but keiichi has done street racing... and so i thought i can do underground before going pro... or at least in sanctioned events... there have been people who have gotten hurt on our roads but they are just being stupid. like during home coming last year... some dusch took his date to go drifting in his land rover... and flipped over the ledge, noone died but he suffered a broken arm and 2 broken ribs. his date got a few scratches, that's it.
well, i only introduced the gt5 thingy because of the rumors i heard and the acclamations by my friend who actually has it on his ps3. after he tried LFS, he calls it "tail happy and GTA-ish with some gimmicks such as suspension damage and clutch".
I just want to be clear that i just wanted to make sure that LFS is the best... but i am still testing RBR and NetKarPro along with a bunch of different sims...
If skepticism, curiosity and refusing to accept LFS right away is stupidity, then yes i am stupid in that aspect.
and yes, in retrospect, it is reckless to race in the snow on "touge"-like roads. even if i had AWD, but... no, i am a teen and i believe that i am immortal. unless: someone shoots me, or someone stabs me, or if someone hacks me up like in the beginning of scarface...yadda, yadda, yadda...
edit:
^damn... yes, what about rallying where anything can happen to you or your car? and by the looks of it, spectators too
i just think that they should include a simple skid plate under body on appropriate cars. but there should be suspension and parts visible around the skidplates...
if they can't add skid plates appropriately then yes, add the detailed bottom with suspension and drive train and such. standard for each car and if you won't be able to mod the cars then you shouldn't allow modding of the underbelly
It's called a bull bar on the front of my modded foreign compact car.
jk, it's actually very much stock, but i want to install a bull bar in front... like the cowcatchers on trains. and i can get past ice patches okey, just a month ago i raced someone in the snow, uphill AND downhill sections...
but @ doc, it is banned, but our team here is pretty good, the pigs are not as fast as us through corners, they don't have the teenage sense of immortality to bomb through corners...
...then again it's REALLY stupid that i am bragging about this online to defend my self...
well i just started because of it's popularity here... people race the roads here... the road is one lane, one road, and has an uphill and down hill section. so no chance of headon collision. and WHO THE HELL WALKS on MOUNTAIN ROADS at the dead of night?!?! if it's a hobo, it's okay, the dents will buff out....
i actually like the studio format better then the original top gear style(which fifth gear now adopts)... but i watch fifth gear when i want to watch a review of a car that top gear didn't do... like the new impreza!
i quote from the impreza review...
"bring on the next impreza!.... oh, dear!"-tiff
acutally, auto shift is not auto tranny, real autos "shift" by torque converter.
LFS gives you the option of "auto-shifting semi-auto" "auto-clutch semi auto" "full auto with padel shifters" or "full maual(if yo uhave a good wheel)"
but the thing is, none of the auto-clutching settings restrict you by disabling shifting or clutching, you CAN use the clutch or shifter anytime you want.
Meh, people who race amonst heavy traffic are retards. not as an offense or anything, but just because they totally neglect that they can get run over or smacked and rammed off the road by oncomming cars that most likely is bigger then them.
I do street racing but that's only because i have no money for the track and there is a long and mountinous road right outside my driveway, and there are no traffic whatsoever at 2 am. and i have been doing this long since before i got my license
Yes, i loved that top gear episode with the "small german cars", 10X10 i think.
Ascari would be a good choice since, if you are going to have only ONE real track why not have the best of a whole ton of tracks sewn together?
but i guess we can also make our own version of Ascari with as many features we can think of, and what about getting the top gear test track for the car park?
it is not, aero is prevalent in ALL auto racing sport. if it is then nascar is more embarrassingly simple then i thought because that would be just stripping everything out and looking at a skeleton of a race. which would and is god awfully BORING
