I don't have a clutch pedal, so I use auto-clutch. Most of the times I don't have any trouble with the new clutch, except on the first lap, when I sometimes have to try 2 or 3 times before it will shift up (even though I release the throttle completely while shifting up).

Am I the only one to experience this? Is it because the clutch is still too cold?

Thank you, Gai-Luron!

Glad to see the issue resolved, too!

Quote from Mazz4200 :Erm didn't you make a mod similar to this a while back ?

Nope, FlipCams doesn't affect the side look, it just allows to have more than one custom view per car.

Good points, though.

I love the graphic changes, but I think the tracks may be a bit too forgiving, now. :hide:
Improved look left/right for Y

The only thing I don't like much in the new patch is the new 45° side look and the need to press two buttons to get 90°.

I liked Becky Rose's suggestion in this thread but it doesn't look like we're going to get that in Y.

So how about having both 45° and 90° on the same button, with a user option to define the delay after which LFS goes from 45° to 90°? So if you press the button and release it quickly, you get the 45° view only, and if you press it a bit longer, it switches from 45° to 90.

Also, that way, if you don't like the 90° view you could set the delay to 3 seconds, or something, and if you don't like the 45° view, you'd set it to 0.

How does that sound?

I love that patch! The only thing that bothers me a bit is the 45° look and the need to use two buttons to get 90°.

Quote from Scawen :Live for Speed will be used as part of the selection process, before testing in real cars. V1 asked us to create a Formula BMW to make this test as realistic as possible.

Wow! Congratulations, Scawen! This really shows how good and realistic LFS is! This is not a surprise to us, of course, but it's great to see it confirmed by race engineers IRL!

It works in replays exactly like it does live. In fact, FlipCams has absolutely no way to determine if you're in a replay or not.

I suggest you to read this post that explains how to get started.

Excellent, GF, really!

I'm also seeing the two and half minutes of nothingness at the end of the wmv I downloaded, btw, but obviously nothing's missing so it's not a problem. Well done again, mate, brilliant job!

I have a problem related with TeamSpeak messages. Something causes LFSRelax to exit, but I'm not sure what. Possibly people joining or quitting the channel. All I see when it happens is a message in LFS that says something like "Insim application closed". This crash doesn't occur when I turn TeamSpeak messages off from LFSRelax's config file. But when they're enabled, it always crashes soon or later.

Am I the only one to see this?

Thanks for the feedback and the +1's.

You can do what you want, but it may not be very handy:

Once you've set the cameras for a given car—let's say the RB4, for example—go to your LFS\data folder. There you'll find a folder named "views" and four folders named "views_cam*" (where * is a number). In each of these folders, duplicate the file named "RB4.cvw", and name the copy with the code of another car (for example "UF1.cvw"). That will duplicate the corresponding RB4's cam for the UF1.

And now you see why I said that it wouldn't be very handy.

It was triggered by Alonso claiming that the last set of tyres fitted to his car during Chinese's Q3 had been overinflated on purpose to help Hamilton getting on pole.

Very nice! But I hope you're using FlipCams. If you're not, it would allow you much more flexibility.

Good riddance indeed! I'd like Montagny to get his wheel, but I'm afraid it's not going to happen.

Quote from Intrepid :I would agree but it's probably sponsorship obligations... probs somewhere in the contract of the people directing the feed to show the leader crossing the line first... and lets face if your Santander paying all that money, your team winning, and then not getting any exposure you would be narked...something a long those lines.....

but i agree yh for sure... shame we missed a bit of the battle

Yeah, you're probably right about having to do it by contract. But they could find ways to show both at the same time, if they bothered. And anyway, the director missed a lot of action during the rest of the race, too.

Quote from zeugnimod :And anyway, how stupid must you be to start with intermediates under these conditions?

A bit strange, if you ask me.

Depends on the weather forecast you got. Since the start was behind the SC, if the rain had stopped the track might have dried enough during the SC period for the intermediate tyres to be an advantage. It was an aggressive strategy, not a stupid one, IMO.

Great race! But the TV director was quite bad. What's the point of showing LH cruising his last lap, while Räikkönen passes Kovalainen who passes him back?! That's what I wanted to see, FFS!

I use LHD and metric system IRL, and RHD and British units in LFS (because my team is England-based and most of my team mates are English).
