Quote from Victor :It's a shame people now start to think i don't care. I've always cared, but since LFS's income got so low due to inactivity I had to find another full time job which is keeping me extremely busy these days, leaving very little time left for LFS. And I also want to spent some of my free time as actual free time every now and then, otherwise what's the point of life? Also, if there are more important things that need fixing, then I'll look at those first.
But items that are posted in the bugs section will be looked at, when I have time.

Sorry if I sounded a little harsh, wasn't my intention. What I found weird is that nobody of the usually helping people posted in my bug thread, Flame and you do so well your job that I got too used to get inmediate help and solutions

Up your game to the tone of a single malt.

Have you been hosting your own races? If I remember correctly, that can screw up your logging in to other servers if you don't clear the info in the hosting race form.

Quote from Mustafur :Yet it was the Brits who still sided against the German.

The German who was wrong and has admitted he is wrong. Bit ridiculous to make out like the Brits supporting their nation's drivers is somehow odd when it absolutely is not.

Quote from Mustafur :The thing is Rosberg already started to withdraw from the move before he hit Hamilton.

Either way its still a racing incident dispite the many pages this bs is still going on.

One thing you don't do in F1 is hit a brit, your gonna have a bad time especially if your German.

Whilst to incur the wrath of Australian fans, all a German has to do is not let the Aussie win http://www.mirror.co.uk/sport/ ... -sebastian-vettel-3244181

Why would they take it negatively that people think fondly of work they have done?

Quote from DeadWolfBones :It's still victim-blaming.

As ACCAkut pointed out, these routes are and have been standard operating procedure. A military force of one kind or another shot a civilian plane out of the sky here. That should never happen. End of story.

danielroelofs, you really shouldn't encourage mental illness.

Victim blaming? You think the airline company is the victim? I'd rather say the passengers and the crew are the victims, you know, the dead people. They didn't get a say on the route.

Quote from ACCAkut :Well...

Yeah apparently they fly over Afghanistan as well as a number of dodgy places. They get given information about how high to fly based on what intelligence is available on the range of anti aircraft weapons. Which is ok until Russia or some other large power supplies something bigger on the quiet.

The shitty thing is the politically based finger pointing from sides. The blame is entirely on the cost cutting airlines. I am sure if you had gone down the cabin of that plane prior to take off and said "Ok, guys, we'll be short cutting it over Donetsk, you know that region where both sides are supplied with all of Russia's finest equipment" everyone would have got the hell off it.

It doesn't matter who fired it, the plane should not have been there and all this does is expose the need to check the routes of long distance flights because clearly safety is of secondary concern to some airlines.

Quote from wildstyle :Probably because they didn't know what state Kimi was in immediately after the crash, so to avoid showing anything macabre (in case of a brutal/fatal accident) it's probably for the best.

It was quite a spinny affair so I doubt there would be much but a blur.

Making setups is part of the game and stealing setups is cheating. It's part of the job of a dev of an online game to fix cheating exploits so saying "someone's figured out the encryption but I am not going to fix it because someone will figure it out again" is a lazy abdication of responsibility. Hacking is not a problem that can be solved, it is a problem that is continuously mitigated against. Hackers are like herpes.

Yes, you can say that you make setups in the knowledge that they may be stolen by hackers but also, you make an online game in the knowledge that you will need to continuously fix security holes or else people will slowly find it unplayable and leave.

As I said, making setups is part of the game and making setups freely downloadable from other players would dumb the game down. Personally when I race in the absolute beginners league, I'll share setups with people who come practice on the servers in the week but I am not that bothered sending to people who turn up an hour before the race, without practice, asking for setups. Setups are subjective to a person but only to a point and time invested should give people an advantage in a game.

New Westhill looks great, especially the revamped chicane. Will the old westhill still be available to play after the update?

Personally, I'd like to see Native Linux support in the future (WINE is a hit and miss make do) SteamOS is going to be good news for hardware support (logitech wheels already work on it, I do believe anyway). Plus a native linux LFS program would allow for a dedicated LFS Distribution which would be awesome for people who wanted to run dedicated simulator machines amongst the many other reasons to move away from Windows.

I also think Windows is of the past now. The products are getting progressively more silly.

Quote from cargame.nl :Yep I don't need or want to share my contacts with people I don't know at all. Nothing to do with paranoia, just being careful. Things you share cannot be unshared.

Why would you care about people being able to see who is on your steam contacts list?

I bought some DLC multiplayer maps for a games and found nobody played them and only the maps available in the main game. So I am thinking, if this mod nordschleife is free for all and the official one will be DLC, will that pretty much mean nobody will play the official one online?

I think Scawen is writing a program which will take over every computer and turn it into a racing simulator. A plague will then emit from the fans of computers and infect people, their hands will turn into racing gloves, their head will form racing helmets, their feet racing boots. They will not be able to eat, only pipe themselves into lfsworld for nourishment. The human race will face the prospect of spending the rest of its lives doing every type of race from 4 lap demo sprints to 24 hour endurance.

Whilst people are distracted , Scawen will empty everyone's bank account in a way iRacing could only dream of, only to find that with no way to spend it, Money is worthless. So everyone will timeout of the master server and go back to normal.

Quote from cargame.nl :No, you don't read so lets do it one more time;

Do you need bold?

Lets do it with bold;

The thing is... Nothing was ready last week, something was made up to buy more time. Stupid move.

What they were going to release on 25th was not finished, it's early access. Meaning, if they had released it, it wouldn't have been finished, they'd have continued working on it. What they were going to release on Friday just gone was not finished either. All that happened was they spent an extra week, minus one day, working on it and in that time unexpectedly broke something. To say they deceived you would be working on the assumption that you were getting a finished product of a multiplayer, which is idiotic.

Quote from ACCAkut :Pretty sure he means car roll, as he compares with LFS which has no body flex either (does any race sim even have it yet?)

One thing I find really odd, while I always drive from cockpit view in LFS, I can't get to grips with it in AC (always use bumper cam). Somehow the AC cockpit view feels sort of disconnected for me, anyone got a clue what I mean and might need to change?

This might be stating the obvious but in the default cockpit settting, the view is "fixed to horizon". If that is on, turn it off.

I agree, it's almost as tedious to read as watching drifting videos.

Nilex has 191.6 thousand racing miles, you have 40 thousand. I would imagine this would have more of a difference to your respective pace than the difference between the controllers you use with the same setup.

Quote from CodeLyoko1 :so you are talking stuff without knowing for sure what happened. You post something what happened 4 months ago on a random moment in public, not over pm. you are just trying to get LLM their reputation down. There are moments where calling someone an idiot is right. here's one.

You are a facking idiot

I was showing the attitude I had seen from some LLM drivers and you are just proving my point by running your mouth. For what it's worth, my memory of the incident was correct except it was a FOX race. :wave2:
