go to a day of autoX and you will understand my stand on the tire usage... it's rediculous.

but no, they might have a point based "drift session" but that is not going to teach you how to drift in a car.

in a realistic sim, you will have to master several aspects of car control as you do in real life. obviously, you have only heard of drifting from f+f and automatically assume that drifting is ricer shit.

i watch show drifting... kinda, i actually watch wrc and touge more. but seriously, drifting is not as simple as you think, just like how normal people think F1 is just men in carts driving around. and drifting is a type of performance driving, you need to know how to race before you drift, it's not just joyriding one afternoon sliding in snow.

...you might be a red neck if....
you put beer in your cereal...
your dog passes gas and you claim it...
if you have 10 cars that don't work and 1 that's your home...
if your mud flap doubles as your doormat...

um... drifters typically look for the MOST physically realistic sim there is not an arcade game.

I am looking for a sim that i can play instead of paying for gas, tires, and new car parts that I damaged. WHAT IN THE WORLD makes you think that drifters would want an arcade game?!?!?

and i don't think you can stop drifting in a game where it's totally realistic, that's only going to make it better for drifters. use your brain.

and how can you factor out car tuning when you are talking about a racing simulator? that would be retarded if you can't adjust your suspension and how each car drives.

lol, how about an arcade-like game with all sorts of gimicky features like NFS but have a physics system that is so realistic, it's impossible to drive with a kybard.

and... this is the only real sim in this generation, i can't wait till s2 reaches new hights in the next generation of racing sims. oh, wait, i think that s2 patch y is better then prologue, except for that little thing with fictional cars and tracks.

Quote from hazardboy :I'm with you on that. only trusted players could be cops, and yes, a good mileage on the cars + training from players high up on the ladder of ranks.

Atlantian: Let's be realistic... animals?? that would mean new graphics, alter tracks and such... LFS developers would never go with that. and guns? go play GTA: san andreas or something

or what about the click ignition system made by Blizzard? they should add that to lfs

me thinks that we can do both on lfs...

no, i think you misunderstood me, i mean, races are quick matches, but role playing goes on for hours...

and the sim idea seems like a chat room... with cars.

to driver:"ok, we are now going to test our new traction control system along with the new dynamic grade AI, just sit back and enjoy the ride"

EDIT:^"man, my fuel gague is so wrong! i need to check the fuel level manually with my new mutant abilities"
why did you choose LFS?

What is your reason to pick lfs over other simulators?

that would take a looooooooooooong time to even get a game going...

and i think you should go play warcraft 3 on a sim server... did you even come here to drive?

Quote from AndroidXP :Front engine RWD for me. MR cars (when not counting single seaters) seem to be too much of a handful to drive.

BAH! HumBug!

how about adding "profiles" just like in prostreet. where if you abuse your car, it would carry over into the next race. combined with GPL
where the engine is overly sensitive, if you push it too hard, you better be perpared to lose your place in the race.

so like in real life, if you smack around your car, you will have bad tires, a glitchy engine, and a cooked clutch(i love the y patch, made me drive much smoother)

i mean just have a big "curved wide screen"(that is so wide it wraps around you) that would just be placed around you on a desk or on stands

Quote from Luke.S :Front engine all wheel drive cause i like skylines scoobies and evos

scubies and gtr's are different from evos
infact i think that the subies are different from gtr's

Evo's are ff's with an added "aftermaket" driveshaft

subie's are solid awd with the engine parallel to the drive shaft; this symmetrical driveshaft allows for a raw-er(not a word) platform that makes computers optional since there is no torque steer and all the torque is distributed evenly among the wheels
^so are porsche 911 turbo's

last time i checked, GTR's are FR platforms with a weird link from the rearmount transmission to the front axis... which is lopsided, but who cares, it's computers do all the driving for you so there is no such thing as torque steer.
