Can or will the team be updating the Hotlap analyzer? Flash is becoming obsolete an will no longer be supported in some browsers in December. I like using the hotlap analyzer over F1perfview.
Adjustable mirrors are so good! I am a stickler for perfectly adjusted mirrors IRL, now I can spend more time than necessary adjusting my mirrors in game too!
More cars are being released with them stock, making them more common than before. That being said, being able to see performance differences in game. Even though cars in game are not too similar to any newer car: having torsen diffs would really help setup theory IRL in, for example, a Scion FRS (Toyota GT86).
I can't imagine the torque simulations should be that difficult in theory since technically torque distribution between the left and right tires should be exactly inversely proportional (as left-side torque goes up x%, right-side torque goes down x%) and straight line torque should ideally be equal.
I am not inclined to work up any equation, but theoretically it should be really simple. Then again, I may not know what I am talking about.
A project I've had in mind since Beta 1.3 finally coming to fruition! A water slide that is built like a roller coaster in roller coaster tycoon, one segment at a time.
I had been planning to build a segmented water slide using MCEdit but never got around to actually using it. Fast forward, 1.8 The Bountiful Update comes out with the /clone command. Granted copy & pasting is probably much easier in MCEdit, I still haven't gotten around to using it. With the new updated out, like with every major update, I have to pop on Minecraft just to check out the new stuff; so motivation to build something was easy to come by.
I have the same problem. The text boxes don't wrap to small enough window sizes.
I like to split my single monitor so I can view two windows at once. As shown, the right side of the LFS forum is cut off, and there is no sideways scroll bar on the bottom.
The logitech G27 is 299.99 USD so for $50 more you can afford that.
The Fanatec Forza motorsport CSR is 249.95 USD This one is compatible with xb 360, ps 3, and pc.
Also I recommend getting a wheel that at least has a clutch pedal. you'll want a clutch pedal soon after getting a wheel without one.
Another question is what platform are you primarily using PC, PS 3/4, xbox 360/one? The answer to that one will effect that wheels are available to you.
Actually having some centering spring really helps with the lack of force in the center of the logitech wheels. Since scrub radius and pneumatic trail forces seem to not be simulated, there is no feedback when going straight or in slight left-right chicanes where the in-game wheels don't turn very much.
My LFS Setting: Force 44
Edit: Wheel turn compensation 0
My Profiler settings:
Side note:
LFS doesnt add any extra vibration/force that the tires don't experience. You'll notice the rumble strips a lot more if they are under a loaded outer tire on exits, than on an unloaded inner tire mid corner.
My laptop is definitely performing better when stressed compared to before. It was a mid range laptop when I got it, at least it is still performing at that mid range level as when I got it..
This solution worked for me, but I may have had a different problem. The strange this is, I was previously using the default Intel Graphics Family drivers that came with the laptop, but the driver utility recommended HD Graphics 3000 drivers.
Edit: I actually had FPS stutter problem before 6F, where the FPS would drop from 62 FPS down to 9-14 FPS at frequent irregular intervals, though I don't know what changed on my laptop to suddenly cause it.
A bit late on the bandwagon, but nice work. I really like that last item on the list of improvements. Though the "pre-stop" lolipop man needs to be only visible to each individual car that drives into the pit lane, otherwise someone ahead may stop in someone else's pit box.
Good article. His critique on other anime artists and directors makes sense. That sets him and his art appart from other average anime. 'Normal' people can enjoy miyazaki's movies, where as it takes a true otaku to enjoy shugo chara at the age of 37 (not me btw, just an example).
Would the only problem with dualbooting windows on the Steam Machine be the lack of drivers? Unless they specificly block the software, I don't see any reason it can't be done.
Nice to hear some good news about the beta. Though I'd still need to get a pc for Assetto Corsa, I'll be going Linux all the way once Alienware or some other company releases their Box.
The only other game I might miss out on that I play would be FSX. I should check if XPlane works on Linux.
