I could set up a server too.
Server info:
Location: Bulgaria.
2.6GHz, 2or3GB of RAM, 50mbps connection(outside of Bulgaria, it's normally 2-3-4 megabytes/s).
Thanks for decoding that.
I was wondering what would the word 'accept' do in that sentence of his, but then I saw your post and it all became clear.
@xtraction : Depends where you are racing. LFS shouldn't be serious at all. It should be fun. And that's what I get on any server(be it race, drift, cruise, or any other type of animal) - fun. If I don't get fun I usually seek for help from the Leave button.
@ru7 : Of course you can. I don't see any reason why would this be considered "sharing".
@Inuova : But don't forget that you are allowed to unlock LFS with the same account on several PCs to play LAN with friends or family... or even strangers if you like.
Well, I did not take pictures, because you wouldn't understand anything more from what I've said.
So, basically the problem is that since I got chrome(idk if it happens in other browsers, because I simply don't have such, except IE which I totally avoid to open) the join host links in the live alert window on lfsworld.net have stopped working(or at least most of them - when there are more hosts on the list some of them work, others don't).
Sorry if mentioned already, but I guess it hasn't been, since I have not seen such thread. And i did look(kinda :razz.
Well, that's pretty much it. My OS is win 7 if that matters too.
[E]:
I think that I just have found something interesting: It seems to me(not 100% sure yet but still), that the 'Join' button only works if the host's name is uncolored(or maybe at least it's 1st letter isn't). When I go over the Join button on an uncolored host, a link appears(you know, at the bottom of the Chrome window, and it shows what link you're about to open). And on colored - nothing - just the mouse cursor changes, but it does not react at all when clicked, and of course - no link on the bottom of Chrome.
Is this reproducable for anyone with the same settings? Win 7, Chrome. It could be the same on Vista and XP too, but I can't tell.
Well, it's also weird. Why did they park so close. And in that case the question then can be how did he get out lol... Like, did you have to wait for those cars to move?
Add what to the timeline?
Are you creating a new symbol for each link?
And, I even feel like it's pointless to ask, because I sure do hope that the answer will be no, but still: IF there is a background to the link, do you add it to the library each time you use it?
Poor people, that start saying stuff like "God bless you!" and all these god-related wishes, when you give them money. It just freaks me out. Dunno why. It's been like that all my life.
Won't be able to brake? Weird... I once turned off the engine while I was stopping, cause I was in kind of a rush. It just nailed the car right there. If it wasn't the seat belt I would've probably banged my head in the wheel.
In simple words - Turning off your car doesn't (turn off? disable?) the brakes. But the ABS does(ABS = Anti Block System iirc). The brakes themselves should never be disabled - Or if they are, then you've got a serious problem (unless you have a spare car, and haven't found out that the brakes are not working while you're moving... well... turning off the engine and switching to lower gears till u stop is also a solution, but it'll be better if you never have to experience it).
And, yes, imo TC should be an electronical system too. I'm not a pro or a person who knows these stuff or anything, but that's just where plain logic leads me.
Some of those are not cruise insim apps, but just bases. Anyway, they are useful if you want to make something different some day. Or if you want to make a cruise app with nothing but your own code(not counting the base you're using of course ;p).
Lapper/Airio is definitely the worst solution for such a small app.
LFS_External may be a big project too, but it's the smallest package you can get from the forums iirc. So, imo, go with that. Plus - it's pure C# => your knowledge will be useful in other C# projects as well. While with Airio or Lapper the language you will learn can be used only in those places. And as I already said - they are far too big for such a small application, like the one you want to make.
