Well it is nice to drive it, but I have a few comments to make about it

Mostely, you're following the line of the initial track, so when you're used to drive on a standard Black rev track, it's okay most of the time.
The added corners are nice, though, and new chicane is a bit more challenging at high speeds.
Finally, it's a bit too narrow, and even if it is nice for time trials or leader-chaser battles, there should be some more space to overtake

If I could give an advice, next time you make a touge track make it wider (narrow the base track), and it'd sound even better You're doing a good job, so keep on !
Autocross Touge

Hey anyone !

Here's a small touge (mountain pass) autocross layout I "made.
Indeed, it's heavily based on Drift_junki3's drift layout AU1_estate, that you can find here : http://www.lfsforum.net/showthread.php?t=8632
(I thank him very much, beacuse he made a very good basis, very close to mountain roads)
You have some pics on this URL

I've just "closed" it, removing the open corners, adding one hairpin editing the 180° turn, and making a start/finish line.
It's an "up-and-down" configuration, so basically you do the track in one way, and have to do it reverse after a 180° turn.

The good point of this layout is because it has almost every kind of corners, you can either practice your drift/grip skills, or have some intense battles with the cars you like (because you have no long straightaways, gripping isn't really faster than drift, and all cars can be on an equal basis)

There are some layouts on LFS i'm working on that reduce the width of the roads with some original lines and are more intense

I guess there are some that exist also right now

Fern Bay improvement : hairpin

Hey there !

I have a suggestion to do, which would be very simple to do, and yet quite cool.

In the Fern Bay's tracks (Especially Green and Black), after goind up the coast cliff, there's a hairpin road going to the mansion on the left/right of the road (depending whether it's rev or not), that is modelised, but unaccessible, the car teleports when you go 20m beyond the cones.

So my suggestion is, because I usually do On track layouts for friends and myself, to modelize the ground under that road, so that cars could go there.

It would be a small, but good improvement to the game, as well for creating layouts, or to create other official tracks

Thanks for not flaming me

I've got a problem when using Fraps.

Actually, the game freezes and the video recording stops after that. At the beggining I though it was because of some views that, associated with fraps, made my 3D card overload, but this stuff is quite unpredictible. I've tried closing all the apps around, and it still does the same effect ...

Anyone has a suggestion ? (i tried putting the lower FPS in both apps, and lowering the resolution to 640x480 16 bits, and it stills does the same ^^)

Or somebody could help me using LFSMM because I followed what they said, but it doesn't seem to work either...

Thanks for your help !

Hi everyone !

So as to start I apologize if there is a similar thread, but as far as I searched, i didn't see any ^^

After several weeks of hard training in LFS, I'm actually looking for some fellas to create a Touge community (not a team for the beggining, since i assume that many people might be interested in this concept while already being in a team ^^).

So, basically what is Touge ? For those who have a false idea of it : IT ISN'T SHOW DRIFTING LIKE IN D1GP ! Even if you can drift in Touge races/duels, the main goal of Touge is being fast so, depending on your car and your set, you can either drift or grip, in order to be the fastest you can.

Touge usually takes place in mountain roads all around the world (espacially Japan), and because we haven't got (yet ^^) a mountain track, we have to make layouts for the existing tracks. This layouts must be tricky enough, cuz usually drift layouts result in just a big slalom around the track ^^

So, i'm looking for people eager to participate as well in the races as in layout designing ^^

Feel free to sens me a PM or an email, and remember, even if you're in a team, you can join, for this isn't a team, just a bunch of (drunk) Touge racers of LFS ^^

Hope to see you soon
