it is not, aero is prevalent in ALL auto racing sport. if it is then nascar is more embarrassingly simple then i thought because that would be just stripping everything out and looking at a skeleton of a race. which would and is god awfully BORING
yes, it is a close competition, one mistake and you would forced out of the front of the pack, there is stratigic usage of tailgating and downhills to pass people. but it seems like-no...
what am i saying is that, dispite all u said, it proves that nascar is boring. you sit and wait for moments, you stratigically place ur self in the pack, you bump stratigically yes, dispite what you all said, IT'S BORING! and you can do that in LFS with a bunch of people driving in a close pack around the track already. NASCAR is not about Aero, it's all about the oval and pack driving. I personally think this is all about attempting to drive faster then ever, but that's hella boring. Oval is crap, everything you said just strengthens my stand.
okey, you are neck to neck going 200mph, exciting but it doesn't seem like there is anything you can do about it since everyone is going the same direction and have the pedal to the metal, you are basically stuck in a traffic jam of the future
but seriously, dispite what y'all said, it made me faster in the RallyX races. but makes me slow on the gp track, i got beat on the straight by the civic looking car, i was driving the xrg
seriously, who makes fun of rallying? ralliests are not racing against themselves, they are racing against other ralliest's times. and it has the biggest following in the world.
actually, i tried GT5 Prologue at my friend's house, and the six axis is actually VERY analogue... with the triggers, having the same range of motion as the xbox trigs, and there is force feedback on those triggers... the brakes vibrate, but there was no rumble.
hey, yall, i just tested GT5 prologue demo at my friend's house yesterday...
it had the same GT feel, with new graphics.
turning- It was kinda heavy and easily skidding, but on the other hand you ARE going 170mph around a corner, whadoya expect? and no flippage of cars.
brakes- moderating on the brakes did not help me, i had to lock the brakes to prevent shooting off the edge of the asphalt. shows that locking brakes help the braking distance
accelerating- no sense of agony for faster speeds like you get in the older GT games. Very responsive accelerating.
damage- no brake fades, tire damage, or damage to speak of, a head on collision at 200mph doesn't look or feel as frightening as a head on in LFS at 70mph. You CAN, though, warm up your tires, but it never overheats. and for the matter, you can "slingshot" off of other players and foul them without serious consequences which makes it amazingly annoying since you will be off the road every other turn, because people use u as a brake...
Clutch- What Clutch? although Polyphony digital is promising a clutch with damage in the full GT release.
TCS- WTF??? i thought those where illegal in sanctioned races??? but you CAN turn them off, it won't help you much anyways. the difference is that you can corner about 35mph faster in a sweeper if you have everything turned on to full traction control system.
Graphics- no those things you see on the internet are not "bullshot" they are genuinly realstic graphics.
Conclusion- IDK, there was no real cars or cars i can get my hands on to compare performance modeling, although i think they nailed the fact that the GTR is heavy
idk if it's me or i think some people misunderstood me for saying you need to "superhuman digits" to use xbox cons. but i was talking about a con with 4 triggers...no such con...
the formula car is awsome, but i used XRT for rallying and it's fun. but the bmw makes it even harder. but i don't agree with you that XRT is bad, it's actually a cool car.
