They should show up in shift+U mode when you click on "edit" on lower left of the screen. Spacebar switches between menu on/off. If that does not help,I'm clueless. Then you have to show some screenshots.

Generally a nice car,but obviously unfinished - there are plenty of gaps where you can see through either ground or other car's parts. Also skin template is thrown together without caring as only one side is mapped (other probably mirrored) and there is something else going over the side part. Also engine should be transverse for a rear engined car with rear seats - currently part of an engine is an armrest for passengers in the rear of the car.
If these bugs gets sorted out, this car deffinitelly has a potential to become more than cruiser's transportation.

Quote from ZFRL•LG-mies via RG discord :RTFR CCCC (Mclarry_D8M) lap 11, t3 (the first one you brake into), Jereloco
I was braking to the corner as usual, closing to the outside kerb, when Jereloco went for a "divebomb" from outside with an extraordinarily late braking spot, rear-ending me with over 30km/h speed difference. It can be seen on the replay that he may have not made the corner if he hadn't hit me.

The description about late braking point is not really correct as observation showed that the driver in question did use quite similar braking point in following laps. However Jereloco should had been more careful seeing driver slightly off speed ahead and adjust his speed according to this - lack of this judgement led him to slide beside driver ahead, with cars that are very unstable under brakes by default, and hit it.

* PENALTIES :
Jereloco - receives a WARNING for avoidable contact on start of lap 11. Having the driver on the list with several warnings, knowing his history in other events and knowing his unchanging agressive racing style, this will be considered as final warning before actual race ban if the driver does not start to be more cautios and avoid incidents!

So we keep testing various different cars and their classes that are not in standard LFS cars list - this time we tried out under racing conditions a car from very crazy era. In early 70ies the sports cars were receiving big and powerful engines, but these were mounted in cars that consist of very basic construction and do not provide in modern times very well known aerodynamic help. This led to unbelievable speeds (racewinner clocked a speed of 336km/h) with car that struggles to turn in the bends all LFS drivers used to go through flat out without worries in every other car. Despite rear tyres with 45 centimeters width, many drivers struggled keep the car straight when accelerating out of turns, making the McLarry a love it or hate it car.

The driver latelly taking almost every victory lane latelly in normal RTFR reserved it for himself also yesterday - Gábor clocked the fastest known laptime in this combo in qualifying, beating his teammate in 2nd position by almost a second. He led every lap besides the one he lost lead due own mistake, but that was a temporary setback as he run away from competition to cross the finish line 43 seconds ahead of closest follower, scoring the 1st RTFR-CCCC race win. The event organizer also had his setback falling down the order after own mistake before reaching 1st proper turn, but during race drove by many struggling drivers and finished 2nd. 3rd was his teammate Lorenzo, who led a lap,but had to give up the earned 2nd position due blown tyre.

Next week RGE will present 2 events - first on tuesday the normal RTFR will feature a race with one of the slick tyre cars, more info as always during the weekend. 2nd event will take place on sunday and that will be a brand new event that will use 2-wheeled vehicles - motorcycles! Race Green Westhill Tourist Trophy is a time trial type event on the public roads of Westhill (using an updated Westschleifenring layout),where bike riders will be able to show their skills in competition, more info in the Westhill TT info thread!

In RTFR ( https://www.lfs.net/forum/462-Rony%27s-Tuesday%27s-Fun-Race ) there is quite variating skill level through field from world record owners to drivers starting to evolve their skill. Cleanness of racing is also variating - races are mostly clean, but some messy races happen, often incidents not reviewed because people are too lazy to report (but not too lazy to complain with general statements) as I rely on reports rather than going through replays. Already today is a race, but we'll be racing a very difficult car today as part of the experimental version of the event.

Anyway - leagues section with calender is a good help when searching for organized racing events, there are plenty of different events: https://www.lfs.net/leagues

Demo has the exactly same netcode as licenced version. The only reason is connection quality - you can see your ping in connections list (press N until it shows up),high or variating ping will cause very unstable cars movement. Also check where the server is located - if you're not in European server, your ping will be increased by default already.

After 3 years racing cars around public roads track named Westschleife,it's time to give the chance all the motorcycle riders show their skill - Race Green Events will present it's first ever event using 2-wheeled wehicles! Since the bikes are pretty much new to LFS,we will keep the format quite simple for the first try and instead of mass start race this will be a time trial race - every rider will race against clock in order to set best time on the course and beat rivals indirectly.

The Westschleife track has been simplified as bikes have really big trouble dealing with the slow turns - for this event there will be an 11.19 kilometers long track (from time trial starting point to finish line),featuring a very fast course with partially blind elevating curves and some tricky turns, few chicanes were unavoidable though. For the first ever motorcycle event we'll simply allow all publically available motorcycles without any restrictions - it's all about riders skill again,as powerful bikes are really difficult to handle, drastically increasing the chances of falling, while slower bikes are less risky and it's much more possible to finish the distance without scratching bodywork.

We present this event as a big unknown,as there has not been such event in LFS before! The organization can just wildly guess the best course laptimes being under 5 minutes. Also we have no tips about fuel requirement for the distance or setups - it's all up to riders to find this out. Since it's quite easy to fall down when riding a bike, organization will help drivers to complete the track with an insim app (kindly made and configured by Jam) - there will be a command to put the bike up on it's wheels and even turn 90° in case stuck against wall, the default LFS vehicke reset will not be allowed during official phase of the event as it also repairs the bike.

Timetable:
Sunday,10th July
16:30 UTC / 18:30 CET - start of 3 hours open track time trial mode
19:30 UTC / 21:30 CET - end of session,no new runs can be started, all riders on track can still finish their runs
* the shown CET time is current (summer) time - if not residing in CET time zone, always refer to UTC for correct time zone convertion!

Guidelines during the event:
* Server will be password protected and password will be posted in this thread. No signups required.
* Riders will be allowed to start their runs with approx. 30 seconds gap.
* At the start of the session all riders will be called out in connections order, after the order has been complete, riders have to request a run by clicking on host's name (Race Green Events) in connections list and type "requesting a run". Riders will be queued in requests order and administration will allow them to join track, riders will have approx. 10 seconds time to join.
* There is no limit how many runs a rider can take, however it can be limited by amount of other participants and their run requests.
* In case a faster rider has cought a slower one,the slower rider has to act similary as under blue flag - rider may not block an overtaking attempt, while faster rider has to pass in safe manner.
* In case of a fall, riders can put up the bike on wheels with command ";flip" (semicole+flip),there will be 2 seconds delay between command has been typed and executed. An additional command ";turn" (semicole+turn) will turn the bike 90° to the left direction. Note that commands are available only when the bike is stationary!
* There are no restrictions in bike or it's setup usage, however slick tyres are strongly suggested. In final results rider will be scored with best time of the session and the bike the time was set with.
* It is expected riders are familiar with the track and the bike they have selected, make sure you have at least some practice before the event.
* As per standard LFS rules, touching movable objects will add 2 seconds penalty, false start - 30 seconds penalty. These penalties will have affect the result of the run.

Rules:
* In case a faster rider has cought a slower one,the slower rider has to act similary as under blue flag - rider may not block an overtaking attempt, while faster rider has to pass in safe manner.
* It is forbidden to change name during event - participants should select their name (the one you usually use and wish to be identified with) before start of the event.
* Absolutelly no stopping on track - if for some reason a rider cannot continue his run, spectate and request a new run when it's possible again.

Other info:
*Event server - server is online,is set in practice mode with pratice layout (no time trial start) and has an Airio for laptime tracking (due hexadecimal code, most mods laptimes cannot be shown on simple !top table). Airio can spectate connections with very high and unstable ping for safety reasons (stable connections even from Australia should not be affected). Server will be open for public use until event day. For private practice feel free to use the attached layout. Server link (click2join): Race Green Events
*Event will be held using the latest stable version of LFS (currently 0.7D),compatible older versions are tolerated.
*All information here can be changed,if so,notification will be posted about changes.

Last time we raced a 700+ horsepower car and this week we'll do the same as power increase is quite slight. What's the real difference in this race is the weight - the car for upcoming race is 8 times lighter than previous one as it consists of tubular frame, big fat V8 engine and fragile glass fiber body. It's a sportscar from very early 70ies,which features a rear wing, but will have trouble turning into fast turns as front does not have much aero input for the handling! Make sure you don't underestimate the slight bends in all 3 longer straights as you'll be reaching 300km/h very fast, sensitive throttle foot is not an option,it's a requirement!

Quote from markknightpz :A month ban would be about right, that's not exactly a big deal, hopefully that would curb the idiocy.

Past has shown that some people tend to be uncurable, hence the "in the corner" is often tunred into "no longer welcome" after few days. Also - ban from forum just means they cannot write, they can still read all the threads,in worst case at least the public ones as the forum is publically reachable.

1. Moderators should take over the moderating job, there are quite few here.
2. If the thread is so prone to receive negative comments, maybe add some option that only licenced users can comment. Then creation of new accounts would even an income. Big grin

I'm also curious what's happening and what's being worked on now,so I'm interested to read. Somehow happens that I'm the one who relays such info to other communities - in latvian simracing discord (where people are more focused on that italian product) I'm the one who gets tagged if something needs to be known about LFS.

Race statistics / RTFR .mpr folder / Event rating and other statistics (will be updated later this week)

Between normal RTFR races we cleared the UF from steroids and raced it in the default version - normal tyres,no beefed up engine and no locked differential. As always it's a challenge of it's own. Having the rather low attendance during this "offseason" we dared to select a sprint track with just over 1.5km lap length, where the slow car still needed almost one minute to circle around it - two possible overtake places per lap and close racing type of car did gave some drivers plenty of disputes for positions.

The defending 2-time UF1 race winner however did not have much battles or even challengers for position - late in qualifying he set a new lap record beating closely arranged competition by almost 2 tenths, while positions 2-4 were split by a hundredth between each of them. Gábor scored his 9th pole position, led all 33 laps of the race and crossed the finish line to score his 14th race win, setting fastest lap of the race on the way, which is his 9th and his top5 finish is his 27th. It's also Gábor's 2nd winning streak and a chance to score a better streak. Fatal was on the bottom end in the close qualifying battle, but starting from 4th position gave him the chance to advance to 2nd position in the race results - that's his 12th top5 finish. Spirts got the best RTFR race ever - he qualified 2nd,which is 2 positions better than previous best and despite losing a position in the race, the 3rd place finish is a 3 positions improvement from his previous best. Arska also lost a position between green and chequered, finished 4th and scored his 17th top5 finish, his countryman Doni started from 10th and climbed up to the last top5 finishing position, which is his 11th top5 finish.

If there will be a race next week under RTFR-CCCC tag, will be decided rather spontaniously during the weekend, but RGE will start preperations for it's 1st 2-wheeled event (teaser was already posted) - few final things to be polished up and info could be posted this weekend, aiming the event to be held on sunday in 2 weeks. But before scaring people of a fall-a-rama,it's worth to mention it won't be a MotoGP type of race,we have different kind of competition on mind.

Quote from michal 1279 :For me as a statistics junkie that is very discouraging.

Still what people do offline should be none of anyone's business.

Anyway on topic - besides suggestion,I would like to see some kind of stepwise implementation of mods to hotlapping. Mods should be possible to be marked as "finished" and not possible to be updated anymore (at least physicswise) and then in community we could have some voting which mod of the finished list (requiring also approved status) should make into official hotlapping charts. To not overrush this - make such voting once per month or something like that.

A month later than last year, the most challenging RGE event returned with a very colorful field - a total of 14 different cars were represented in the 21 cars big grid. From the choice of 39 cars,20 were selected in 31 entries. One of the entries was not complete,7 did not arrive for the event,2 did not complete a single timed lap during qualifying. The heaviest car was 2.5 times heavier than the lightest and engine power ranged from 168 to 404 horsepower. And yet cars seemed to be balanced well enough to have 6 different models in top6 of final results, while in top16 only 2 models had multiple entries. With 4 cars on grid the lightweight mid-engine Acosta Starlin was the most popular car, while the LFS's home grown XRT was 2nd most popular with 3 cars on the grid.

With this variety also the previous tradition of 3 different cars on the podium was repeated - the Team S1dus entry was dominating the event with their all wheel drive RB4. The only multidriver entry this year never had the sligtest challenge from competition as they set an almost 13 seconds faster laptime than the competition in qualifying, while they were charging away from the field very fast, leading every single of 21 laps to finish with safe 4.5 minutes gap from 2nd place, which effectively is about half a lap gap. Both of the drivers were entered also in the 1st edition of the event in 2020 just in seperate entries, where Litti with the same RB4 finished 2nd just 4.5 seconds behind winning team, while Gábor qualified 18th using XRT,but did not start.

Their teammate Unite entered this event for the first time under name Saab and finished 2nd,repeating RAC's success from last year. Despite 2 pitstops he finished just 2 seconds ahead of closest rival Atmaca, run by Onur with FXO - the winning car of 2020 was not entered last year, but returned on podium right on return. Best of the non-standard LFS cars finished 4th,unsurprisingly it was the most popular car in the event - Acosta Starlin, run by FU Racing and their driver Nosle. Last year's winner Ferat Motors finished 5th,Michal was running XRT for the 3rd year in row.

Seems like the decision to extend the track was not really popular with the drivers, while the addition of mod cars was the real boost to event's popularity this year, resulting in biggest grid in event's short 3 years history. Regarding future plans - we'll check the situation next year to decide if we're ready to extend the distance or run same 300 kilometers again, while the track might get few twistier sections removed to give it a little more speed. Of course with like 10 months time for preperation we'll have plenty of new cars available for selection for next edition and if we're lucky, maybe even with new graphics/lighting to fulfill the original wish to start the event on late afternoon and finish under sunset.

Race Green Events thanks all drivers for participation and guys behind the scenes for their input and efforts - Maciek,Deko and modders. As always everyone is welcome to share their experience from the event, either in form of text, pictures or videos! Also (even if that rarely happens) - we're awaiting winner's speach!

Race statistics / RTFR XL .mpr folder / Event rating and other statistics (will be updated during the week)

Just like 2 weeks ago in RTFR-CCCC,also this week we pushed LFS physics to it's limits - this time with extraordinary amounts of aero downforce from a modern F1 car, creating problems for car's suspension. This was also the most powerful car ever used in any RTFR race with it's engine delivering close to 1000 horsepower. This car coupled with the elevation rich Aston Grand Touring circuit, created a set of problems for the drivers - firstly many weren't ready for the challenge (lowest attendance since 48th RTFR XL),secondly - these, who still tried, had difficulties to complete it,resulting in the lowest ever finishing rate in RTFR XL history,as only half of the starters are classified in race results and just quarter crossed the finish line after cheqered flag was displayed.

Number started the race from 2nd row,but with help of huge pull these cars are creating he managed to slip in lead already entering 1st turn and gave up the lead only during pitstops shuffling. At the finish line the croatian celebrated his 1st ever race win in the series with the 5th biggest margin of victory in RTFR XL history, scoring also his 1st fastest lap of the race and 2nd top5 finish (previous best was 2nd place). Mod creator Raigs joined the extended RTFR for the first time and used his advantage to finish 2nd in the race, which is also 2 positions better than previous best result for all the brazilians. Another south american driver finished 3rd - Pablo improved his previous best results in both sessions by 3 positions, qualifying for the race in 2nd position. Despite rolling the car in final lap,the event host still is classified in 4th position, scoring his 26th top5 finish,he was also the only other driver besides winner to lead a lap. And despite the domination in past by scoring 1/3 of all top5 finishes,Finland got just a single top5 finish from this race - brought home by T.Soini in 5th position, which is his 9th top5 finish. There is one more driver left to mention - the polesitter. Gábor scored his 4th pole position, but could not make much use of it and was scored 8th after retiring few laps after reaching half way mark.

* FUN FACT OF THE MONTH :
Just like both previous races with an F1 car (BF1),also this featured race distance with just over 300 kilometers. That resulted in 2nd highest average speed of the race with 231.5km/h,losing only to 46th RTFR XL which featured BF1@KY3B combo.

* CLOCK PITTER OF THE RACE :
From high forces on the suspension, everyone was forced to fix damage, extending all pitstop times - the shortest was by Nando Lonso, who stopped for 15 seconds in his pitstop.

* FIELD RUSHER OF THE RACE :
Despite timing out Nando Lonso got himself also in this paragraph - starting 14th he improved himself to 6th position in race results, with a progress of 8 positions he is best in the highest climber chart.

VOD at Youtube:

With this ends the RGE 300km race series during 3 days - we're back to shorter races again in nearest future. The combo for next RTFR XL has already beed submitted - it will be the 6th appearance of FZR,putting this car in lead in most used cars chart. The venue is also a return as it's the same track that was mentioned hosting fastest RTFR XL race ever - Kyoto GP Long with Boothy chicane. That's the plan for the tuesday in 4 weeks, but next week in normal RTFR we will race one of the original LFS street legal cars - more details on that in the weekend.
