Apparently this hasn't been requested before (or I didn't search for the correct terms).
In the Colours screen of the Garage, it would be very handy to have a color picker (à la Photoshop). Here's how I'd expect it to work:
1. Click on a colour box (the rounded rectangle, next to the sliders, that actually shows the defined colour): the cursor changes into a pipette.
2. Click with the pipette anywhere in the screen (most probably on the car's skin): the cursor changes back into the regular cursor, and the colour you selected is applied to the color box you clicked in step 1 (whose sliders are then updated).
Yes, but jouer is also valid when talking of video or music that you're not making yourself, like jouer un disque (although this use is less and less frequent). So technically, rejouter wouldn't be wrong.
Nah, that would be too long. And as I said, any sound is unnecessary, here. I don't think any of us is blind or needs a wake up call at that point. But if there must be a sound, then IMO a single synth tone would be much nicer than this eek eek eek.
True (even though the last couple of times it happened to me I didn't notice these warnings). But still, it wouldn't hurt to have a more friendly transition.
I've been disconnected a few times from multiplayer game because my net connection had a hiccup, and I find the way it happens quite unfriendly: you're suddenly dropped to a screen saying you've been disconnected, with an alert-like repeating sound. When you're in deep concentration driving on the edge, this can give you quite a shock!
It would be much nicer, IMO, if the driving view froze for a second before fading slowly to show the next screen, or something like that. And please drop the unnecessary alert sound or make it much less agressive. Maybe something like oooooooooooooooo...
I limit the framerate to 90 on my MacPro. But keep in mind that CrossOver is still in beta, Becky. So performance improvements are probably due at some point.
MrNase: Are those 42 FPS in single player, or multiplayer?
I love the Nordschleife, and I'd love to race it in lfs, but only in leagues with "selected" drivers. I'm afraid it wouldn't work at all for public servers. Other tracks I'd love to have are Spa, Suzuka and Silverstone (I'm surprised this one hasn't been mentioned yet, BTW).
I use LFB in LFS and RFB on the road. I learned to drive on manual gearbox and since then I never owned a car with an automatic gearbox. But each time I've driven one, I've used the right foot too. I prefer to keep a very clear distinction between my driving style when racing and when driving on open roads/streets.
I agree that it's not really imaginable to force people to lift under yellow flags, but I think that at least enforcing the overtaking interdiction (with penalties) would be good.
Even if I don't always lift when I see a yellow flag, I often change my line to reserve more room for evasive action, and that opens wide the door for the guy behind to overtake me, which he always does. I really wouldn't mind him to get a drive-through for his kamikaze move, in this case.
Blue flags should be enforced too, IMO, but it's a bit more complex because you should still be allowed to unlap yourself when you're faster than the car that gives you the blue flag.
It would be very cool to have more ways to manage buddies on LFS World, particularly the way they appear in the menus, etc. I'd like to be able to "rename" them (for my eyes only), so I could prefix their name with their team name to get them ordered, or make more readable those with a odd username.
Sorry if this has been already discussed I couldn't find it.
And what about those who vote to restart as soon as they're logged in on the server? And those who vote to restart as soon as they crash anywhere in a race? I've seen a fair number of both!
I'm not sure if this is related to TV Director, but now that I've tried it, when I switch to free view (shift-u) during a replay (with TV Director NOT running), the buttons are no longer displayed. The commands are still working but I can't find how to display the buttons again. What do I miss?
Update: never mind, I found that I had to press the space key.
I don't have time to work on translations these days, but I might find some time to review them.
[OT]Not sure what the nationalist "joke" referred to, but it definitely doesn't apply to nationalists only: Ze yes needs ze no... to win... against ze no. (Jean-Pierre Raffarin, French Prime Minister—by then) [/OT]
I'm trying LFS Companion (v0.514b Alpha) and I have a problem I haven't seen mentioned here. Backfire sounds work, fuel alerts too, but I'm not getting any other pit messages (yes, they're all set to On).
I've tried several times to lock LFSC as described in the first message, but when I go to LFSC's config screen and try to lock it, it keeps reading "(Searching [0/0])" instead of my name.
I found two different versions of LFSC (one linked from here and one on the LFS Database) and I'm not completely sure which is the most recent, but I've tried them both with the same result.
