Not so fast... My Toshiba has a max resolution of only 1280x1024 when I'm connecting my PC via VGA (or D-Sub like they call them now) whereas I'm writing this in Full HD via DVI/HDMI...
There certainly was some "if you don't like spending 13 dollars every month you're cheap" in this very thread just prior to/at launch, but that thankfully stopped...
That's it: don't skip the update process... It takes quite a while even for me, so it will take even longer for you... Let it finish and you will be able to register and play online...
Got that in the old patches plenty, the more open the diff the more prone the car is to do that when both driven wheels are locked... Someone once said it's the diff locking up - whatever that means...
I've had PLENTY of races without big wrecks and restart-fests... If the quality of racing didn't decline greatly over this year I can't follow you... On the other hand: I've had quite some issues with CTRA back when I visited them with hot-headed people who desperately tried to win to gain points - and those haven't invested a single dime nor had they any form of prize (money) to strive for...
DVI = HDMI without sound - there are no other differences apart from the connector layout... ATI packs a HDMI-adaptor to every new-ish card they sell, so all you need is a HDMI cable to connect it to your TV...
I use a Toshiba 37XV505D, no problems whatsoever... 37" with an LG panel - so it's an IPS panel - for under € 1000, you can't beat that with normal monitors...
There seems to be a general problem in comprehension lately...
I'll try explaining it so everybody understands:
When you shift gears in a normal H-gate box car in LfS, you either have to a) use the pedal/button assigned to the clutch, b) have the autoclutch engage the clutch for you or c) wait/play with the throttle until the revs are exactly matched for the next gear to be engaged...
Now in iRacing, you just select the next gear and it magically appears, no clutching or revmatching of any kind needed... This popped up not just here, but I've seen someone mentioning it on RSC as well...
Sure, it's not a make or brake-feature, but it makes you wonder how many other shortcuts have been taken that may not be as apparent, when supposedly so much is spent on details...
Yeah, and I can't play at all, because those retards forgot there are other controllers than gamepads... Henco Nico runs in circles because the pedals aren't in a center position... Forget mapping, two profiles for the 360 pad surely are what everybody needs... :banghead:
I don't know what the jump even does: First, it makes you slower because the player animation goes to an upright position - which costs you time -only to go back to crouching a splitsecond later... I've found I gain nothing - even lose time trying to use the jump... Additionally, the skier bounces quite a bit when landing using the jump...
I'm sorry, have you been playing a completely different version of LfS for the last 5 years? When were you able to shift into another gear without revmatching or using any form of clutch?
No... One is Xbox Live, the other Games for Windows Live... For some reason, Microsoft and others don't want to throw PC- and console gamers together... Maybe to not have to rethink their controller...
