or MAYBE it´s something that he can reproduce in win xp/vista/7, with the same comp specs? ever thought about that? it MIGHT be a problem with his hardware not liking something in the new testpatch.. we dont know, you dont know, and the poster sure as hell dont know.

i have 2gb ram, Windows 7 x86..
i render sometimes, i play games (lfs, crysis, j2 hin, css, bioshock) i have NEVER gotten the "low memory" message on this rig
the thing is; just because you can, why do you need to do 100 things at the same time? if u wanna render + surf (100 tabs) get a second pc or something... still dont see how all of that can take up all of ur memory tho :/

i like the improvements that came with z13, but still, for the love of god, dont understand why ABS blocks wheel-lock-ups when standing still..
i would like to see a setting where u could change the minimum speed @ which the ABS starts working. i mean.. when going forward/backward, when coming under a certain speed the wheels lock. but not when standing still, braking hard and trying to do a burnout...

yes ofc i did... well no, as i didnt find all of those things in the first place, and seconldy i wrote "the handling may not be exactly right".. it has the power, torque and such as the real deal tho.. + gearing..

EDIT: got it working! same weight, gearing, engine size, and such..
rename the *.TWK.COL to *.TWK only :P
not sure of the handling... it might be close but i dont promise u anything :P
the torque is of by 20nm, and its base is 100rpm too low.
the hp is @ 141 and lies @ 2100 or something... couldnt get it better tbh :/
Well i have never been in a car with a revlimiter as dull as the one in LFS..
Every car i have ever been in has a "bouncy" revlimiter, which in mho is more realistic then one that just limits, without anything happening
Well i havent done any of the testing in-game, so cant try it. but exactly where do u start? on the last screenshot i started just after the chicane, and still was OVER 190 when passing under the bridge..
EDIT: Just did the test, called "HIGH SPEED BRAKING", and i had no problems with it. Just hold the car @ 196 when u go past the tirestacks, and then push the brakes all the way down.. worked for me..

EDIT: WOW! didnt see that u had to start AFTER the chicane.. LOL! then its another thing will try that too tho..
EDIT2: Tho i still dont get the prob :P did a 190+, even after starting where the asphalt changes color.. on the start of the straight... hmm.. pls tell me exactly where to start, or what the problem is :S
Well, if the LFS devs has been working on the car (and i mean only the car, which i dont think) for the last 5 months, then im pretty sure that they have made improvements to the suspensions in LFs to resemble the real deal. If not, then its just not a REAL car, in the way im seeing it
As above, i believe that they are going to make it special by incorporating all the real stuff in lfs.. and i really hope that the car is something special..

It wont make u faster and it cant be counted as a cheat, as all it does is make u stay at a certain rpm at the start, or whenever u want it to.. how can it make u faster? if u spin the wheels at the start cause ur flooring it, wouldnt u spin them at 4k also?
just so stupid, if someone wants a Launch Control, let them have it. I think it would be a fun thing to play around with.. just like that RPM Limiter thingie someone did.. just a fun thing ffs..
I downloaded the source, but cant get it to load up all of the "project".
It wont load up the "UserConnection1.Dsr" when opening "Virtual_LFS_Dash_v0.2.2.vbp".
+ there is multiple places in the code which VS6 wont allow compilation of..
Thats sad as my programming skills are a little rusty :P
Would have loved to keep this program up-to-date :/
