rule change Nascar has made in a while.
