Race statistics / RTFR .mpr folder / Event rating and other statistics (will be updated later this week)

This tuesday in RTSR (Rony's Tuesday's Slow Race)... Despite some assumptions, this wasn't even close to be slowest RTFR ever as with average speed of 86km/h yesterday's race was 12km/h faster than 86th RTFR,run with UF1 at Fern Bay's smaller rallycross track. In total there have been 5 RTFR races with slower average speed, unsurprisingly 3 of those were run with slowest LFS' standard car UF1,other 2 - with XRG and MRT each. Also this was the 2nd ever RTFR's visit on South City's Sprint 2 configuration, however the other race was run in other direction,so the series is still discovering new standard tracks. With quite little space around and low speeds, this was pretty much a crowded race where multiple cars were trying to go for same real estate spot, causing plenty of paint trading, still there were no noticable complaints between drivers.

R.Kardol got used to this car well, being the fastest in qualifying just shy of rumored track record (unfortunatelly no readable data with this mod in Airio) set in practice, scoring his 16th and Netherland's 20th pole position. He used his advantage of best starting position well to lead all 35 laps and score his 18th RTFR race win, rounding also in this stat his country's win count to 20. Additionally it was the dutchman's 78th top5 finish. If some struggled with this car,it was the best result ever for others - Doni finished 2nd yesterday, improving his personal best finishing position by 1,while during the race he set his 1st ever fastest lap of the race, additionally scoring also his 15th top5 finish. Arska was one of 3 drivers to finish in same position they started from - the finn took 3rd position in both qualifying and race, which is his 21st top5 finish. Fnatic finished 4th scoring his 4th top5 finish,Three Jump repeated his personal best finishing position 5th for the 2nd time, while improved his best qualifying result by 3 positions as he was 2nd best in the session.

Next week RGE will return to South City with a colorful cars field - the 7th round of RandomCar 2023 series will be run in the longest standard configuration. In 2 weeks time RTFR will start the 2nd scored season of this year with 1st round of 10,run with one of the slick tyre cars. But in 3 weeks time RTFR XL will visit the Layout Square for the 1st time ever - the combo for this race has been submitted and it will be a GT4 version of N.400S run in S1dusring. This combo will be set up for laptime testing soon in RTFR server!

RandomCar's lineup has been joined by another version of the XF chassis - the all wheel drive XF GARIS,which is the first 3-cylinder car in the cars list. Even if the car did not receive a lot of votes in previous voting and ended up in tied 4th position,it was nominated by winner of previous race and won the voting by big margin. The initial balancing for this car is 7% air restriction.

With this addition the cars list has reached 25 cars - organization has decided to reduce the frequency of new cars additions to half, meaning that there will be voting for a new car only after every 2nd race, while it will feature nominations of both race winners. This has been decided due 2 factors - competitional factor in manufacturers championship (the more cars, the higher the chance that some cars will not be drawn) and selection factor as it was more and more difficult to find quality candidates.

* PENALTIES :
ZFRL•Thehemuli - receives 5.18 seconds penalty added to his finish time for minimum pit time violation.
[WCL] P.Koivunen - receives 18.77 seconds penalty added to his finish time for minimum pit time violation.

ADDITIONAL NOTE: Even at this point this is aimed at certain individual,it also counts to everyone - if you have absolutelly no intention to finish the race,PLEASE DO NOT START IT! It is unfair to other drivers who practiced hard and are interested to achieve a good result if someone just joins, goes for agressive moves in first few laps, impacts race progress of others in negative way and then just leaves as they had their "fun" in field of cars without caring about main goal of a race - finishing it. If this behaviour will continue, organisation will be forced to deny entry of these individuals.

- - - - - - - - - -

According to LFSW chart of car usage the finnish made real world car Raceabout is the least used default car of LFS,having completed just half of the lapcount online than the 2nd least used car FZ5 and 46 times less than the most popular car XFG. Despite that this race had repeated highest attendace in the past 14 RTFR XL races with 31 drivers qualifying and the attendance will put RAC in 5th position in most attended cars chart of RTFR XL. As seen on broadcast the race for win did not really had any intrigue, but there were plenty of position disputes through the field,so it was deffinitelly not a boring race for many drivers.

When looking at current 2023 standings one might think R.Kardol is dominating the season, but in the 1st half of it he is still winless despite being 2nd most winningest driver in RTFR XL history. The race this week finally ended his dry streak - qualifying was very close, but still brough the dutchmen his 9th pole position in RTFR XL,while in the race his opponents made their own lives difficult and left R.Kardol lead 27 laps on his way to the 1st victory lane visit of this year. In total it is his 11th RTFR XL race win, with this tying his teammate Botsi for most all time wins, while his 12th fastest lap of the race just extended his lead in the chart, just like his 40th top5 finish. Trespasser qualified just 0.12 seconds off polesitters time, still it was just 4th position on grid, but the lithuanian upgraded it to 2nd place finish in his 1st RTFR XL race. Unite started 3rd and finished 3rd with his early pitstop strategy, scoring his 21st top5 finish. Ayoub Maroc led 11 laps on the pitstops shuffle increasing his total to 15 in RTFR XL,but finished just 4th to score 4th top5 finish,5th was another B2R member - Twincam repeated his best RTFR XL finishing result, doubling his top5 count.

* FUN FACT OF THE MONTH :
It is the 2nd 2-race winning streak with a specific car for R.Kardol, the other one is also with one of the LRF class cars - LX6. Both of these streaks are still alive and have a potential to tie or even beat Botsi's 3-race winning streak he achieved with UF1,which was ended by R.Kardol (Botsi finished 5th in the race that ended his streak).

* CLOCK PITTER OF THE RACE :
With normal consumption this race required around 108% of a fuel tank, meaning it's not possible to complete the race without additional resources, still there was a single driver, who finished full race distance without pitwork running the race in eco-mode - that alone makes him clock pitter of the race as Michal just stopped in pits for 10.18 seconds. There was one shorter legal pitstop - 10.13 seconds, but S.Martin did refuel the car.

* FIELD RUSHER OF THE RACE :
Three kids in trenchcoat started the race from 19th position, but were classified 10th in results - that's a progress of 9 positions, highest number between all in the results.

VOD at Youtube:

The winner still has not submitted his choice for next RTFR XL race, scheduled in 4 weeks,so there is not much information about next 4 tuesdays, but still we can provide some basics - next tusday it's time for normal RTFR,which will have it's 3rd and last off-season race,as per schedule it will be a road legal cars race, more info will be known only on coming weekend. The tuesday after next is RandomCar tuesday, again 2 parameters are known about this race - the track is South City City Long in reversed direction and the cars will be drawn out of pool of 25 PL200 class cars. The 3rd tuesday from now will be the start of 2023 season 2,running one of the slick tyre cars - with this the SimBroadcasts live promotion of the event will restart for the next 10 RTFR races counting towards 2023 S2 standings.

This is all you can get in LFS: https://www.lfs.net/contents
Additionally as user created content there are vehicle mods: https://www.lfs.net/files/vehmods and using existing environments it is possible to build own tracks using layout editor (you can try it in Autocross environment in shift+U mode) - however a proper racetrack with elevation and trackside objects is not possible with it.
So there is no Nurburgring in LFS.

Pitting rules:
Race requires a minimum time spent in pitstall of 10 seconds. That can be done either with single pitstop or sum of multiple pitstops. Driver who has spent less time will receive penalty time added to his finish time, which will be calculated by tripling the missing time to complete neccesary minimum time and adding additional 5 seconds. Drivers failing to pit at all will receive 1 minute penalty added to finish time (10s*3 + additional 30s).

Some historic stats:
Last race won by: B2マ Mantas - 2 wins in row for Lithuania
Last RAC race won by: S1DUS*R.Kardol (59th RTFR XL - KY GP Long Rev.)
Most RAC race wins: 2 races,2 different winners (2 different countries)
Last Aston race won by: S1DUS*GáboR (75th RTFR XL - UF1 @ AS Cadet)
Most Aston race wins: L.Paddewwa & S1DUS*Botsi & [WCL] True Alpha - 2 wins (Finland - 6 wins)
Current rating leader: S1DUS*R.Kardol (+64.5 points)

2023 standings after 6 of 12 races (best 10 scores count):
S1DUS*R.Kardol - 126
S1DUS*GáboR - 81
RGˆRony - 70

Race statistics / RTFR .mpr folder / Event rating and other statistics (will be updated later this week)

This race was a 2nd in row in 2 ways - for the 2nd day in row Race Green Events hosted a race with classic racing cars from a specific era and also for the 2nd RTFR in row there was a race with a classic car on an appropriate racetrack. Yesterday it was a sports car class car on an endurance type racetrack - a 9.9 kilometer long fusion of both standard Kyoto road courses. The car itself was quite a challenge - pretty much a death trap consisting of steel tubes clothed in glass fibre, bringing together just over 600kg weight, while the big V8 engine delivered over 700 horsepower. The challenge was so big, some even opted to reduce engine power with restrictor for higher stability of their performance.

Just like last summer in the experimental RTFR-CCCC series, also this year the win with the McLarry was taken by Gábor, however the win this time did not come as "easy",even if the margin of victory was 14 seconds - he got in lead not only with his pace, but also due mistakes of competition, taking race lead only with 2 laps to go. With this the hungarian celebrated his 22nd RTFR race win, adding also the 17th fastest lap of the race and 47th top5 finish, tying Merenui for 5th most of those. Unite was the fastest in qualifying and scored his 10th pole position, however he did not led a single lap, being a chaser for whole race, eventually climbing up to 2nd position - that's his 72nd top5 finish. Mantas started from outside of front row, took the race lead on lap 4 spending a total of half of the race in the lead, but last 2 laps brought him loss of 2 positions and the lithuanian finished 3rd - that's his 8th top5 finish. 4th was the event organizer himself, scoring his 1st top5 finish since 236th RTFR back in 2020 september,85th top5 finish in total. Top5 was closed by P.Koivunen, who scored his 5th top5 finish.

Next week on the menu is another challenge - the midengined Raceabout is set to be run in the very fast configuration of Aston National, the race is 38 laps long and as always will require 10 seconds pitstop. 2 weeks later the RTFR will have the last "off-season" race, which will be run with one of the street legal cars,as always full info will be posted on the weekend before it.

And after you have explored, what then? Next thread about new needs of updates?
LFS has a lot to offer already - there are plenty of racing events happening almost every day (seeing you joining RandomCar for a single round and not returning as you were not competitive tells me that's not your cup of tea however).
I'm sure slow drivers and figure skaters can offer also something to do,but anyway - if you get bored so quickly after less than 3 years, the new update will not please you for a long time anyway.

I'm more curious - what do you expect from the upcoming new update that will suddenly blow your mind and make LFS not boring? Just because the shadows are more realistic and lighting can change from day to night and back will LFS suddenly become so much more interesting for you? Please, clear this up...

The proportions of the car look wrong,so I took a measurement - the model currently is just 1.55m wide, that's 16cm less than actual Astra of that generation. I did not took any measurments of length or height though.

First thing - what you see in F12 menu is NOT live reading of tyres data,it's pit instructions what pressure should be set up during next pitstop.
Second thing - not sure if you have been sleeping for past ?? years, but tyre physics are being reworked, unfortunatelly it's not going as fast as most of us could wish, but still I'm sure Scawen has taken all aspects into account, including pressure increase due temperature rise.

6th round was run on the 1st custom racetrack in the short history of this league - the circuit was checked and found to be usable even if bringing it's own challenges, these seemed to be a problem for many as the round marked lowest ever attendance in the 6 rounds of this series. Still 19 cars were on grid ready to tackle the course and fight for better positions,2 retired before reaching points scoring distance.

The standings leader got drawn the only mid-engined all wheel drive car and led all 11 laps to finish 1st for the first time in this league, taking also all bonus points for both pole position and fastest lap of the race. The 3-time polesitter Mantas qualified 3rd for 2nd race in row and since 2nd place qualifier did not start, got promoted to front row with his Talot - also a position that did not change between start and finish. Nosle got the finnish made Raceabout for this race and was 5th in qualifying, improving the position in finish to 3rd place - 1st podium finish for the driver representing Luxembourg.

If standings leader scores most points in the round,it's clear that his advantage grows - before this round he was just 4 points ahead of Fast, who did not attend this round, now 2nd place is taken by Nosle, who is already 20 points behind leader, closelly followed by his rival through most of the season RD2,who is still 3rd,now 22 points behind lead.

There is a lead change in teams championship - after a successful round Born to Race overtook S1dus and now leads by 2 points with 4 rounds to go in series. RGA is still 3rd with 16 points gap to new leaders. No changes however in nations championship - Lithuania keeps running away, extending it's lead to 87 points over Finland, which is also running away from rest of the nations. The Nosle/RD2 battle is also in nations championship visible - the Luxembourg and Bulgaria has it's battle for 3rd place in standings. In manufacturers championship URC1 still leads despite the only driver who got this car drawn not attending, the midengined version of XF chassis is still 2nd and FXO still 3rd,but now with equal points count.

Imprezzive is still the most drawn car,but not tied anymore - the 4wd coupe has been drawn 23 times through 6 rounds,Talot is 2nd most with 21 draws,URC1 dropped down from tied lead to 3rd being the only other car with 20 or more draws. And the latest car draw drew same car for the 3rd time for 2 other drivers - RD2 got the URC1 3 times already, now Fast got the RB4 and T.Soini got the Imprezzive for the 3rd time, while there are plenty of drivers who got same car twice through the season, most noticable is mr.M@CI3K who got 2 cars drwan twice. This track produced the lowest average speed on the series - with just 105km/h the latest race was 8km/h slower than the previous slowest race at South City and 13km/h slower than average through the season.

7th round, scheduled in 4 weeks, will bring us back to South City's longest configuration, but unlike round 2,it will be run in reversed direction. Lapcount however will be the same - 17,but seeing the trend in WR tables, the average race speed is expected to be a bit lower. But next tuesday in RTFR another off-season race will feature another tough challenge, more information will be posted in the weekend as always.

After proper testing session best possible laptime has been found to be under 3 minutes, which means race distance has to be increased from 10 to 11 laps (as per rules - minimum lapcount to exceed 30 minutes)!
