No, with adventure mode you won't be able to place or destroy; but you will have access to tools etc. (weapons?) for use.
You will spawn either in or right next to a NPC village, and that will be your home.. thus you won't need to make a place to live.
Once 1.9 comes there will be a purpose to Adventure mode; right now there isn't much point in it. But 1.9 should bring you challenges to mob bosses at strongholds; or down in old mineshafts etc. Should get interesting; but not yet, 1.8 is just a "patch"
Survival mode is what you're used to now; that's what it currently is; build, destroy, save yourself from mobs.. same old same old.
Creative you will have access to all blocks and content.. you will destroy with your hand blocks instantly which makes quick and easy building; and you will also be able to fly with a double jump (double tap space bar); and somehow you can take maps you create in creative and export / import them and be able to play survival mode on them
Now someone on youtube on the trailer said we won't get the update until the 12th?
I don't know... either way it's soon.
I made my huge half fish bowl..it's massive! I just need to build some coral or something in it to make it interesting; make a ship in there :P
He also put a trailer up, but it shows everything you probably already know.
1.8 will be fun and all, but 1.9 .. that's when it all begins with actually having something to do; this update is just content.
Still trying to build a damn river lock.. you just can't change the level of water.. need to talk to notch about it; higher level and lower level rivers and waterfalls would be nice.
Intended to originally but it wasn't working out .. at all LOL
I had them powdercoated.
Which the lady that runs the place will probably be happy to see me this week when I bring her a roll bar lol.. If I can figure out how to fit it in my car without having to set it up lol
Also installed a newer optimized throttle body; but it's giving me serious problems that I can't figure out.
We think it may be a vacuum problem; but I can't find the source, and I know it isn't the actual TB, because when I run the car in accessory mode the throttle opens and closes damn near instant. But when I drive, the idle is crazy high, sometimes gets stuck in a 2k-3k and back down loop and won't stop; and hangs when I try to shift.. just can't figure out what it is.
Can't get much deeper in a Mazda 3; very few people have run 10s, and the offset has to be on point; 9 is just easier, offset on these is somewhere in mid 30 range. I will have to camber them out a touch, but not retardedly.
But even then; these wheels are 20 years old and I believe these were the only two size barrels made for 17" (I could be wrong, but there is such limited information about these wheels to begin with)
Hmm hours? Well they were pretty shit if you say them first time around .. here's a reminder:
Overall time.. I dunno, I didn't really count how long I was working on them.
And besides I wasted a lot of time by attempting to paint them myself; but overall it wasn't to bad, a few mornings here and there. Maybe somewhere in the 20-30 hours range total?
As far as skyactiv; that's what they've been testing more recently now before releasing full is the actual longevity test.
But, Mazda also has essentially 'beta' testers out there right now.
2010 Mazda 3s and all 2010+ mazda car right now has skyactiv parts that have been finalized.
But really they are ready to release it. They wanted to release it on the 2012 Mazda 3, but they couldn't fit the exhaust manifold into the 3's frame.
Either way though, it's some pretty awesome stuff going on.

And at some point pick up some Speed 3 front brakes and some slotted brakes.
:/ yeah. Diesel.. not a pretty sound, that sounds like a truck lol, so wrong sounding, I wouldn't know what to think if I saw a merc that sounded like that drive by me down the highway, I would probably laugh actually
