right shoulder button- shift up
right trigger- throttle
left trigger- brake
X- ebrake
Y- horn

ok... so the answer to the question of "should lfs support or contain driving aids?" is... LOL?

We should just crash our cars and just not even bother to learn how to drive without aids and just laugh it off, and be like Burnout, where our ultimate goal is to destroy cars???

jk...

i think that the game engine would look good in GT, that's all, gt5 has sexy graphics and a delicious looking menu of cars.

but, yes, i was joking about "Frankenstein-ing" games together...

you only get this issue with controllers or wheels. it's when the driver is crap and it merges your triggers or pedals together into one long axis and forces you to use the throttle and brake combined... the fix is usually a long winded 3rd party driver that would be glitchy and otherwise hasslesome to fix. with the XBCD 360 0.25; i can't even use the clutch in lfs, even if it shows up fine in the setting tests. so now i am stuck with the merged axis and microsoft driver

awsome! speaking of that, we should copy and paste every good thing about every other racing game together and try to smooth everything out... or just try to convince polyphony that our game is superior and would beg the devs to merge with LFS

i think that it wouldn't help the realism much but it would be more fun, knowing that you mastered a REAL track, and that with a pedal set and lfs's Uber-physics, you actually know about performance driving.

i hope

i remember an episode of top gear where jeremy tested grand turismo against reality and he said that all car sims are still video games and therefor shouldn't be used to compair cars in real life. I honestly hope that LFS would prove his statement wrong!

so would you agree that LFS is THE most physically realistic game at the time, where i can actually learn about performance driving and cornering?

^ROFL, just keep pressing right...
but you would have a friend do that, or else you would be too sore to race... and another mod would be: to have the ability to TYPE the values for those kind of things...

wait... is it possible to set up a 24 hr endurance race with teams and affiliations?
that would be awsome

Quote from BlueFlame :If it's a HUGE difference, why do you say you are basically asking for a car we already have, rather than a WHOLE new car?... The thread Title is about a Drift specific car, yet you are taking the lead in the threads argument saying that ISN'T what you want, and what you want is just a tweaked XRT. This poll is a joke. And stop saying I can't look past the word 'drift' I can easily to it myself, it's just a joke of a sport and competition, it's just a fun way to drive a car, it's like driving a car on 2 wheels, you think there is a sport for that? NO. It's a joke.

and racers who are drifters are all those pro drifters you see out there. most of the legends out there are super gt racers

make replicas of real tracks, just change the scenery and throw in a few random detours and pits off the main ring... brilliant, i should get a million dollars...

so? you use a controller or a wheel or some sort of analog device to steer, who is it going to hurt if we make the steering sharper? the keyboard racers? PfffffT!

well someone DID say that there was a correlation between crap and the phys- hold on, sorry wrong thread, i got it from the nurburg thread
http://www.lfsforum.net/showthread.php?t=9988
but yeah... ok, i mean, just sacrifice some stuff and we can hopefully get real cars and tracks if the devs enable free mods...

^i hear about xbox live a lot it's the NW of the US it's where microsoft is based in, and i have a lot of reletives that work at the microsoft HQ.

but no, i don't play xbox live, i don't even have an xbox, the closest thing is an xbox 360 controller i bought for lfs. it's the best controller(not wheel or anything else) for racing games since there are 4 analog controls, i use the right analog stick(usually used for views) for clutch.

yes, I want more content,

but with the evolution comment, i was trying to comment on how people would [rather have no conflict with other racers then have mods], -rather- [than have a loosened community with a bunch of crap mods floating around then have some good mods that are good along with a real physics system; making a game that would trump GT5].

and those games like rFactor doesn't have a bad engine because of modders, but because their engine was crap, period, if people want an easier time driving or have an arcade like driving experience go play drift city. people chose lfs because they want to learn about car dynamics. i know i did.

yes, this is a joke, but stunt driving is apparently becomming a sport, believe it or not.
It's a fact, but the thing is some aspects of this stunt driving can be used in racing, such as someone mentioned earlier where you would be able to control your car althought you "lost control" of it.

dude... what's wrong with adjustable suspension, just imagine you have a freely moddable suspension system, as typically, a suspension system is what you should first invest in racing
