Just before season opener there are another 2 updates to cars lineup.

BAVARIA A34 N POWER has been updated, gaining some weight, but not enought power to keep it on same performance level, therefor the restrictor has beed reduced by a single percent - new balancing restrictor is 4%.

MZ-S ROADSTER won the voting held in our Discord server and is now the 42nd car in RandomCar cars line up. The lightweight roadster does not have much power (it's the 3rd car with power below 200hp),but compensates the lack with great agility. The car will start it's journey with additional weight of 150kg.

Race statistics / RTFR .mpr folder / Event rating and other statistics (will be updated later this week)

FXO is well known for it's trait to overload and torture it's front wheel tyres - it has plenty of power and if both acceleration and steering goes through one pair of tyres,it's unavoidable to have some overheating problems. Many complained and yet this was the most attended RTFR round between the past 11 events, however to see higher finishers count than this week's 34,you have to scroll history data all the way up to 279th RTFR,held on april 2022.

The winner of past 3 RTFR FXO races was practically unchallenged also this week - R.Kardol was the only driver to beat 1:55 laptime mark in qualifying and came very close to do that also in race, leading all 17 laps on the way to his 1st ever RTFR win in Rockingham,24th overall. Additionally he scored his 21st pole position,17th fastest lap of the race,by completing the 1st lap of the race he led the 500th lap in RTFR (3rd most) and by finishing he also reached the 100th RTFR top5 finish from his 125 race starts. The driver with 2nd most top5 finishes added the 92nd of those to his stats - Unite started and finished 2nd. The driver, who is winning plenty of races latelly and before this one had 2 race winning streak, found his foe in this car - Gábor had to work hard to keep the 3rd position his and score his 74th top5 finish. Twincam was the one to challenge the hungarian driver, but eventually had to settle for 4th place finish, scoring his 7th top5 finish - all 4 top finishers finished in same position they started. The only difference between qualifying and race top5 is Thehemuli, who started just 10th,but found way to score his 17th top5 finish.

VOD at Youtube:

Next tuesday RTFR will be traded for RandomCar - the new season of mixed cars racing will start in South City, full round information will be posted during the weekend. In 2 weeks RTFR will return with one of the slick tyres car, some details about combo were announced during broadcast, while in 3 weeks RTFR XL will feature relativelly classic LFS combo with FO8 at Kyoto.

With 10 kilometers lap length, this was the longest ever circuit in AWS history, but it was not the deciding factor why drivers needed to save some energy of their batteries to complete the race distance,it was simply the restriction of the car - being a race car it should still be relativelly light to be agile,so it cannot carry too much of batteries around. As 2 years before,RGE again opted for 2 race format for a round using electric car, adding a bit more intensity with 2 starts, but also giving 2nd chance of good result if something went wrong with 1st try. The concept of this combo seemed to be quite attractive in comparision as this round set the highest attendance of the season.

The championship leader Dzidoris wasn't as fast as earlier in the season in qualifying as he set only the 3rd fastest laptime in what felt to be very short 20 minutes session, however he still managed to find his way to race lead in each first lap and led all 10 laps of the round to score his 3rd round win of the season. His teammate and also main rival for championship Falcon qualified a position lower and also found in each race 2 positions progress to finish 2nd in both races and also in overall result, finishing 6 seconds behind in total result. The defending champion Sobis did not had a good first race, finishing 4th with 18 seconds gap,but still set the fastest lap of it,however his 2nd race was much better and he finished on podium in both 2nd race and overall round results.

None of the 2 standings leaders scored a bonus point in this round,so the earned points gap is just 2 - that's now the new gap in standings between leading Dzidoris and chasing Falcon. The defending champion Sobis is still 3rd,but now already 18 points behind leader. With the high performance of leaders, this round eliminated majority of competitors from title chances as only the top5 are now still mathematically eligible for drivers championship, however realistically it seems to end as a duel between season long rivals.

As the only round using electric car, this round was not part of any minor championships, but in race for rookie of the year award we have a competition - current leader Cyk lost 5 points of his lead and has 7 points gap over Madjester, who also scored a bonus point for pole position in this round. No other rookies took part once again, however the award is still open for everyone who would join the league for the first time.

With 2 of their drivers battling out for championship, the defending teams champions were running away from competition right from the start of the season, now their advantage has exceeded the points count where the gap is enough - Race Green Autosports are already teams champions with 2 rounds still left to run, clinching the 3rd title in row and 8th overall. 2nd place is still open for decision, currently Yes Motorsports leads Zafiralis by 5 points - bringing in series 2nd driver would be decisive for either of the teams. In nations cup standings it's the 5-time champions Lithuania, which is running away from competition and they're currently 1 round short to secure the title. Unless defending champions Finland heavily upgrades their performance and/or Canada brings 2nd top performing driver in the play - that's the only chance for title for the north american country,no other countries are eligible for the title anymore.

To set things up for season finale, the penultimate round brings the most unpredictible race - Winter 200 has been in schedule in each AWS season, this year as round 5 from 6 the drivers will have to cooperate with their friends and rivals for better result in the race. Risky bumpdrafting or very effective slingshot drafting are the 2 options, history however favours the risky drivers when it comes to race win, where occasionally one of the involved drivers suffers with many positions loss due some error.

Round 4

Sunday, 2nd February
17:30 UTC / 18:30 CET / 19:30 EET

After shortest lap in the schedule comes the longest one - the over 10 kilometers long Westhschleifenring is the venue for 4th round of the season. Even if being just a shortened version of Westschleife configuration,it's still quite a long challenge, requiring more than 4 minutes to complete a lap in the recently updated AWS own electric version of XFR. After 1 season break,an electric car returns to AWS and brings back a 2 race round as the cars simply cannot be run for normal nominal race length of AWS of 40 minutes. Even that brings a energy conserving challenge as car's energy reserves are around half a lap short of the 5 laps of full power racing, adding additional factor for the racers. As usually the 2 race format will result in a single result as results of both races will be summed together.

After half of the season there are 2 rather distinct leaders in table with 2 others still within one round striking distance - after this round first few ineligible drivers will be sorted out of chances for championship while for all contenders it's time to step up the performance if they want to have good chances.

Round info:
Track: WE Westschleifenring 2024 (WE1Y)
Laps: 2 x 5 laps (2 x 53km)
Car: XF EGTR-RX AWS SPEC
Previous winners : S1DUS*uNite (2024 / RB4), A.Valta (2023 / RB4), LLM.V Laguckas (2022, 2019 & 2017 / RB4), S1DUS*R.Kardol (2021 / RB4), RGˆDzidoris (2020 / RB4), B2マ FasT (2018 / RB4)

Race statistics / RTFR XL .mpr folder / Event rating and other statistics (will be updated during the week)

* PENALTIES :
kyr1l? - receives 10 seconds penalty added to his finish time for pit exit line violation.
SGマ MadJester - receives 10 seconds penalty added to his finish time for pit exit line violation.
W/ jordan - receives 10.85 seconds penalty added to his finish time for minimum pit time violation.

- - - - - - - - - -

The new season of RTFR XL started with a car many did not like when starting the testing, but it still produced intense racing in the shorter configuration of Westhill. Even if the racing calmed down in the 2nd half of the race, lacking experience with car cought quite few drivers with tyre wear estimation - many underestimated the car's impact on it's rubber layer and needed to pit for 2nd time to put a new set on,in many cases already after blown tyre[s].

The second paragraph of the sum up of race is starting to get very repetitive - for the 4th time the same driver is fastest in both qualifying and race, including the fastest lap of the race. Gábor put himself into stats recordings as the 3rd driver to win 4 RTFR XL races in row, tying the record originally set by L.Paddewwa and repeated by M less than a year ago. Even if at one point of the race it looked like the streak will be ended, the other front row starter Jordan made a crucial mistake by destroying a tyre with 5 laps to go while being in lead, but since he made an error in pitlane by making too short pitlane,he decided simply to quit without trying to recover... Gábor however nursed his tyres with paper thin thread during the last few laps and crossed the finish line as race winner, adding 14th race win,16th pole position,15th fastest lap of the race and 24th top5 finish to his stats, additionally scoring also the 20th pole position for Hungary. As a great example how close at the end everything was, winners teammate reduced the big lead to just over 3 secods over finish line - R.Kardol finished 2nd,scoring his 53rd top5 finish. Dodislaw joined the XL version of RTFR just for the 3rd time and set new personal bests - 4th place in qualifying already was an improvement of 5 positions, however finish result was an improvement of 8 positions as he finished 3rd compared to 11th he achieved 3 races ago. 2 drivers got promoted up a position due other driver's penaly - Jsk is scored 4th,which is a repeat of the better of his 2 previous top5 finishes,Falcon is 5th in results to score his 4th top5 finish.

* FUN FACT OF THE MONTH :
GTR class cars seems to be the most popular in RTFR XL - with official attendance number of 36,the Fund Mutsand GT3 ties other GT3 car for 2nd position in most attended cars chart. Now 7 of top8 cars in this chart belongs to various GTR classes and 3 of top5 - to GT3,however only XRR in 8th position has been raced twice.

* CLOCK PITTER OF THE RACE :
Some drivers finished the race on same set of tyres, some without refuelling, but neither managed to do both - every pitstop had some work in it,the shortest this time was Hachiroku's pitstop where he refuelled the car for 10.08 seconds. In all fairness - the driver however retired after crash, caused by tyre failure with less than 4 laps to go. Shortest pitstop between drivers who finished the race was Hermanni's 11.54 seconds, but also he did not complete full race distance as he was lapped 3 times. Between drivers who completed full race distance,3 managed to clock identical 13.18 seconds pitstop by changing all 4 tyres.

* FIELD RUSHER OF THE RACE :
Low qualifying result many times has been helpful to get mentioned here, same happened also this week as tbug started from 33rd position and finished 14th to make a gain of 19 positions.

VOD at Youtube:

Top2 drivers from this race are locked out from selecting combo for next race (Gábor is still on winning streak,R.Kardol selected this combo),so the selection has been relayed to 3rd place finisher. And the decision has been already made - in 4 weeks the 98th RTFR XL will feature currently 3rd least popular car in series - Formula V8,which will be visiting Kyoto for the 3rd time in it's 6th appearance (most between all single seater cars),running the race in Kyoto's GP Track in reversed direction with race featuring 39 laps. Until then RGE will feature several other races - already this weekend AWS round 4 will be run with an electric version of LFS's XFR around Westschleifenring, full information of the round will be posted later this evening. 2 days later in tuesday RTFR will return with one of the street legal cars. Then in the week after than 2 different events will be run - the brand new World Rally Cup on monday and RandomCar on tuesday, where both are season opener rounds.

Not sure if the cross pattern is a good idea, however ability to select tyre type/compound on each wheel individually could bring benefits on specific tracks and/or cars.

The attached RTFR promo skin is public and free for use.

Regarding skin I would like to make an suggestion for future mods (what's done,is done,no need to change) - please don't map different panels so close to each other, leave some space between them. In skin template of this car there are several places, where 1 pixel to the wrong side and you're already painting a stripe on different part of car. It's better to have 5% smaller logos on skin file than torture with pushing each pixel correct while on lower resolution skin it will look not well made anyway - if someone desperatelly wants to have super high quality skin,he can still make a 4K resolution.

Between seasons there have been several changes in cars lineup and balancing:

ADDA AR-EIGHT V10 could not keep up with other cars,so it's restrictor has been reduced by 1% - new restrictor is 36% for the high performace sports car.
CAMMERA 730 TURBO with it's low drag is still pulling on straights away from everyone,so it needs to be tamed a bit - +1% air restriction to reach 12%.
FRAUD 040 still hasn't shown any signs of competitivity,so it's restriction is reduced by 1%,the new balancing is 18% + 180kg.
GT-V34 MINE9 also struggles to keep up with competition,so it's 10kg weight ballast has been removed and the car is balanced only by the max possible air restriction of 50%.
NORTZ XRT2 V6 BITURBO 2023 has been performing strong latelly,so it received an additional 1% of air restrictor,18% is the new needed value.
TALOT SUNS LOMIS also has been performing well,so it also gets an extra 1% restrictor,it's new balancing is 11% +102kg.

2 cars have left the RandomCar lineup, each for different reasons:

BZ30 ROADSTER has been changed by mod creator as an optimization between several versions of the chassis - it has become a base version with much less power, therefor not competitive in PL200 class anymore. As a possible replacement the BZ30 ROADSTER SPORT is listed as candidate, however it has to go through voting to be added.
IMPREZZIVE C8 "won" the voting for most unpopular car between seasons (voting planned to be held between each season),so it has been retired from RandomCar,allthough theoretically it still can be nominated for voting to be added back again.

Currently a season interval voting is being held for addition of new car - 5 candidate cars are listed and the winner of voting will become on next sunday the 42nd car in RandomCar series that will start season in just over 2 weeks time. If you want to cast your vote, please join Race Green discord server and do so in RandomCar-voting channel!

NOTE ABOUT RACE DISTANCE:
Due lack of activity in laptime testing in past for the custom combos,it has been decided to give an estimated lapcount in information. The actual lapcount will be announced after qualifying as it will be calculated using fastest laptime in qualifying (same rule as always - minumum lapcount to exceed 75 minutes).

Server will be password protected 1 hour before qualifying start to keep not knowing crowded server jumpers out of way, pass will be always the same: green

Pitting rules:
Race requires a minimum time spent in pitstall of 10 seconds. That can be done either with single pitstop or sum of multiple pitstops. Driver who has spent less time will receive penalty time added to his finish time, which will be calculated by tripling the missing time to complete neccesary minimum time and adding additional 5 seconds. Drivers failing to pit at all will receive 1 minute penalty added to finish time (10s*3 + additional 30s).

Some historic stats:
Last race won by: S1DUS*GáboR - 3 wins in row
Last FUND MUTSAND GT3 race won by: 1st race with this car
Last Westhill race won by: B2マ M (86th RTFR XL - PROTECH 92 GT3 @ WE International rev.)

Race statistics / RTFR .mpr folder / Event rating and other statistics (will be updated later this week)

Once in a while RTFR offers something a bit more difficult and this tuesday the challenge was a ridiculously fast car in a lower grade track - Fern Bay. This race was all about consistency in fast paced race, where each smaller mistake could turn into quite a disaster and racing close together with others just increased the chances for disaster to happen. 24 drivers started the race and we lost almost 40% of them due retirements of different kinds during the first 9 laps, however the remaining 15 drivers kept running to finish the 32 laps race,or for most - 31 laps race, some even one less.

With a record of 2 wins out of past 2 races run with the BF1,Gábor entered this race as main favourite, clocking the fastest lap in qualifying to score his 37th RTFR pole position - that was just a start of his success this tuesday as he led every single of the 32 laps during the race, tying Botsi for all time most laps led count already after 1st one and overtaking him after completing 2nd. With this he scored the 40th RTFR race win, taking also the fastest lap of the race home - his 37th,adding also 73rd top5 finish to his stats. Suforr tried to challenge for pole position as he set a laptime just 1 hundreth away from pole position time, earning his 1st ever RTFR front row start (previous best was 3rd position in qualifying),however he lost a position early on just to regain it later - also the 2nd place finish is his best ever result, improvement by a position and 4th top5 finish overall. Thehemuli had some struggles early on,however found pace later and even tried to catch 2nd position, but simply run out of laps and finished 3rd,scoring his 16th top5 finish. Also R.Kardol had some positions regaining to do and finished 4th and last on lead lap to score his 99th top5 finish, while another RK finished 5th just behind race winner to score his 87th top5 finish, first after more than one year break.

VOD at Youtube:

Next week RTFR XL season will start in Westhill runnning a GT3 car - let's hope it does not start with a bang the year 2024 started in RTFR with another GT3 car, full information about the event will be posted tomorrow. Normal RTFR will return for round 3 of the season in 2 weeks time, which car and where can be found out when watching broadcast recording. However in 3 weeks time the RTFR server will feature a field of many different cars, randomly assigned to drivers - also RandomCar official season will be finally started!

(browse for various championships and single round results)

100 laps in less than 37 minutes - that's rate not seen much, but in AWS that's nothing extreme as this was the 5th series visit to the short 600 meters oval. Even if the Imprezzive cannot get close to FXR's pace set in 2022 (best lap 20.26s),the racing was still very fast paced and not many were able to keep the consistent pace through the whole race, resulting in plenty of position swaps between start and finish as only 2 drivers finished in same position they started from.

One of these drivers was Falcon, who broke the 22 seconds laptime mark in qualifying, marking himself as top candidate for win. The canadian led every single meter of the 60 kilometers race - already from green lights he started to ease away from competition and never had to fight direct battles for race win, setting also fastest lap of the race with 14 laps left, with this he joins the list of AWS race winners as this was the first one for him. The defending AWS champion Sobis proved his experience in this specific track and found 2 positions to gain during the race to finish 2nd,during the late phase of the race decreasing the gap to leader to 2.3 seconds - the lithuanian is the first and only non-RGA driver to finish on podium during the 1st half of the season. The current standings leader Dzidoris qualified 2nd besides his main rival for championship, but struggled during the race, eventually rescuing 3rd place finish.

With these results the race for championship has returned to square 1 for both main candidates - Dzidoris and Falcon reached a tie in points count, however the lithuanian is ahead on tiebreaker (2 wins against 1),the new 3rd place in table is now the defending champion Sobis with 14 points gap.

After 2 rounds the Cross challenge standings are now led by Falcon, who is 2 points ahead of Dzidoris,3rd also here is Sobis, who also here is the defending champion with 9 points gap to leader. 3rd and final round for this award is the season finale in Fern Bay. This was also the 1st of 2 rounds for Oval trophy, where Falcon takes the lead by 4 points over Sobis, with Dzidoris in 3rd another 2 points behind. This award will be decided in round 5 in Kyoto oval. With another 4 points scored,Cyk extends his lead in Rookie of the year standings, closest rival however has changed - Madjester is currently 2nd best rookie in the series,12 points apart in table.

Despite not sweeping the podium for the 1st time in season,RGA keeps pulling away from competition with big steps and now reaches 61 points gap over Yes Motorsports, which is closelly followed by Zafiralis. Also Lithuania has set another big step towards Nations cup win as their drivers extended the lead to 32 points over defending champions Finland, which is just a point ahead of 3rd placed nation Canada.

The next round will be run in a much bigger circle in Westhill - the Westhill Street Cup will bring back the recently updated electric AWD version of XFR. The car has received more realistic aerodynamics and better suspension, making it ready for it's first assignment on fully paved surface - the 10.6 kilometers long Westschleifenring. This round will add another element to racing - it will feature 2 races each 5 laps long, however car's energy reserves allow only around 4 and a half laps of full power racing,so it will be needed to save some of it.

Round 3

Sunday, 19th January
17:30 UTC / 18:30 CET / 19:30 EET

Circuit racing is always about driving in circles, occasionally the circles are shorter and have more circular form than most and this sunday it will be the case in AWS - we're gonna race 100 very short circles around the 600 meter dirt oval, layed out in infield of Westhill's International circuit. This will be the 5th AWS race in this short track oval, however for the first time it will be run with the 345 horsepower Imprezzive B2,which in restricted form is known from RandomCar. In pure form the car is able to lap under 22 seconds,so expect to have a fast paced race where errors might be costly, either in form of time loss, position loss and damage with pace loss.

First 2 rounds had a repeated podium order, resulting in same order also in standings - with different track type we can expect also different results,so this round has a great potential to mix up situation in table, only question is - who will gain the benefit of it?

Round info:
Track: WE Dirt Oval (WE1X)
Laps: 100 (60km)
Car: IMPREZZIVE B2
Previous winners : S1DUS*R.Kardol (2024 / CZLS), ZFRL•Thehemuli (2022 / FXR), Trespasser (2020 / RB4), LLM.Sobis (2019 / RB4)

Server info and password will be PM'ed during sunday (european time) to all entrants, until then server remains publically accessible:

The 2025 of RandomCar started with a simple test race running candidate cars and few least used cars. This helped the organization to see how they perform under actual racing conditions and gave the racers the chance for a simple fun race with variating field of cars. 2 of the previously tested candidates turned out to have unnoticed updates - one received a reduced restriction, other lost all of it's balancing settings and still proved to be uncompetitive for high positions - the previously 2nd best car in voting will be moved to "tested and uncompetitive" row. Additionally 2 cars surely need additional restriction - the polesitter and race winner run away from competition unchallenged, while another car simply passed everyone on straights, allthough struggling in turns.

During the weekend a voting will be set up in our discord server with 5 cars from the candidates list - the one receiving most votes will be added as the 42nd car to official series lineup, which will start it's journey through 10 rounds of 2025 season on 11th february - the selected track is South City's longest standard configuration in reversed direction, which is a repeat track from 2023 round 7,won by R.Kardol with MZG Sedan. Full season information will be posted in less than 2 weeks - there will be few minor changes regarding drivers championship, manufacturers championship and draw procedure.
