Quote from Gutholz :I know moderators do not get paid for what they do so after a while it can become boring.
Still I think moderators should service the forum instead of ranting about these same ever repeating things.
You have the power to make a difference by doing small things.
For example since years the league section has many inactive subforums, making it very cluttered. Why is nobody sorting that out?
Sure, it is not exciting as an LX8 but if new players can more easily find which leagues are currently running that is a nice thing, too.

This said in an adjacent thread is correct. It's all very nice having an archive of leagues from years ago but having to scroll past a list of them to get to information about current events is silly. Make the LFS leagues and events forum tidier and current so that people can easily see what's going on rather than having to click down into sub forums and then put that at the top of the forum.

Quote from BlueFlame :I couldn't find a bit where it specified they were the same as F1 tyres or not, it only said the compounds used were the same..

"Just as is the case for Formula One, the P Zero Yellow soft and P Zero Red supersoft tyres have been nominated" That means the same tyres.

http://www.gp2series.com/News- ... ns-and-glamour-of-Monaco/ I just typed "gp2 tyres" and this was first on the list, proper detective work that.

What bothers me about the tyre thing is that it's completely dependant on what Pirelli do how teams fortune's go. So mercedes are being heavy on their tyres, therefore they have relied on Pirelli making their tyres at least somewhat durable. Ferrari and Lotus seemingly the other way but Pirelli, who appear to be just playing this by ear a little too much could have quite easily made a tyre more durable than they meant too for teh Spanish grand prix and this would have favoured Red Bull and Mercedes, nobody has actual time to prepare and they just seem to be some sort of lottery of design your car a certain way and hope Pirelli makes tyres that favour your design. It's stupid.

I'd much rather than they limit the amount fuel they can use, at least that would be tactical and encourage some form of coherent technology advance.

Quote from sti228 :Thank you for information people. Today i make icard in bank, and they told me to come and took it tomorrow. Also they said that 5 $ is Charges for 1 year. So tomorrow i will upload 45 or 47 $ in my card.

But now i am interested how to pay for game. What is this extra credit ? It's for skin slots ?

I have 2 questions. First one. Which one i must choose here ? I think - first, because icard is credit card.

And than how to fill it ?

I think tomorrow i will try to buy it, but with this funcion: Buy LFS S2 license (unlock S1 & S2 level content).

Hope everything will be alright, and i don't have payment problems.

P. S. Can i somehow find people (from georgia) who already have S2 license ? Or list of this licensed members from our country.

The credit is for downloading hi res skins of other players in game. Wait till you play, if you have a good spec computer and other player's skins look crap to you, then that gives you the option of making it hi res.

You fill the form with your card details and address. The field titles are pretty self explanatory.

Couple of screen shots from races. In the first, I was approaching an off and the pic is taken through the chucked up dirt. The second was a near miss of a stationary spun car

Not defending those people because people should be polite and welcoming to newbies but it's not a perfect world and by 14 he should be mature enough to rise above a load of crap talk in a computer game without needing his dad to come online and make a fool of himself in the forum.

If you ask me, Vettel was the only one thinking long term. Him winning a fourth WDC by less than 7 points is a far more likely scenario than Mark Webber being 1st or a close 2nd.

I prefer league (I race in the beginners one) racing. I find the task of learning a specific combo for a race much better for learning the sim. Also go on the server and practice with other people in the league and I can watch them and learn from them which is useful. I raced in a 50 minute long GT2 race which had a 31 car starting grid. It was great fun and I find it way way better than 5 minutes round blackwood which I've done to death and that in itself is the demo limiting (although I bought S2 pretty soon anyway after i found the game)

There are quite a few leagues and some really interesting events that happen but they are not pushed at the forefront of the game which I think is a wasted opportunity as it doesn't really do what's happening in the game justice when someone logs on to a cluttered looking server list of mostly empty hosts and sees sometimes only a handful of people. League news is posted on an obscure bit of lfsworld/stats rather than on the main site. Plus why isn't there a bit on the LFS site linking into the video footage of live races and when none are on, showing replays of recent races? Or some of the videos posted in the movies section.

Quote from Mustafur :Like the fact they had to sack 250 stuff to operate, i doubt they would of done that for fun.

Quote :Brawn GP had more money flowing into its coffers last year than Ferrari, Red Bull, McLaren and Renault yet it didn't have a car manufacturer or a billionaire backing it. Remarkably, Brawn had even higher revenue last year than in 2008 when it was fully owned by Honda, the biggest-spending car manufacturer in the history of Formula One.

Quote :The accounts reveal that the team's total costs fell 18.8% to £135.1m with £7.5m of the fall coming from slashed staff costs.

Quote :Cutting costs clearly did the trick. Brawn GP's pre-tax profit accelerated from £1.3m in 2008 to £98.7m the following year and the management shared a £20m dividend.

Quote from Mustafur :Honda did give them a redundency allowence which they used to contend the season however it was miniscule compared to rival teams budgets, the link you just posted even states that.

It also states a lot of other things.

Quote from Mustafur :Brawn had to take risks to catch up some ground, either way like newey at Red Bull before the big reg change in 2009 he isn't going to be able to do much till the regulations open up again( since falling behind badly after Brawn F1s lack of budget).

Speaking of Brawn's lack of money and that "barely 10%" budget http://www.pitpass.com/42149-T ... -Brawn-GPs-record-revenue

Quote :They weren't sacked, they were made redundant. Because the budget was barely 10% of Honda's

That means nothing to the point I was making.

Quote :The DDRS was a huge screw up. Only 4 teams copied it. Terrible.

I suspect you are thinking of the wrong man/team. Perhaps you've mistaken Brawn and Mercedes for Luis Perez-Sala and HRT?

Is making something for your car that makes it go slower not a screw up?

http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/formula1/19064856

Even Brawn thinks he screwed up on double drs so I don't know why you disagree.

Apparently getting rid of Ross Brawn is quite controversial but he's hardly shone as a principal from the moment he sacked a load of the work force that built him a championship winning car. The double DRS thing last year was quite a big screw up.

Quote from dawesdust_12 :Why are you so excited. It's pretty lame. A collision less mesh. It's not really a "great" thing. It's just that nobody has been stupid enough to attempt it because its a stupid idea.

A real track would be exciting, this shit is just a car mesh. How is that anything cool or good?

Agreed.
