TY for the nice comments.
That thing on the side of the transmission tunnel is an inner heater. Pretty much must have in Finnish winter. It is wired from the block heater, so when you put them on hour before drive, the engine isn't freezing cold and the inner heater has cleared the windows from ice and snow.

Gotta admit I didn't get the 928 joke?
Sapphire is the nickname for the 4-door Sierras yes. This is actually my fourth 3door Sierra, but first of the second generation. Well ok it's my fourth car, only have owned/own these.

My new daily driver. Sold the Cossie looker and bought something in little more original condition. '89 Sierra 1.6 (carburated Emax Pinto powah). It's quite mint in and out, little things here and there but pretty perfect for something I payed 600 euros. Quite the time machine actually, shame that the original radio/cassette player only worked for two days.
Pictures don't make justice, didn't have a change to photo it when it was all clean and shiny two weeks ago, but these have to do for now.

How does slow car count as a sleeper? Altho it looks like it could be made to be a very entertaining sleeper I give you that.

Yet another car getting ruined (esthetically) by the ugly ass Monster paint theme.
Oh well I guess it's still worth it.

Quote from Martinss :Almost forgot, that I have an S2 account, yesterday started to play LFS again, also readed lfsforum.net a bit, found some old threads where I was posting. Anyways, a little update on my car.

Images are clickable.

Also 2.0i pinto engine died, so 2.9i Cosworth it is.

Nice. Not too much us Sierra owners on this topic.
Clean looking car and I sure would like having a BOB in my daily runner.

Quote from Töki (HUN) :Well that sounds erm... interesting.

That's not a surprising sound at all. It's pretty much how a straight six with turbo and not much silencing in the exhaust sounds. Idle is bit of a burble burble, but should sound pretty mean when giving it beans.

Add lots of boost under the bonnet of that Amazon and you won't miss a good paint job.

That's pretty much what I was arguing against. If the weight balance difference is enough to make the car too oversteery the proper solution is to adjust suspension balance.

There are many kinds of cars with different weight distributions on racing (especially on old skool stuff) but they all can be worked to handle nicely.

And btw most RWD street cars from factory usually tend to be quite understeery on the handling, so making it more oversteery isn't usually that bad.

lol why would people be against making cars lighter on a car oriented forum?
Weight loss is a very good way of increasing performance (especially handling and braking).

If you have a problem with oversteer the solution is better suspension setup / tuning suspension accordingly, not applying weight.

If it's not a daily driver there is nothing wrong with stripping interior. I myself usually find the idea of a full interior in a performance oriented cars blatantly boring.

Ah had already forgotten that world is scheduled to end at 21st. My two week holiday should also start then, so I'm going to be seriously pissed if this forecast is accurate.

Yeah I realise that now. Kinda funny setting.

Oh and I just fell in love with this mod. Pushing the Lotus Cortina to it's limits is ultra fun.
Also Capri 3100 + Nordschleife = heavenly torturing.

I found the solution. lol. It was actually those settings, but the logic seemed a little reversed for me.

G-force simulation should be at zero, but the world movement should be at 100% and now the camera is static. I had set it at zero also, but after trying 100 it's fine now.

Yes (first thing I tried), it doesn't remove all of the "headphysics".

Anyone know if there is a way to 100% remove the head movement in cockpit view? I have tried fiddling around with the headphysics files, plr files and cam files, but I can't seem to be able to remove it fully.
Makes me feel a bit disconnected from the car.

Last summer I measured 13,5 l / 100 km (or 17.40 mpg for you non metric people).

I'm kinda proud actually.

Is there any proper online activity with GTR2 + Power & Glory mod? If so I might consider buying GTR2 for this mod.

I might wanna try this at some point, but I would like to know few things.
Is there any possibilities to customize the incar view? Meaning camera position, FOV, disabling virtual steeringwheel, decent virtual mirrors and disabling camera movement?
I know this isn't hardcore sim, but without any camera settings I don't think I'll be playing it for more than half an our before uninstalling.

My main problem with having a combined daily driver and hobby car was that you can't really build it properly. I used to have that problem, but not for some time anymore. Like P5YcHoM4N said weekend isn't just enough to do any big jobs (like building and tuning a decent engine).
Tho many people define hobby car differently so big jobs may not be required. I just never enjoyed doing stuff to the car I had to rely to be my transportation soon again.

Quote from doyal :Road Compliance, Fuel Economy, Comfort, Gadgets, Loudness.. There was quite a few reasons.

I mean, if I had to start work at 5am.. we live in a tiny private cul-de-sac, starting a non silenced sr20 and letting it run at cold idle was beyond a joke. I had to keep parking it away from the house on a main road.

Well, each to their own I guess. The car I'm currently driving to work requires me to wear ear protection.
Altho winter is coming and I have to prepare my more boring car for the daily commute.

I kinda understand why you swapped, maybe I wouldn't done it, but I also wouldn't have the "hobby car" and daily driver combined in one car.
