Any Aussie who haven't preordered yet might want to take a look at this
EU Collectors Edition + 3 Stealth cars (787B, NSX Gt500, Mclaren F1) + GT Keyring and $15 off

No one else is doing a deal this good!

Quote from SAxor :I'm not really bothered with the low detail standards tbo, what worries me more is the lack of pace the AI has been showing in all these vids.

It depends on your level in the game. This race looked ok to me, with standard cars on Daytona road course, and Chris is a real life racer
Still fairly early in the game. American version of the Holden Monaro spotted at 0:48

More feedback from an iRacer - I'll see in a days time, as I still have 2 months of iRacing left to compare. Well I still don't like iRacing's current tyre model

Quote :wajdi1977
the standard cars in motion look very brilliant, now I can confirm that!
the engine sounds improvements are very noticeable
the slipstream,finally,very realistic
the physic,in my opinion, are very similar to iRacing
the feedback from the wheel(G27)is strong and gives a good sensations
Thanks PD,VERY GOOD JOB

Quote from speed1230 :They've got the co-drivers too!
Is it optional to use arrows as pacenotes instead of that annoying map in the middle of the screen?
Also, is that the Gran Turismo Rally Challenge?

You can use map, co-driver or both, I don't think there are arrows, but I could be wrong

It's the Rally events under special events section. Online rally will be like this as well, up to 16 people I believe, one after the other.

Quote from Boris Lozac :CoolCool, do you know if maybe i can download someone elses PSP save file, and transfer it to my PS3, or do i need a PSP with GTPSP to transfer the cars?

Don't know anything about PSP sorry. And they're mostly standard cars so I don't think you will like that

I heard the G25 is fully supported clutch wise, no need to press Triangle before a race anymore like in Prologue

Shelby Cobra at SS5 from the stream
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sGmutXuzNJY

On the direct feed stream there was a track creation on the Mount Aso theme track and it looks sweet! Big elevation changes can be had on it. And tight corners with max complexity. Excellent for drifting

Note there are only 4 sections here, and how complex the turns are

On the stream, the Mount Aso theme even with track width at maximum, is still fairly narrow and the turns still quite sharp

---

I watched one B-Spec race on a live stream and it's pretty cool, and different from GT4

There seems to be a cool down period for every command change. The driver does clean overtakes now if you hit the overtake button, but the faster you get him to drive and overtake, the more his temperament turns to the hot side, so he starts to become more mistake prone. Physical strength meter also decays faster. And vice versa, command him to drive slow and he remains cool and calm.

When the driver had low strength he got a lot slower and the other cars started to catch up and overtake him

Also the lower level B-Spec races are much longer than the low level A-Spec races, 6 laps vs 2-3 etc

I suspect the Shelby Cobra is a handful

Man it looks so crisp compared the vids we've seen so far!
I'm recording the stream into my PC for later viewing

Music is nice

edit - looks like he is doing the install as you go option

Quote from The Very End :Does the picture have standard cars in them, or are all premium?
Neverthless, there has not been a racing game with this great graphics before!

In the last pic, the Yellow RUF is a standard for sure, in fact most of the cars in that pack are standards

I don't know why they can't get the stock setup right.

Looks the same to me

In this video, I think the engine stalled at 2:05? He's using a G25 with manual clutch and H-shifter
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tgNSEifNq8I

I can hear the engine stop, he's already in neutral before this happened. My guess is he let the clutch in. And then the starter motor can be heard and the engine kick back into life.

BTW I think this guy actually races in real life in VLN

Quote from JJ72 :what troubles me isn't the steering speed, but the lack of body roll. Either the stock setup is too stiffly spring like in Forza (which is a minor problem) or the physics engine has some fundamental issues. (which is major)

The 300ZX here looks ok, leans and transfer weight

This guy has a whole bunch of videos - he's a wheel user
http://www.youtube.com/user/christheimperator#p/u

From the guy above
AI looks fine - as long as you don't gimp them by using super grippy tyres and set a low level like some people do
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zvrSPJxuck4

Quote :The physics are in my opinion really close to the one in IRacing. I have to say that i have no tried every single tyre compound yet, nor have i tried every single car on every track, nor have i modified any of the cars, since i only played Arcade mode!!!

The physics are a major step ahead, like real big! Its just so much more accurate and you really feel that you are in control of the car! In IRacing i run the MX5 alot at Laguna Seca and Lime Rock, and i must say Laguna Seca does look and FEEL laser scanned to me in GT5!!!!!!!!!!!!! I was so impressed! Also Fuji feels alot different from Fuji in GT5 P!

More Video are coming as we speak... just uploading them!

Im not home anymore but will be tomorrow and will do GT Life Video with commentary!

Please do not hate my commentary since i was in a Rush (gf was next to me

Yea i always heel and toe...

At one point i didnt heel and toe on purpose entire a turn and lost the rear quit badly cause the rear wheels locked up

Quote from Inouva :Looks like more a power slide that actual drift, plus the smoke quality sucks...

The smoke looks different to what was in the demos, it looked better before, but it lasts twice as long now, so I guess they tweaked it

Karts, on a kart track I guess
It's one of those course creator tracks I think

The transitions maybe quick due to pad useage, quick full lock etc. Wheel should be different. Can't you tell? The front wheel jitters around and returns to neutral really quickly.

An easy race at Tsukuba, I think it's an Mx-5
