Ah k, I've never remade the XRT scene but like crashgfate said it;'s probably the smoothing groups. I've pretty much used the pre made scenes which Ian fixed up with smoothing groups etc. Have yopu got a skyligth box above the car? It should reflect off the window. Why do you want a sky texture indoors? It makes it look cheesy and unrealistic imo.

Anyway, goto the Render menu and under Environment add a picture there.

PC froze at the start of qual and missed 10minutes, so only had a few laps and didn't do very well in traffic.

Had a fair share of knocks and gave some back in the races, turn 1 race 2 was mayhem, so much lag it wasn't funny car's flying everywhere I barely made my way through the tangled mess. Didn't end up in the points this week, dunno why I bothered to show up with only an hours practice before the race. Just couldn't find time for the little xfr, got some other leagues that took priority this week.

Hoping to be back on form next week for the finale.

kev I used biggies set with R3s on the front and it wasn;t too bad. Guys in Div 1 where running R2s! Dunno how since R3s were getting into the red wheh pushing hard.

Didn't experience hangs with previous version.

I was in a server at the game screen and everyone was readying up to start qualifying. When everyone was ready and the track should've been displayed lfs just hung at the screen it uses just before loading the start of a race. I couldn't alt-tab out or end task however windows was still running because I got little glimspes as it flashed around in the background when I tried to alt-tab and ctr-alt-del. Couldn't get anywhere so had to hard reset.

How long til we race. I'm confiused with daylight savings.

You've got something wierd happening on the hood too, windows are see through. cmX Importer?

Yes that's all good but it's the OP is saying it's a pain to drive a car with 720 of lock then swap to a SS and have 400 lock and have to change the settings in the profiler. It'd be good if lfs itself imposed a force feedback 'lock' at the appropriate amount of turn.

This doesn't bother me because I only use 270 for everything.

There really is no need for the cmx importer since you aleready have the pre made scenes. Why bother?

Look for brazil r/s version 1.2.66, it works with max9.

Configuracion de lineas would be AA and AF is flitro antisotropico. Which it looks like both are set to 8x. So it should be enabled in lfs, dunno why it's not working.

Clicking the K or B onyl works if you're hosting the game yourself. If you use a dedicated host then you need to use the /kick + /ban commands.

My early trials of LFS didn't have me convinced at first so I drove a lot on demo. probbaly 2 hours a day for a couple of months. When I tried S2 it only took 2 short weeks on demo to finally get my licence.

Noobtv, lfs tv director etc only work if you're on the server itself. They have custom camera positions instead of the fixed lfs cameras. Atm you can't watch a race in lfs directly unless you connect to the server. There are only other apps that can display info, but you won't actually get to the see the actual action.

For viewing the racing while offline you'll need to use a client that connects to the insim relay. The server you want to spectate also must be connected to the insim relay to broadcast the car positions etc.

There are two clients available that allow this, one is LFS Spectator and the other is Becky's new 3D Race Watcher. Becky's app is still in early stages and is a little rough, but it has an advantage that it displays the actual car skins and 3d models of the cars. For simplicity you can't go past LFS Spectator.

I recommend trying them both out as they're both very small downloads and seeing which one you prefer.

I think 999 is the limit so maybe lfs doesn't accept anything higher than that? I kept making the mistake of tryign to ban someone without adding a time and they also didn't get banned. I was scratching my head for a bit but came up with the same conclusion.

Those tweaks don't work for me. We are using tweak for patch V not Q.

DivX codec, defilerpak and media player classic. Can't go wrong. VLC is handy too.

I have about 10 tabs open in FF at once and I rarely close my browser. But the first site I usually check is this forum. Followed by my team forums. Followed by torrent sites to get my tv fix.

I'm not 100% sure but the same methods should apply to max5, I don't think that much has changed. I've used tutorials from max4 that worked fine with max7.

I've attached the cmx importer that works with max8. Place it in your ../max8/plugins/ folder

If skidmarks was made multiplayer and clipping was turned off for cars itd be heaps fun. More addictive than carribean cruise. haha humpty numpty

That race watcher looks impressive. Are those the actual skins the people on the server are using at the time?

edit: haha yes it is, wow thats really cool. but argh the mouse is inverted lol.
